Carolen, this is a fabulous size bag, and I really appreciate that it expands to give you more room, but I must admit that the extra magnetic straps in the front would make me nuts!… There are so many bags that I love the look of, but know myself well enough to pass…and for that reason it wouldn’t work for me. Fringe on bags is another no for me. The leather looks amazing and I know you will get great use out of this Mulberry bag. Thanks so much for sharing!!!!🤗💕
Oh I totally understand. The LV bag I got that had been redone with fringe -I sold because it kind of got on my nerves but I got compliments every time I carried it!

I have the regular Alexa and two oversized Alexa’s and they all have the capability to expand at the side by releasing the side tabs. I should by the mini Alexa but I just bought two bum bags and a backpack so I need to be a good girl for a while 😇🤷🏽♀️

Welcome to my corner of the interwebs! I would definitely say they’re a little fussy but I’ve had other bags that have bothered me more.
I don’t ever have to actually manually place them on the magnet part they just find their way there on its own so I don’t have to do anything except close the post lock. I do close/lock that every time but mostly because I am particular that way!
The magnet parts are also heavy enough that when I’m wearing the bag and I open it, it drapes behind the bag, open and that allows me to move stuff around easier inside.
Hope that helps! It’s always so hard to know if a purse is really right for you without trying it out first!

It varies between typically a 380 and a 9 mm!
I have the regular Alexa. I have found it to be too heavy for me to carry around but I’m afraid to buy the mini now. They are so beautiful but just so heavy.
the mini hasn't been too heavy but being full leather I can totally see how it would be for some people. :-)
I carry my pew pew in it and it still doesn't get too heavy for me but it is smaller and I think that really helps with the weight
It’s the leather, the different Mulberry leathers i.e. goat, small grain, buffalo etc are not so heavy. Mulberry’s shrunken calf is very heavy though but looks amazing and came in some stunning colours in the Alexa back in the day. It’s my second time around with the Alexa’s. I had the first version many years ago. It’s my all time favourite Mulberry bag and I’ve been collecting them years but I’m British so it’s to be expected lol!

Is the top handle soft or stiff?
It stands up on its own but you can bend it/push it down... it just goes right back to standing up... so the answer is ... neither soft nor stiff i guess! LOL
It holds its shape but is moveable ... hope that helps!
Can the buckled flaps be adjustable? I understand there are magnets underneath, but it bugs me that the buckled flaps over hang past the size of the bag (hope that made sense).
frankly I don't remember! That's a great question I feel like I remember them being able to be adjusted but I'm not 100% certain as this bag has gone to live at another home!

@@AnythingBtOrdinary91 of course! I really just reached for other less fussy bags. I was afraid to scratch the hardware any more than it already was and lose more value ya know?! I sold for less than what I paid buy a bit (i dont remember now how much I try to block that out! HAHA)

@AnythingBtOrdinary91 I didnt used to - but now I have learned I like to change it up so much (except for the few I LOVE and reach for literally all the time!) I may not buy to resell but I always know that that is a possibility for me at any given point!
Sweetness, Please don’t pull your brush or anything else out of the side of your bag without opening. You will ruin the inking and not be a happy bunny.

I finally found a mulberry bag I could identify with....A Mini Alexa!!....I was horrified to see its MADE IN CHINA!!!! Tag in the pocket 😱.....obviously Mulberry have sold their soul to the devil!!!
Now producing only 50% of its bags in The UK
Even I got sucked into the whole Mulberry British heritage story!! 😩
But...Demanding a High end price....for Cheap Quality massive produced...it doesnt even have the same finish quality as the old Mulberry Alexa !!....shame on Mulberry!! You can do better!!!....😩 Even On Return....Mulberry customer service couldnt answer my questions!!
I returned my mini Alexa & purchased An Alexa bag....which is MADE IN ENGLAND! But still the quality isnt there sadly!!.....

The mini Alexa is a beautiful bag and really practical. I didn't know they are made in China and if that's true I am not happy with that at all but I did buy it second hand so at least I know I wasn't part of the first hand consumer cycle... I agree shame on them (and a LOT of other companies) for sending the work over to other countries rather than sticking with their older values and providing jobs for their own people.
As beautiful and practical as this bag is I have chosen to list it up for sale because its not one I reach for on the regular. Hoping someone else can get some use out of it and love it more than me.
