Hi Bruce, congratulations on your Scania 144-530. I have had several of them when they were new, the one you have there is the first model 144, you can see it on the front grill, it is not the same as the red one you have, it is with it (new muzzle), in a Scania 530 V8 you don't have to use all the gears, empty tractor you can start in 1 high and high split and switch to 3 high low split and then in high split, then you will find that it starts howling and out of the exhaust pipe, when you skid gear, when you can make it howl when you change gear you can drive Scania 530 V8, you can try searching here for Scania 144 530 v8 straight tube, then you will see and hear how a 530er should sound when can drive in them. you can check the serial style number on the left door, it's the long number you need to look at, it should say 530 or 460 in the middle of the number, you can see how many horses it has 530 hp or 460 if it's a 460 hp it doesn't howl when you change gear as it runs with a different turbo. so good luck with it and see if you can get it to howl when you shift gears.👍
@user-yi9fx4ke6r if im not mistaken (atleast with older cars) americans measure the horsepower differently so thats why the numbers seem wrong to you. Dont mock me as I'm no expert please but my old beamer showed 125 US and 95 here in Europe.
@@jourdanwong3071 exactly 👍. Couple weeks ago I drove from Sweden to Dubai with a trailer full of sand. Friend reply: I drove from Katmandu to Sao Paolo without sleeping. And yes, we call this kind of bragging for "dick measuring contest".
I was surprised by what I read, in Russia a Scania is called a bench, firstly because these two words in Russian are consonant with each other, and secondly because the front step can be used as a bench as you described.
I think that "we Europeans" just watch your channel because of your enthusiasm for SCANIA trucks. I just love that you appreciate the engineering of these trucks that much and I just love your SCANIA content - always looking forward to seeing new videos. Best greeting from Austria!
Aber sind wir mal ehrlich, so eine Old School Lackierung wie die das in Holland meistens haben würde das nochmal verbessern obwohls schon extrem spannend ist so
usually the head gasket isn't leaking, its the cylinder sleeve's upper o ring, or the cylinders wall has started to deteriorate so maybe it need's to be bored to an upper size. Yes you can bore just one cylinder and get the bigger size sleeve. same size piston so the piston doesen't need to be replaced if there isn't anything wrong with it. with best regards an Scania mechanic in Finland
Came to the comments to say the exact same thing. Learnt the hard way that it’s not the head gasket that leaks but the liner top o ring. Usually have to recut for the over size liner as well
Hey .... I'm a European trucker .... at 16:00 it is a step, for de-icing the windscreen in winter .... we also use it as a bench (when the weather is fine) when we have to wait, or have our lunch on .... in the evening at the parking, we also drink our beer there
A tip from me a former Scania mechanic. You can fill the oil much faster before mounting the oil centrifuge. Fill the oil where you put the insert. Henrik From Sweden:)
The night cab heater is likely to be one of the Webasto units, and there should be a control panel for it in the cab ( usually near or close to the bed compartment) usually a digital control panel, where you can set the heat/time etc, they run on the diesel from the main tank, and are pretty darn good when they work as they should, they still fit those units to modern day trucks and motorhomes, so finding spares for repairs shouldn't be an issue, trust me, they keep the cab toasty of a cold and frosty night.
if it is an Scania original heater it will be a Eberspächer Hydronic M10. the main problem with that heater is that the exhaust fan stops working and the heater ecu is on top of that fan and it will burn the ecu of the heater
@@sannmarcI think a lot of people are worried because they are cheap and Chinese but you are right they're actually not bad. Certainly really good for the price.👍
Going to Finland in December and he lives in Florida? It's going to be cold and dark. Don't think he's ever experienced what's about to hit him. Good luck. Hopefully it'll be a fun trip and you can get parts. Yea, in Europe idling for long periods of time is banned in many places so the trucks usually have a separate heater.
Scania was on the US market years ago but as that the trucking companies want to have a say in what brand engine and transmission should be fitted and loads more, Scania didn't sell much. They just said this is it and that's it. No different brands of engine or transmission in our truck.
In theory, they are back at the us market again. Their owner, VAG, that also own International got the Scania driveline in them. ( A 13 litre straight six and the gearbox.) But yes, it’s kind of sad that you don’t have them on your roads.... Espesially the v8’s.
Pro tip from a marine engineer, get some copper pipes and press them flat and use them to scratch the soot build up loose from the inside the sentrifuge purifier. The copper tools will not scratch the sentrifuge like other steel or carbide tools will and you do not want scratchers inside the purifier cause that will make the soot stick Harder to the inside and make it more dificult over time to clean. Also u can use a special kind of paper inside these purifiers that the soot will stick to instead of having it stick to the purifier casing👍🏼
you should also come to Finland in August when Power Truck Show takes place. It's a very large event with up to 30 000 people visiting during the weekend and trucks from all over the Europe
Check the cab level sensor on the front under the drivers side next to the night heater, looks like the front bags are deflated and sitting too low. If its knocking when there inflated cab bushes are shot.
A neat feature of the Scania you have, (i am an old Scania/Volvo/MAN driver from Denmark/Norway), is that when you get in you can leave your shoes on the steps, and when you close the door the way the door is made your shoes are secure on the steps. Like leaving your shoes on the porch when you walk into your house. I saw a guy who had run his AC/heater vent down there so you could have nice warm/dry shoes to step into when you get out of your truck to do loading whatever. A "fun" detail here is that the MAN trucks don't cover the bottom step, so if you are used to driving Scania and swap to a MAN you loose the shoe on the bottom step.....
I would caution against the frame and rear end changes you have suggested, and for reasons you have already mentioned. That is that every aspect of that truck has been engineered and calibrated to work as a complete system. That includes the frame size, length, strength ect..... To mess with that might take away some of what it is to be driving a euro truck.
Hello Bruce. That rig looks to be in good shape. Hvile youre over in finland, get a hold of a narrow type tag axle. That you can mount twin wheels on. It looks much better. You colud order them both ways when tey were new.
@@JaakkoIsWatchingit's not so routine on some euro stuff, doing chassis extensions on dafs in the late 90s still needed diagnostics computer because extending the wires to the rear lights caused fault codes.... And hundreds of other fun little electronic gems. The chassis on that truck has already been modified once but the way Bruce is talking about modifying it will be a technical nightmare and the end result will most likely just be a pile of parts.
That truck is like a Swiss Army Knife. With little surprises tucked into the nooks.. They really utilize a lot of the wasted spaces. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your videos very much.
Both tanks around 400 gallons which is around 1514 i Liters. This 1997 is amazing but you have to see and drive the last generation with some additions from 2022. The little heater at front right could be the Webasto type.
Hi Bruce, there's a place here in New Jersey that sells parts for Scania and rebuilds them also the name of the shop is Abrue Truck Repair in Newark NJ.
Hi Bruce, I can't wait to see your face on your video when you get to Finland and see a load more of the European Scania,s you should be able to see some real monster versions over there ! keep up the brilliant videos, regards Chris
I really wish he gets to experience something like the next gen Scania 770S Super etc to see how long they have come since the 90s. Those are some pretty nice trucks.

I have loved trucks my whole life, particularly American and UK trucks. So very happy to find your channel. You have a great father for supporting your work.
Bruce as a European truck driver, can I give you a tip? When you leave you can safely leave from gear 2, we rarely use the first gear as European drivers or when we are heavily loaded , you can also go from 1 directly to gear 3. 😉
We have Scanias here in Australia and they're widely used here. We even have Scania buses/coaches. If Scanias can handle the Australian conditions, they'd do well there in the States.
Ooo yes , this was big suprise for me 2016 when i was i Perth last time .... Before in 2002 i not see Scania on road it was all about Kenworth Mack and Volvo and i see few Iveco trucks BUT in 2016 it was large number of V8 Scanias on road , in my eyes more then Mack trucks
@@DraganUgrenovicdepends where you are too. In Melbourne there's many V8s but Scania formed a Scania owned dealer network in 2008 and it's picked up from there really.

Hey Bruce, I lived in Germany for 30 years, I drove the Mercedes Astros and Scania while there. I agree that these trucks should be allowed into the states. Awesome trucks.
8:16, BLUE, Pointing to RED. So it started out Blue, then painted Red, before shipping to Canada. Denboer Farm owner painted it White and Now Bruce Wilson owns it 25yrs later, shipping into its 3rd Country, unless who knows how many Countries it drove through, while in Europe.
Hi Bruce, greetings from Argentina!!. Congratulations for your Scania, i hope that in your travel to Finland you can see trucks from others brands from Europe, like IVECOs, MAN, Mercedes, Volvo, DAF. You are going to be crazy there. Saludos!!!
It's fun to watch Bruce's empirical Scania studies. When he finally found the cabin tilt bar and the step in the grill. The bar is there so that you remember to open the grill and corner pieces before tilting the cabin. All so usual for us, but new for Bruce.
Hi Bruce, Congrats on another SCANIA, love the Scanias. Back in Brazil due to some regulations like in Europe after 2000 all trucks are cabovers', Scanias, Volvos, Iveco etc. Not a big deal but shops used to strap the cab to the frame after jacking it in case it flips foward also using a long 4x2 or someting to hold it in place in case the original piston goes back while doing maintence on engine. Im not a technician of any kind but had a buddy that was at a truck shop. Good luck with the truck, great content as always.
Hi Bruce The leaver on the dash next to the speedo on the right (looks the same as the handbrake)that should be the gearbox retarder and has 3 or 4 settings its similar to a jake but uses the gearbox and on some models of Scania the exhaust brake too, good for hills and roundabouts traffic.enjoy
Hi Bruce! if you’re coming over to Europe, firstly - take back a set of Alcoa Durabrite wheels. Secondly here in England we can pull 97,000lbs with a tri axle scania - in Scandinavia I believe they can go much heavier - check the plate Inside the door frame for it and it’ll give you a safety related capacity (check all of them). Also I’d well recommend going to Holland and checking out some of the Fashiom styling for trucks - they have some great truck upholsterers and accessory shops there. Also why are you going to Finland exactly when scania are made in Sweden? Lovely to hear you’re enjoying the might V8 though
Just love the channel. So nice to see SCANIA entusiasts like Bruce and friends in the US. I drive a SCANIA truck for a living in Northern Sweden. Been runnin' for 29 years now. That beeing said; i have had time to learn how SCANIA trucks works for a long time. Bruce is still figurering things out about theese beasts. (And i must say: Doing this very well.) Everytime he hits a snug: I just wanna jump into the screen and help him out! The three position boogie lift button is: UP and DOWN (obvious). The middle position is DRIVE/RIDE -mode; when pulling heavy cargo. It distributes the air evenly to both rear axels. (It plants both feet at the back so to speak.) Theres also a extra button for manually distributing air to the drive axel. To get more grip/traction on slippery or muddy roads. Can't wait to see Bruce visiting Finland. He'll for sure get some really solid knowledge on SCANIAS there. And hopefully he'll also get to test drive some really cool SCANIAS in Finland. -SAUNA and SCANIA = Hair on chest!
Hi, great videos. Just a quick note I had an friend here in Maine with a small fleet of Scania tractors hauling logs out of the woods here. Had very good luck with them until he retired. They seemed to be very reliable and were easy on fuel. Good luck.
In Scanias product naming line up the first two numbers are the engine size the third one is its build series number like (mk 1 or mk 2 etc), e.g a 92 is a (nine litre 2 series), 93 a (nine litre 3 series), 112 - (eleven litre 2 series), 113 (11 litre 3 series) the biggest motors are the 14 litre and the sixteen litre V8's (143 - 14 litre 3 series) 164 (16 litre 4 series) etc
the red scania you had the photo of was a 164/580,which ran from late 2001 to 2005,your truck is a 144,either a 460 or 530hp,which ran from 1997 to 2001,your truck also has the early type top grille with the exposed radiator cap..
Bruce, one of the new Scania ones, which are called: super, with 560hp and more torque than a Cat or an X15 with 40 tons gets you more than 11 mpg, those trucks are insane. In Mexico I have the new generation, but with the 620hp V8, listen to me, it's a crazy truck, I'm humiliating everyone on the road
@@Xv1p3rCr0 In my case I am from Mexico City, but it doesn't matter that they are all over Mexico, it would be a very good idea to buy a Scania in Mexico and take it to the United States. Yes, many American trucks are already made in Mexico.
First truckdrining job was in a -97 Scania 114. I come to love the dashboard of that generation, not for its beauty, but for its functionality. Easy to overview, easy to maintain (first action was to buy two boxes of bulbs, so I could see the knobs in darkness...). I've got so stuck in to Scania, that I bought a P280 retired garabage truck. It will become something else in the future...
Hey man! Getting stressed out about your shifting 😅 you don´t have to start on C all the time, that´s only for when you pull heavy loads, or start in a steep hill or stuff like that. Now, when your split is functional, start on 1H, skip to 3L and then go to 4 L/H and then up. Or, you can start on 2L and jump to 4L if you want to rev it a bit more on the low gears. And, you don´t need to slip the clutch when starting, just release the clutch slowly and let the tourqe do the job. And also, go slow when shifting. Wait 1 sec in neutral between the gears and you won´t bust those sync.rings. Optimal shifting range is about 1400-1700rpm. Keep up the good work! looking forward to see what you get up to with that old bad boy!
In the UK the fire trucks are also often Scania, and they love the front step too, as the crews can sit on it. It is so handy they now stipulate that any new manufacturers tendering for new contracts needs to provide a similar seating.
Yes, that is a step for cleaning the windshield. Nicest trucks & tractors I've ever driven, especially with the opticruise. The Swedish got these things right!
So much fun being a swedish truck driver seeing this. I have been driving scania for 20 years, hauling logs as you say. This scania trucka are without a doubt the most amazing trucks to drive. Good luck on youre journey😊
But if he finds a contact with the epa and one with scania and becomes the middle man they can work on making a percentage of them legal to come into the us it just takes alot of leg work
Scania is already a sister company to International trucks...being owned by traton group (volkswagen) ....so they will come to US in near future i believe
You want to keep or return the under hood appearance of it, I would suggest you get a product called Gibbs. You spray everything under the cab, preferably while the engine is running and you soak it down and you let it sit a couple of days and you spray it off. The accoutrements will look considerably better. Salt also will not cut through gibbs, but Gibbs cannot cut salt so you have to make sure everything is clean before you apply it. You can apply it to every square inch of the framework. Will soak into a millionth of an inch. And you can also wipe it with a rag and spray paint over it and the paint will stick. But I once owned a Dodge Caravan and I sold it with 254000 Mi on it and I would do that once a year just to treat the engine. Before I sold it I sprayed it off it looked like the vehicle was less than a week old under the hood. And I bought it with 46,000 Mi on it. It is a great tool for keeping the vehicle looking nice especially in those nether regions underneath it and under the hood. It also keeps all of the rubber from deteriorating quite a bit. On my caravan, my son had borrowed it to go to school in texas, and he changed the original plug wires at 241 thousand miles, along with the original radiator hoses because he had to replace the radiator. Now it could have been that it was originally an FBI package vehicle. It was a vehicle that was specifically made for the federal Marshal Service the DEA and the FBI in 1998. The first 200 of them made in the 1998 model year. It even had a custom paint color on it that only was on Chrysler products, not dodges. But it also allowed me to know when I was near any federal agents for several years. I also was able to get quite decent fuel mileage out of it I was able to get about 31 1/2 Mi to gallon out of it and it would run along at 130 mph all day long comfortable as could be and that wasn't topped out and still getting 20 miles a gallon. That was on a trip back up in 2003 from my mother's funeral in South Carolina back up to the Detroit area. I went through West Virginia at an average speed of 118 mph. I did slow down when I got into Ohio though. Another thing you can do, is any rubber that you add to the truck or even some of it is still on the truck that looks serviceable, clean it up and spray it down fairly wet with 303 protectant and let it soak for about 12 hours. Put it on all of the Rubber products even the serpentine belts, you can even put it on the Treads of the tires about every 3 to 4 months, and get twice to as much as three times the mileage out of the tires. It's one of the best products you can buy off the shelf bar none. You might want to even get a couple of gallons of it and put it in a spray bottle.
Fun fact, the case 4994 also came with a scania V8. Those auto greasers are a double edge sword. Really convenient but you also don't have that visual of all your grease points like you normally would
Hey Bruce, you are going to LOVE Finland. Mostly because of the people. Generally they're pretty quiet (and I'm a Brit saying this!) And very respectful. Also very aware of taking care of the environment. Very clean cities. Most importantly they're friendly and welcoming and you'll call in love with them.Soldier
Imo you should keep the length of this chassis because it's easy to take corners as you did in @30:00. Maybe make the single lift into a double lift axle. That is doable to make.
Hey Bruce after you stretch the wheelbase;take it to Green APU to get a Green APU installed and then edit and post a video of the whole process with a title that reads: First European truck in North America to have a Green APU installed.
I know it's been writen before, but there's no need to use the crawl gear. Just start it on 2nd and you'll be good. I hauled the Tiger Tank in the Swedish army with Scania T530 with a total weight of 100 tons, not even then we used the crawl gear 😊

Crazy that you're going to Finland Bruce... Growing up in Finland I never thought Scania's were that cool. The grass is always greener you know. The EU truckers wanna drive Peterbilts... Anyway, after 15 years in the US I find it super cool that you're gonna visit Finland and that you're bridging the gap between US and EU trucks. You should also go visit VAK in Finland to see how Finnish/EU trailers are made. And maybe head to Sweden to Södertälje to visit the Scania factory? Anyway.. I'm sure it won't be your last time over there :)
The gray Deutsch plug at 22:33 for the aircon should have a neoprene gasket and an insert to lock the contacts in place. I'm guessing moisture got in at some point and caused problems, quite common for Deutsch connectors.
Welcome to Finland, hope you'll have a nice trip! It's a bit dark this time of year, but luckily there's snow now. That lightens up surroundings quite a bit.

The motor seems to be designed very similar to marine diesel motors that are very modular and be disassembled in individual pieces whereas others are all 1 piece

Wel wen I drove my 124-340 I started 2low loaded, empty I even started 3h or 4l😂
It says 580 on it when he showed the truck when it was red before Raymond had it

@user-yi9fx4ke6r if im not mistaken (atleast with older cars) americans measure the horsepower differently so thats why the numbers seem wrong to you. Dont mock me as I'm no expert please but my old beamer showed 125 US and 95 here in Europe.
When I drove my Scania L81 home I lost the muffler and it howled, I promise! It was embarrasing to drive with it in the middle of the night.
In Sweden we call the step in the front "liars bench". Drivers sit on it and lie about their adventures 😂
@@jourdanwong3071 exactly 👍. Couple weeks ago I drove from Sweden to Dubai with a trailer full of sand. Friend reply: I drove from Katmandu to Sao Paolo without sleeping.

You guys aren’t sitting on the bench while replying are you 😂 👍
I was surprised by what I read, in Russia a Scania is called a bench, firstly because these two words in Russian are consonant with each other, and secondly because the front step can be used as a bench as you described.

usually the head gasket isn't leaking, its the cylinder sleeve's upper o ring, or the cylinders wall has started to deteriorate so maybe it need's to be bored to an upper size. Yes you can bore just one cylinder and get the bigger size sleeve. same size piston so the piston doesen't need to be replaced if there isn't anything wrong with it. with best regards an Scania mechanic in Finland
I just commented the same a few minutes ago. Regards, former scania mechanic from finland 😅

Came to the comments to say the exact same thing. Learnt the hard way that it’s not the head gasket that leaks but the liner top o ring. Usually have to recut for the over size liner as well

You can fill the oil much faster before mounting the oil centrifuge. Fill the oil where you put the insert.
Henrik From Sweden:)
You really should head over to Södertälje Sweden where the Scania main factory and headquarters are located.

Yea, in Europe idling for long periods of time is banned in many places so the trucks usually have a separate heater.
I would personally love to see Scania enter the US market, they’re so well engineered and well built.
Scania was on the US market years ago but as that the trucking companies want to have a say in what brand engine and transmission should be fitted and loads more, Scania didn't sell much. They just said this is it and that's it. No different brands of engine or transmission in our truck.
They failed on US market back in the 80's.

How can you go from a Scania to a MAN? Sacrilege 😂
Anyone else looking forward to seeing his reaction to finland in December? 😂
Especially when he comes from Florida definitely needs warm clothes
I would caution against the frame and rear end changes you have suggested, and for reasons you have already mentioned. That is that every aspect of that truck has been engineered and calibrated to work as a complete system. That includes the frame size, length, strength ect..... To mess with that might take away some of what it is to be driving a euro truck.
Well said! Thank u!
Frame extension is a routine job. Just need to follow instructions and use Scania frame parts, which apparently he will get from Finland.

The three position boogie lift button is: UP and DOWN (obvious). The middle position is DRIVE/RIDE -mode; when pulling heavy cargo. It distributes the air evenly to both rear axels.

@@Xv1p3rCr0 true but don’t think they get the big tractor units like for example the DAF XF or XG+. But I have noticed the new peterbilt and Kenworths share electrical components and trim styling as the DAF paccar sharing parts bins and stylists is evident
You should also go to sweden to the factory and scania museum when you visit finland. Is is not that far away 👍
Thanks Bruce for the video. I'm glad you like European trucks, it's good to change and compare from both perspectives, especially for me and being European I like American trucks. The scanias here are already 770 hp
Plowing in early 1980s we had Mack R models with Scania motor. The motor out lasted the truck. 6 wheeler with front 11’ plow. Side dump sander. Had some big Snowstorm back in Northern Massachusetts. Good Luck
Hey Bruce, I love that you want to look after this one and learn all about these trucks. I'm looking forward to your trip to Finland and all the stuff you bring back to get this one in tip top shape. Great video. 👍
What a nice tradition you have in your country of Christmas parades, lovely. 🥺😊👏
Have you seen the scania longline cab.
Hi, In 2000, I got a new 144 and I drove it for 5 years all over Europe (really great truck) ..but when we changed to Mercedes Actros with G211-16 automatic gearbox was a game changer
(gearbox runs like butter)
Hi Bruce, I'm from the Netherlands.I'm pretty sure that you know that Scania is built in Sweden so why go to Finland? Hopefully you get to have a go in the new next generation Scania. Up to 770hp ex factory
Well he has got a lot of nice parts from a tuning company in Finland that already has sponsored him.
I assume parts would be cheaper here in Sweden though as Finland is more expensive than Sweden.
Yes here in Finland everything is expensive. Thats why we go other countries shopping cars and other stuff
Hi Wilson protip from the dealer mechanic. If your power steering growls when you turn and it doesn't need oil. The oil level is correct. You can fill it up some more until it stops hisin. Sometimes the oil will form a funnel down in the filter and it will suck air. Thank you for great content
Nice truck, i got also a Scania R620 v8 right now it's on customization process remaking a legendary klintra bv Scania. Ordered almost everything for my project, already got trux highway bullbar 🎉
Watching this video sitting in my Scania R500 (R1) V8. Take care of this one Bruce i still haven't been able to forgive you for how you mistreated the other 144 😤 but i have faith in you for doing this one right😉 and be careful flooring a V8 with a cold engine!! Make sure she's warm before you give her the beans, trust me on this.... just some friendly advice👍 greetings from a Dutch trucker
If you want a show truck you might as well do a full engine rebuild. There must be a company in North America that does Scania marine engines?🤔
There's Abreu from what I've seen.
Yes there actually is one marine and industriat in in the US was a guy from Denmark there last summer whit his new scania on a road trip in the USA the visit one that sold v8s for marine ec In new jersey or new york ua-cam.com/video/9tITbdLbDCU/v-deo.html
Nice truck 😊, you need to buy insert paper for the centrifuge oil filter when you go to Finland. Makes it much easier, and the centrifuge filter shows you if you got engine bearing failure, the bearing particles will show in the build up in the filter. Nice work, all the best from Denmark 🇩🇰🤘
Hello Bruce. Change out the tag axle to a narrow type Scania axle, that is for twin mounted wheels.
I used that front step as a seat when eating lunch out in the nice weather during the summer 👍
The motor seems to be designed very similar to marine diesel motors that are very modular and be disassembled in individual pieces whereas others are all 1 piece
Scania started by making marine engines, look up the company if you want to know more. Also, Volvo started by making boat engines, then they went into vehicles, tractors and even fighter jets.
Scania actually sells marine engines in the USA
@@Xv1p3rCr0 True that, I went to Gothenborg, Sweden to the Volvo museum in November of 2022, now I want to back to visit the Södertälje Scania Factory.
Hey, Bruce I became a big fan of your channel and you're doing amazing stuff. I'm 61 years old and I was born raised in date city actually Lacoochie LOL I'm sure we know lot of the same people Now I live in newport richey but Date city will always be my Hometown
also everything doesnt need to be blue wtf! this truck actually looks really good in white for some reason
For fuck sake,it is his truck and guy likes blue colour...
I wonder if the reason dealers sell several different colored trucks and cars is because not everyone likes the same thing? The guy likes his rigs blue not white.
If you happen to pass Södertälje in Sweden on your way to Finland, where the main Scania facility is located - there's a massive Scania museum to visit. Used to work at the factory - still miss it!
