I like it! We needed a channel that messes with more poulans lol. I think I've got every saw in that series except the 3500. Never had that issue with the oiler can't imagine what it could possibly be.
Cant wait for this build. That digital angle thingy is such a great tool, the only potential bad thing could be that it is susceptible to trash on the workbench since it works with gravity but that might be negligible anyway. The balloon idea was so good and what a bummer that it didn't work. As we say here "chin up! toward new disappointments"
Just to mention you could correct the 10⁰ on intake by using chemical metal or jb weld a gasket will raise cylinder and change everything...be great to see a follow...
Something that may be faster curing than the JB Weld would be super glue and baking soda. It's super strong and still holds up to the fuel. With the tape in there it should work like the JB weld but be cured pretty much right away.
That JB weld I found takes 20 hours to cure. The tape I use on the intake port is 3m yellow tape. To remove the JB weld that sticks over intake port on the cylinder. Dull a chainsaw file with sandpaper and file the JB weld. When close use 220 sandpaper to smooth it so the piston moves freely.
That balloon method would work if you took a drink can and cut it to the size you need. Then inflate it till it's pressing the can piece firmly on the intake. Should form to the shape you need pretty well.
On the oiling issue, examine the case. Several times Ive had a poulan oil way too much and it ended up being a cracked case near the bar nut studs. Unless your witnessing it come directly from the oiler....... different issue at that point. Is the bore size different on the 60cc cylinders compared to the 54cc? Longer stroke same piston?? Im interested to see how that thing is gonna run. Thanks for doing these videos!
Yeah I don't believe that bible verse of nothing more can be new ! I'd have to argue that. There's endless new ideas to have yet come to be . You should patent that and call it " THE SHAVER SAVER" saves all from those with an itchy Dremel finger! But if you buy now you get not 1 but 2 free ,yes 2 free! You'd probably end up a billionaire like the person that invented the " pancake spatula" ! It's like damn it , why couldn't that have been my invention! Cause it's a really good one check it out ! Good video man I like what your do . Whats orange , starts with a cuss word ,and sounds like parrot? Agadamn carrot !

Had some great content put back before your trip👍 excited to see you run your new "German" toys and hear how you got them back home with you!
JB weld that intake back up and send it

I use wax paper an the piston or tape an the piston
Patients my friend.

Hate it when a perfect solution turns out to be not so perfect. We've all been there lol!

Always thinking👍🆙BigGuy
You ever watch "2strokestuffing"? He did his own cylinder plating, I feel like I saw him use balloons to separate bore from exterior
That guy does some serious shit
Jb weld to the rescue again.

54cc is 46.5mm bore 32mm stroke. 60cc is 49mm bore 32mm stroke.
Red is the 24hr formula, light orange is the 7ht formula. Reg vs Quick
