An important thing to note is this is based off what aired in Japan, its why theres so many references to the Japanese continuity stuff, like Transformers Go!. It's why theres no rescue bots. If you also noticed, during the crowd shots of all the autobot and decepticon leaders, theres only one iteration of each character from its respective universe EXCEPT armada and cybertron, that being because in Japan they are entirely separate.
True. You also forgot to mention the more important one, which is G1 Convoy/Prime and God Ginrai, who are seen as two separate characters in Japan, but as the same character (Optimus Prime and Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex armor) in the U.S.
@@FallenGemini haha sorry, I didn’t forget, I just genuinely forgot powermaster prime exists since I always think of Ginrai, and forget that he isn’t as well known as I think he is.

Something easy to miss for those not into Japanese mecha series is this animation pays respect to other Mecha series. An example of Gundam would be the scene where Optimus is firing beams at 1:27 is copying various shot of Gundams firing their guns, w/ the last two shots being directly taken from the Strike Freedom Gundam's poses.

When it comes to anime studios, or just animation studios in general, there's a reason why people are so smitten with Studio Trigger in particular. They clearly care a lot about everything they create, be it shows, movies or even promotional videos like this one. Even though they first gained popularity from making original works like Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia, they also put their skill and passion on display with projects based on existing properties, as shown with the Cyberpunk:Edgerunners anime, and this Transformers tribute. Their recent anime adaptation of the Delicious in Dungeon manga is also just wonderful, perfectly capturing its appeal while injecting it with their own particular style and flair. Also, the band in this Transformers video, Bump of Chicken, also did the song for the amazing Pokemon Gotcha! animated music video, not to mention the first intro song for the Delicious in Dungeon anime, plus several other anime intros and outros. It's just a shame the writer's strike ruined ROTF's script and it started the downfall of the film series. One more thing, it's so awesome seeing Bayverse Megatron in anime form and they gave him a cool scene too. I whole-heartedly think we need a tf legacy like anime i know they planned a show for the tf legacy toyline with netflix that never came to be because netflix backed out or something but they should do an anime based on this tribute video
I think this tribute might be a step in the right direction. Hopefully Hasbro is paying attention and listening to what the fans are saying.
I enjoyed the video. Similarly, I would be thrilled to see a Transformers anime produced by Studio TRIGGER.
My minor critique of the video is its exclusion of Optimus from the Skybound comic. Although I understand the focus was on the animated series and movies, the idea of seeing Optimus with Megatron's arm in animation would have been incredible.
I would love to see a transformers anime
Have you watched any of the current ones available? The Unicron Trilogy is amazing!
If they create a series of That? The base Story must be G1 still. And the Title THE TRANSFORMERS MULTIVERSE. How exciting it will be.A Love Letter for the Fans
Till all are one
I love it transformers happy good show 💯🌟🌟🌟🌟🫡🇺🇲🎆
Yes! A proper ANIMATED series. No CG.
2:19 Optimal Situation
2:25 Master Blaster
2:42 - not gonna lie. This scene would work so well for a reboot/tie in of M.A.S.K -
Rhino - Optimus Prime
Firecracker - Ironhide
Raven - Bumblebee
Would need to change a few alt modes for the others -
Tow truck - Wildcat - Ratchet
Porche (doesn't have to be the same 928) - Shark - Jazz
Motorcycle - Bullet - Arcee
European Lorry/Armored Half track - Bulldog - Warpath
Jeep CJ7 Renegade - Gator - Hound
Customized van with raised wheel base - Volcano - Mirage
Chevy Camaro - Thunderhawk - Wheeljack
(AI generated 2024 Ford Thunderbird) - Razorback - Prowl
Not that I've been thinking about it much or anything 🤣
Don't get me wrong, I prefer Optimus as an OG European Lorry over the American big rig but this just works rofl.
...no G1 Galvatron though
This shit got me in the heart stringd
They knew EXACTLY what they were doing!
Transformers Armada
Transformers Energon
Transformers Cybertron
Why not, why not have more anime style transformers let give them another chance, and this make me feel hella old
You and me both 😅
You can tell DerekUpNorth isn't familiar with any of the Japanese Transformers/Beast Wars anime series
outside of RID 2001/Car Robots.
I’ve only seen very few episode of Headmasters and Beast Wars II. But ive seen nearly all of the UNICRON Trilogy. Definitely going to be watching a lot of Transformers in the near future 😅
It does suck that no Rescue Bots
Beautiful.
Sick!
Hey DerekUPNorth how is your Stupendous Saturday?
It was superb!
Studio trigger is making an full anime of transformers
I’m here for it!
I really hope it's based on what we saw here, just a massive crossover across the entire multiverse.
Not really, they just made this promo for the anniversary
@@Super-7327 Well damn. Still, at least now we know it's possible to have Trigger work on Transformers stuff, so a full series is no longer an "it'll never happen", just an "it could maybe happen someday".
The only thing that seemed to be missing and shouldn't be was GOBOTS!
there is no Disappointed of Hasbro. They love it of tribute of Transformers 40 anniversary or EN and JP. Started of Transformers G1 to Adaptation from JP in the 80s anime is started from Toei Animation title is Transformers Headmaster G1 is a Sequel adaptation. 40 after more that love Transformers bout Hasbro and Takara Tomy are successful branch toys figured anime and Live Action movie from Michael Bay.
anime makes everything look better
I love a good anime!
Even if the original song is cool, I watched another video with the song of the 80s movie, it geve a different vibe 🤖💟
just no rescue bots because it never aired in japan
They're too busy...rescuing...
What Do you think of Catwoman (DC)?
I recomend the pilot Transformers Combaticons 👀
Transformers Multiverse Anime Or Cartoon Show Anybody ?
I'd be down!
