Also in the CoLS server i was the FireBlastTheo1 person who was saying good luck way too many times and said "the final floor" and "unless you do the secret ending which i kinda doubt but also don't doubt idk you do you" so technically i was in a video i guess. you are one of my favorite youtubers.
If you don't like purism or hours of torment, I recommend not doing todt as your first school when you get there, It has quite a few long purist jumps, takes a hell lot of time, and a bunch of loopfailing. It personally took me around like 12 hours of straight gameplay when I did it as my first sc. Also, cotaw is my favorite citadel and I'm glad you played it. Another tip is to use the jtoh unofficial practice place from gammator and to watch ademiere's guides on towers, they help with sightreading and contain lots of info. I hope this helps out a little. about non-transparent cancollide false: they actually are indicated pretty well and pretty easy to see, they usually are different from the normal parts also to be sure, you can use your camera to move it into the block, if it goes in the block then the block is cancollide false hope that helps!

gg on triple jeopardy!!!! although toaf has quite alot of purism, it is extremely fun and thats coming from a person who beat toaf when my hardest was cohad as long as you practice the punishing parts (floor 6, 9 outside and floor 10) i bet you will have a really good time, even if you fail floor 10
Maybe you should try ToSR in Ashen Towerworks? It's Intense and isn't really punishing. (there is a timer at the end where if you fail you get softlocked.)
If you ever end up making a god forbidden 6th part, then I highly recommend ToDD and CoHaD as they're extremely fun towers with interesting gameplay mechanics. ToDD even gives you a lantern! Not like you need it...
a few tips in general: cols was a really bad idea, considering how its on the higher end of intense and you struggled with cogs. For now id reccomend stuff like soba from garden of eeshol, astral fusion in zone 6, and hazardous ladering also in zone 6. you may also want to increase your purism skills although the later areas have a lot of clients objects. btw halloween event 2024 is coming in a few months, and its very likely a rem steeple alongside an intense and chal may exist. hope this helps, and nice video!
I’ve beaten a cata and it’s fun to see someone progress through jtoh as a new player. I really enjoy this series lol. some people have jtoh easier than others. some people like me jump from difficulty to difficulty but some people like most of my friends do 2-3 towers of a difficulty before moving on. others 100% the difficulty before moving on. I recommend doing obbies outside of jtoh to progress faster. but yeah I enjoy this series keep it up
8:18-16:12 I have to admit, yes, if you are not consistent at truss flicks at F8, it does really become annoying to do F6 again back to F8, and how the fact that CoGS is really loopfailable really makes players trying this citadel for the first time having a bad impression for CoGS. However, there’s those extended floors outside the main frame, and those floors have their own theme and environment, which makes this citadel’s creativity higher than other citadels. Just gotta make sure you practice a lot of those floors you think you are inconsistent of BEFORE YOU EVEN TRY TO ATTEMPT TO BEAT THIS CITADEL, or you are just gonna like Starism failing over and over again, or even leading to several hours of gameplay.
also ToIF made me wanna quit the entire game, as f8 took me 40 tries. not to mention how MENTAL it is to get a fluke from f6 to f9 and never get back to floor 9 for 2 weeks, TRUSSES :)
CoGS was pretty chill on my behalf. To be completely honest, I had the same problem on 6 and 8 too, but I got over it after leaving and doing other intenses as a break. (I ❤️ CoTaW) Back on floor 15 though, normally, inlet platforms are indicated as CCF blocks. But anyways, Uh teah that’s it lol. Don’t push yourself too hard on just one tower; take a break or what not, try chilling. Inlets are normally CCF, and, uh… *purism is normally the base of all towers,* so better get used to it chap!
Hey Starism, congrats on ToTJ! I really liked this video format, 50 mins felt like 20. I highly doubt you'll read this comment but I think you'd enjoy ToOOO in ring 7, it's an extremely fun and creative low intense tower mixed with purism and client objects.
Can’t wait for the coverage of Z8, there’s not a single tower I actually dislike there. also maybe some more Z6, ToHL and ToAF are really fun and need recognition
I would recommend upping your sensitivity a bit, because it seems like a lot of the wraps you do are completed with less camera control and more key control, which with more purist rems, require even hard wraps that just arent possible if you rely on keyboard control, I hadn't even known you played jtoh and found your channel through the classic event video you made and watching your jtoh videos is very entertaining, of course you dont have to listen to my yapping or tips, just throwing it out there if you want to try.
cols is 15 floors long; the reason there are 2 more floors though is because there is an optional secret ending that requires pressing multiple buttons throughout the citadel also i love watching beginners opinions on jtoh citadels as an experienced player
If purism is a weakness of yours you should definitely play some towers that use lots of purist gameplay. The harder towers down the line get increasingly more purist as you climb the difficulty chart. Same goes for truss flicks since they also become increasingly common in most towers that are rem+

Brother, ToTS is actually a really fun tower if you practice purism, and really get it down. I beat ToTS as my first remorseless, and I saw my increase in skill rapidly. I then beat ToN as my second remorseless before moving on to beat Tower of Thinning Layers, my first soul crushing.
I relate with the disconnecting problem. While I was climbing Tower of Funky Grooves, my wi-fi went braindead on me while I was in FLOOR 7!! Luckily I fluked it on my next attempt.
Here's some towers for continuation :) *Tower of Never Ending Dizziness (Ring 7)* ToNED is CO heavy and barely has any purist gameplay. It's also pretty short but if you are doing this, just so you know that Floors 2, and 6 will cause a bit of trouble for you. Also Floor 5 doesn't have any spinners :( (How dare they lie) *Tower of Beat Block Berserk (Ring 9)* I can understand that you might want to avoid Ring 9 (aka the SC ring) for a bit, but at least give ToBBB which has CO and purist combined smoothly. You might also consider increasing your consistency on beat blocks which this tower (you might be able to tell from the name of the tower) has a hell lot of :)

surprisingly, ToTC was actually pretty easy for my completion, and was actually my 2nd challenging, after ToS. its actually pretty good and easy for someone's first challenging, or just at least the first three or maybe five.

i think you should play tower of vacant hindereances next, its a beginner purist tower found in the "Pit of misery" subrealm which has other beginner towers, theyre good for getting used to purism

hey just saying, once you beat your first soul crushing (i recommend ToDC cus there are only a couple hard floors) you break a sort of barrier that makes it way easier to beat other insanes aswell
if you dont like purism i would heavily reccomend beating ring 9s' tower of high adrenaline as your first insane most of the gameplay is based around spinners and fast paced gameplay which makes it fun to play for long periods of time the tower also has a large safety net at floor 9 so if you make it through the last 2 outside floors (7 and 8) then youre guaranteed victory
do every silent abbys towers and steples, trust me you will see it Also you need to progress in Spacial System, you need to see those wild mechanics, and since you really like client objects i recomend later on do ToUI as a new hardest but beat atleast 10 rems before it, but oh boy even tho its one of my fav towers, the punishment is defenally something you should be aware off and also you should practise, the mechanics are so creative and unique but its a high rem so their pretty complex my top 5 towers btw 1st CoPE (zone 8) 2nd ToAI (silent abbys) 3rd ToUI (zone 7) 4th ToTD (silent abbys) 5th CoACT (zone 7) ToUI ans ToAI are co based CoPE ToTD and CoACT are a mix between purism and cos im a co player as well i love Cos
This game took many hours off my life, craziest ones were cols with 9 hours, tots with 11 hours, and thanos tower my hardest with 13.5 hours 14:04 i fell for that too and i literally died inside
Hey! If you wanna do more rem towers go and try Citadel of Pyramid Escapades & Tower of Overbearing Vertigo (If you have zone 8 unlocked) and if not try Tower of Forever Sleeping Flower or Tower of Never Ending Dizziness (Only do ToNED if you want to get better at spinner gameplay)
im not quite sure if star will read this but just in case.. if you're planning to do a soul crushing in the future, i would recommend Thanos Tower or Tower of Difficulty Chart as they are both very easy soul crushings. to practise these towers search up "jtoh practise place" and click on the one made by gammator (or use vm). please do a high rem or something first though its not worth jumping straight from a low rem to an sc. sc's arent optional so you dont have to do them but its just a suggestion if you want to go further into the deep end.
This is by far my favorite series on your channel, keep it up! I recommend checking out Flood Escape 2 if you want another difficult, fun platforming game :)

Fun fact: Despite CoTaW not allowing coils, other boosts items (such as the trampoline) are allowed, allowing a 17 minute win

hey just saying, once you beat your first soul crushing (i recommend ToDC cus there are only a couple hard floors) you break a sort of barrier that makes it way easier to beat other insanes aswell

congrats on beating your first rem! i'm tryna beat tobbb currently (it sucks)
if you dont like purism i would heavily reccomend beating ring 9s' tower of high adrenaline as your first insane
most of the gameplay is based around spinners and fast paced gameplay which makes it fun to play for long periods of time
the tower also has a large safety net at floor 9 so if you make it through the last 2 outside floors (7 and 8) then youre guaranteed victory
do every silent abbys towers and steples, trust me you will see it
Also you need to progress in Spacial System, you need to see those wild mechanics, and since you really like client objects i recomend later on do ToUI as a new hardest but beat atleast 10 rems before it, but oh boy even tho its one of my fav towers, the punishment is defenally something you should be aware off and also you should practise, the mechanics are so creative and unique but its a high rem so their pretty complex

I haven't beaten CoGS, I've played it for 9 hours
This game took many hours off my life, craziest ones were cols with 9 hours, tots with 11 hours, and thanos tower my hardest with 13.5 hours 14:04 i fell for that too and i literally died inside
Hey! If you wanna do more rem towers go and try Citadel of Pyramid Escapades & Tower of Overbearing Vertigo (If you have zone 8 unlocked) and if not try Tower of Forever Sleeping Flower or Tower of Never Ending Dizziness (Only do ToNED if you want to get better at spinner gameplay)

im not quite sure if star will read this but just in case..
if you're planning to do a soul crushing in the future, i would recommend Thanos Tower or Tower of Difficulty Chart as they are both very easy soul crushings.
to practise these towers search up "jtoh practise place" and click on the one made by gammator (or use vm).
please do a high rem or something first though its not worth jumping straight from a low rem to an sc.
sc's arent optional so you dont have to do them but its just a suggestion if you want to go further into the deep end.
he said his dream was to beat an SC so he is DEFINITELY planning to enter true hell (insane+ towers)
