Hey Meridian! This video was very encouraging; I'm also so passionate about the movie industry. I'm starting on college applications, drawing every day, learning Procreate dreams, managing a film club at school; it's a lot, but my passion for animation is bigger. I hope you continue to grow and inspire in the industry; God is always with you!
You forgot the part of how we can support your studiooooo ❤
You are strong. You are beautiful. The negativity is coming from the industry. Don't entertain the put downs in your mind. They're all lies. Truth is, you're awesome.❤
Just the fact that you're taking the risk of starting up a studio at a young age is already so admirable. Wait a go Meridian!🌟
For what my word's worth as a subscriber, don't be so hard on yourself when you face challenges along the way. Seems like an exciting opportunity to learn and grow from!
This is the second video by you I've watched and as a person who has been in the industry for 20 years, I was shocked when you said you have only been in it for 3! The other video I watched was the one about surviving unemployment. I really liked your idea about the unemployment journal and I'm just about to start one as I'm freshly unemployed for about a month now. Good luck with your studio and your projects! I know it's going to be great.
Not gonna right a whole essay about my support as it’s 2 AM where I live. But break a leg. Keep doing good work. I look forward to seeing where this goes.
Hi Meridian, I have followed your videos and was delighted you created a studio and were directing along with your other talents as a terrific board artist. However, whatever has motivated you to go home, I respect - this can be a difficult town and our industry has undergone enormous changes, to say the least. I started my career at 23 (I'm 5 decades older now) having been a 2-D animator, story artist and director on feature films that has taken me from the highest highs to some soul-shattering lows.
You have wonderful talent, intelligence and vulnerability - along with your strength. I hope you continue with your passions and find those allies, projects new avenues that can restore you and the creative gifts you can share - we need that! You're at the beginning of your journey and you will be amazed how life can change (in positive ways) if you stay the course with what you love, however you get there! My best wishes to you.
I was just watching your other video about being out of work...and i was wondering "why not just make your own work? Stop asking for permission and find clients".... and then saw this video haha. Glad you are making the move and just getting it done.
I love this - I'm doing the same thing. Wonderful... I fully believe the entire industry is going to be dominated by micro studios, as technology improves, becomes more affordable and large studios become larger. Shareholders and corporate responsibilities are influencing the art far too much. Good for you! Green Ghost supports you - we should talk:)
So encouraging
So inspiring! Glad to see a generation of artists who care about the wellbeing of the workers and artistic integrity. Hope to be like you someday!
Go for it! I've just graduated and this is inspiring
Go for it!!! Just found this channel, great stuff! Inspiring to see you going for it! Only good things can come from taking this path
You are the only person I know who is speaking up. Thank you so much to be concerned about the future of the industry and the job hunting process for people who really desire to work inside the animation industry!
I am so excited for you! ^_^ You are already way ahead of the game by taking this leap, I look forward to seeing your journey along the way ♥
Hey would you speak about taking PA positions as a way to break in- pro/ con -and I’d like to see outdoor Burbank video of the studios one should know about
So awesome and inspiring to see you doing this. Totally got me teared up. Thank you for being vulnerable.
You’re being the change you wanna see in the world.
I think there’s never a point where you feel completely ready-but I commend you for making that leap. I’m a decade into this industry and I hope some day I can have that same bravery.
Excited for you and really inspiring for young artists. God bless you on this new journey ❤
Hey. You are doing wonderful work. We are all facing challenges but it's best to continue our work and inspire others to work on the right path.
Congrats on this next step in your career! It's amazing to see how far you've come.
Great speech, it’s truly inspiring to see people stand on their values! I am curious about if you’re hiring animators currently?
