Matheus Richard just keep learning songs with styles that your into like this one and eventually the notes just come to you in a blend of everything you’ve ever played. 😁 it’s great. I’m part of the way there, but just a small fraction.
@@cristianperez770 3 month is nothing, it is a long process. But as any hobby - enjoy every note, melody, rythm, song you can play in this exact period of time. Don't tease yourself with the level you want to reach or songs you want to play, but can't now, you will do it :) It is just important to learn the right technique at the start (you can watch UA-cam videos to learn how to place your hand, fingers, etc. professionaly). And then you just slowly practise what you like and it will be done, just time and practise needed. Don't get frustrated, but enjoy every day and day by day you would play anything you would like to. It is truly an amazing and calming hobby, if you perceive it right :)
@@aristide4505 because most music is labeled as in major or minor, and you just add a 7 if you wanna be extra specific for jazz or blues. The 9 11 13 15 comes as additions to the 7 type of music... you get it?

Start by learning this solo. Use the playback speed to slow it as much as you need and play it exactly as you hear it. The backing chords are Em9, F#m7b5, B7b9 if you have a loop station, or you can play along with this backing track when you get it up to speed: ua-cam.com/video/5jC-hRtbzDQ/v-deo.html
this is very smooth! my background is acoustic fingerstyle and i really want to learn jazz - especially being able to do solos and licks like those without memorizing tabs and just pure improvization. anyone have tips on where and what i should start learning first?
Simple and brilliant, better than those guitarist that use effects ,reverb, analog delay, ect, because they can't play a clean sound voicing , he outplays them with this approach, great guitarist when I see one, not fake sound effects, great clean E7 jazz progression !!
I hope one day I'll play with this elegance

The main chord progression seems to be emin9, f#min7, f#min7b5, Cmaj7, bmin7, Amin7, f#min7, f#min7b5, repeat.
Sorry I don't really understand much about music theory. So why the vid title use the Em7 chord/key?
@@aristide4505 Because the first chord is an em9, which is just an extension of an em7.

@@yj8201 Exactly! It's kinda like if a song had an em chord in 2nd inversion for the first chord. We'd just simplify it and call it e minor.

what a great understanding of chord progression, it doesnt hurt playing on a custom either ;) nice job dude.
A custom what? What brand and model is it?
Son of Sound I’m not sure which model, but the brand is PRS. Paul Reed Smith guitars. You know it’s a PRS if the fret inlays are birds. Great guitars.
@@theabsolute23 thank u.
As a side note no need to go to a PRS custom to play well, a tone of good guitars out there... The important thing is the hands that hold it.
