Hello from Missouri Kyle! I'm a retired pilot, I know absolutely nothing about auto body or custom car builing. I do know that I love your videos and your awesome sence of humor. I am certain there are many others just like me that simply enjoy the entertainment! Thanks for taking the time!
You can always build small scale vehicles. Like I want to build a small peddle car. I have the wagon wheels and metal to weld up a chassis. Not sure if I want to make it a push or pull kart

My favorite car project on youtube in a long time, you have a great eye for proportions and being able to see the bigger picture, I know it's going to turn out awesome.
When you were cutting the louvers I was thinking they should have been saved. I had to laugh when you explained why. By the way, I mixed "Product" on cardboard for 40 years.

Well I have a “so called higher education “ but I have to tell you I can’t do what you do and I am a great admirer of your work. Because I know it’s not easy and it needs a lot of skill’s and you make it look easy!

I have alot of respect for you. You are a.master of metal fabrication and figuring out the shapes you need. I know you ignore the ignorant rants from the idiots in the peanut gallery. I enjoy the humor you inject at those negative morons. Keep it going just like you have been.
My good man; the shape you have applied to your door gap that allows it to open is called the Fibonacci sequence…you are a genius. Who needs post secondary education when you just eyeballed a numerical sequence that describes everything from the formation of the universe to the patterns of the seeds in a sunflower. This is also known as the “Golden Ratio” I’m aghast. Nice work.

The definition of intelligentsia, educated beyond your capacity to comprehend. Kyle, you do good work! Just remember there’s no mistakes on a custom project, they are design elements!
I think everything you're doing here is respectable to the metal and the mfgs you're working it from. Would they rather see their work rust away to the ages because most of the truck is too far gone? Or would they rather see someone turn it into a functional and esthetically pleasing vehicle that comes from the same heart they had? I think this is perfect! ...and I'm still in awe watching you manipulate old iron into perfection.
Great job as usual Kyle! "🤜😵💫 get away from my car" 🤣😂🤣 By the way I missed the calisthenics for the week! How am I ever going to get in shape sitting in this chair with out them!? 😂
Collecting and studying all those vintage hot rod publications is paying off in huge dividends. It shows in your work. Thank you Sir for sharing this with us.
I guess any of those commenters claiming the doors won't work have never seen a car from 1938 through 1950 when pretty much EVERY car door looked like that and yet through brute force and ignorance.... still managed to open. Or, maybe car doors didn't open for a decade plus..... I don't know.... That looks great!! I love it. The waterfall nose, those extended fenders.... the caddy fins.... I love the whole thing.
I think you are right about cars from 1938-1950 not having opening doors. Cars of that era were most likely for static display only. I don't see how anyone could ever drive a car with impossible door geometry, points ignition, carburetors and drum brakes haha.
Some people just suck and don't understand you share your journey and really who cares what they think .I myself see great workmanship and the ability to make new ideas happen in real time. Good job Kyle keep doing you .
There's some lovely serendipity in that the shape of your door cutout happens to be exactly the right kind of shape to go with all the soft corners on the rest of the truck.
Your doing a fantastic job on building your door opening. It's your truck and you can do what you please with it. You are a get metal worker and I love watching your work. Keep up the great job
Kyle, if you had a Master's Degree in Auto body design, you would have had something to mix the product on instead of cardboard. The glass on the certificate frame.
Wow! great job on getting the door to work with the fade away fender. I was wondering how you would handle it and you amazed me once again with your skills. I am really looking forward to the completion of this fantastic custom. I just love the way it is turning out.
That is fantastic, mate! What a fantastic look and such a logical way of taking care of a problem with the door opening. Might have taken a fair bit of extra time to sort out, but the result speaks for itself and is so much simpler in the long run. Love the profile template trick too, so will look up that channel you mentioned and add it to my watchlist. That project is going to come along so quick once the logistics of building the styling panels have been sorted. This is fascinating stuff as I would not have had any clue whatsoever in regard to how to even start making them! Even with the partial recreation using the old door panel just suddenly brought the whole finished truck to life in a new way for me, so to see it doing what it is meant to do when things open and close is just fantastic! (Apologies for the necessarily censored segments of this comment. It's what happens when I don't spend time editing my comments as I go and just type them live straight into the comment section 😂)
