    Your welcome for the suggestion. Italian wine does has a noticeable alcohol taste. You’re right that they are more of a food pairing wine than a drinking wine.

      Yeah, I tend to prefer super tuscans when's it comes to "solo drinkers" from Italy.

    Can i drink un opened banfi dated 2016 in 2022 . Cheers

      As long as it was stored well, then it should be fine. I've had wines from the 60s and 70s that still held up because they were cellared correctly.

    As far as the alcohol goes, would Decanting help?

      It could help it blow off. The way I do my reviews doesn't really allow for me to decant it longer than 30 min though. I try to mimic the average consumer, not a wine aficionado.

    Had this wine a few weeks ago , Meh , that's how I would rate it . Had it with pizza ,no help on that overly alcoholic taste . Great review !

      Thanks for letting us know that even a food pairing won't cut the alcohol on the palate.
