For sure somebody put a fly in the ointment yesterday. My guess is those managers that are available want a more solid deal, not a short term as you say.
Hi Stel. Greetings from a cloudy Tenerife (Only 24 degrees today) I called the non sacking of Lopetegui. I do not think O'Neill is better then we got nor will he come in now. We might as well buy Arne Slot now that he has had some EPL under his belt with a decent win record.
The current Mrs Clarke made a ‘common sense’ point about O’Neil, “if he’s failed at Wolves and they have a terrible defence, how’s he going to improve WH?” She’s not a football supporter, just had to put up with my mood swings under Moyes and now Lopetegui. But I agree here, we know Sullivan wants PL experience, but all the aforementioned candidates have “failed” at some point. A coach who has been successful overseas can repeat that success here, Arne Slot for example, others have brought in managers/coaches and shown their competence, fresh ideas are key if you have a squad, who on paper, are potentially better than others in the league. A short term coach isn’t the way forward, imo, if we are looking to get these disgruntled players back on song, if they believe he’s only here to the end of the season, and they want off anyway because they believe they have been sold a dud story to come here in the first place, what incentive do they have to play for the badge? I want someone who can bring some identity back, someone who’s able to look at the opposition and identify threats and who to use from this squad to our advantage. If there’s money available in January, working with Steidten, improve us, and if he believes our academy boys are able to step up, play them and don’t worry if they make a mistake which costs us, it’s a learning curve. Bring back a winning mentality with style, not be pressured into instant success leading to Europe again, that can be the goal for next season, get us safe and as high up as possible, but give us hope and belief, trust back in the process and desire to see the “project” kick start again. I don’t know who’s the solution, but I wouldn’t limit myself to someone with just PL experience.
Mrs Clarke has a valid point about O’Neill mate I tried to explain that by suggesting O’Neill would have more funds and perhaps a better squad at West Ham to allow him to do better But the point is this is simple West Ham want a manager / head coach but they’re not willing to buy one out of his contract That’s the bottom line So they make do for now limping from game to game Not a good look

Stelios, I'm being facetious here, but surely Tim Steidten should be our next coach seeing that he thinks he is the Hammers saviour with some of the players he purchased.
That's us jinxed now . We've a habit of letting in goals from corners and we know how good Dawson was when playing for us. He's got no fear putting his head in where it hurts.
All I want for Christmas is to start talking about football again and how our players form has improved. And a couple of clean sheets in my Christmas stocking would be nice Santa

How you keep so level-headed is a credit to you. WHU certainly put us through the wringer. Lopitegui should have been sacked already. All this shillyshallying is harmful to all concerned. I just can't see us attracting anyone really decent; especially not on a short-term contract. I like the idea of Ariola but why would he take a drop down the table? Stel how about this -we wait until Spurs ditch Ange and get him for next season ? Perhaps Nolan could be brought back to help him too.. Iraola would also be good option in the summer if available . Not sure about O’Neill but anyone is better than our current flop!
It will interesting to see what happens after Monday night...in my opinion the result doesn't change the fact that Lopetegui is a dead man walking now and has no future at the club
It's more to do with not finding a coach to take the role Stel! The fact that WH had been talking to others now makes JLo's position untenable. In fact, it is far worse now. And then there's Geo's report this morning that alleges that JLo has told Todibo that he will never play for WH again, when we've committed to spend 40 Million Euros in the summer. It's an absolute Dogs Breakfast.
I haven’t heard that Lopetegui has said that to Todibo My understanding is that Todibo has said if Lopetegui stays then he doesn’t want to stay Lopetegui is going to have to play him or we risk losing more games
Good bit of lateral thinking, Stel. O'Neil is at least approachable and likeable. The man knows how to do a press conference, at least. The man management and trust factors are vital for team morale. One of the things I've picked up on is how miserable and uncomfortable JL looks. Perhaps, the situation with Lopetegui's Old man has really affected his demeanor and he doesn't really want to talk to anyone outside his close circle.
Morning stel good vid mate just a thought but what the hell is going on lol it’s a circus and not a very good one either ! I’m with you I’m not a potter fan but who we get I have no clue but it probably will be him ⚒
Sullivan being the 'spiv' we all believe he is then it's no surprise the Lopp' is still there!.... and if we pick up 3 points against that 'small' club Wolves it'll be no surprise that there's no change of manager this side of Xmas!.....I fear that whoever is to take over will be there to 'satisfy 'Sullivan first and foremost ...and not necessarily the supporters!
Short sighted one dimensional thinking from the 'board'. False economy to employ a second rate manager that makes a multi million pound team look like a pound shop group of players. Lopetigui will lose the club more money than what he thinks he is saving by not sacking him.
If we are still looking for the ideal replacement then I understand why he’s been given another game But this insistence that West Ham will not try to buy out a contract of a manager / head coach that they like is ridiculous
These three Metrics stated for his job re success or failure 1/ Integration of 9 players purchased in the summer window just gone?So far only 3 of the 9 he has truly trusted Rodriguez (who wants away),AWB and Kilman, incidentally Loppys picks. The other 6 ,Summerville,Todibo,Soler,Guilherme,Fodderingham and Fullkrug have been either sparingly or sacrificial lambs to his failed project ,surely Stel he has failed that metric 2/ Better brand style of football,so far he has served up an incoherent mess,14 different formations and set of tactics and personnel, again a fail and dare I say it’s worse than Moyes 3/ Better or more consistent winning of games again an epic fail surely. Yet I’ve heard the the board have said he has so far achieved2 out of 3 really what are they seeing that I’m not seeing. Left field appointment or choice from me Is Michael Carrick for me?Another question to you mate why did we not go after the bloke that went to Chelsea ,Maresca ?Id say yes to Iraola ,in the summer just gone he was on a rolling year on year contract,so the board messed up because essentially he was out of contract?and could have got him in for free?
The metrics Lopetegui quoted were clutching at straws mate On the players integrating I agree it’s been hit and miss On the different style of football I agree he has brought in a new style but it’s not working so he has to change it On staying in the game - well some of the bad results tell us that this isn’t happening consistently either

Yep agreed mate
Short sighted one dimensional thinking from the 'board'. False economy to employ a second rate manager that makes a multi million pound team look like a pound shop group of players. Lopetigui will lose the club more money than what he thinks he is saving by not sacking him.
If we are still looking for the ideal replacement then I understand why he’s been given another game
But this insistence that West Ham will not try to buy out a contract of a manager / head coach that they like is ridiculous
These three Metrics stated for his job re success or failure
1/ Integration of 9 players purchased in the summer window just gone?So far only 3 of the 9 he has truly trusted Rodriguez (who wants away),AWB and Kilman, incidentally Loppys picks. The other 6 ,Summerville,Todibo,Soler,Guilherme,Fodderingham and Fullkrug have been either sparingly or sacrificial lambs to his failed project ,surely Stel he has failed that metric
2/ Better brand style of football,so far he has served up an incoherent mess,14 different formations and set of tactics and personnel, again a fail and dare I say it’s worse than Moyes
3/ Better or more consistent winning of games again an epic fail surely.
The metrics Lopetegui quoted were clutching at straws mate
On the players integrating I agree it’s been hit and miss
On the different style of football I agree he has brought in a new style but it’s not working so he has to change it
On staying in the game - well some of the bad results tell us that this isn’t happening consistently either
Hey Stel Your Right Apparently Potter Was Approached And A Contract Was Offered Until The Summer And Potter Turned Them Down As For Turdshit Excuse The Language Sky Germany Said Turdshit Won't Be West Hams Next Manager/Coach Sullivan Has To Put His Big Boy Pants On And Getting Us Marco Silva As For Bournemouths Manager He Needs A Couple More Seasons In The Premier League In My Opinion Im Not Sure If Garry O Neal Would Be A Good Idea. On A Side Note When You Go To The Game On Monday Got A New Chant For You And Your Pals David Sullivan Get Out Of Our Club Repeat 6 Times And The End You All Shout And Take That Brady With You
Cheers Jason
I’m not so sure about O’Neill either but he’d tick a lot of boxes
Typo in the thumbnail Stel.
Sorted .. thank you mate
