This reminds me so much of growing up with my dad. He had a huge collection of jazz, blues, and r&b albums. Even as a little kid I loved the “easy listening” genre. This is the only song I would play from the album. So relaxing.

I know this song may sound "muzak-y" to some. But it still takes me somewhere on a gentle, tropical breeze when I hear it. And there's some fine playing, especially the various guitar solos. It's a really interesting chord/key progression too, if you take time to notice it. Thanks for posting.

ESTE TEMA LO CONOCI EN JAZZ FM STEREO DE LA CD DE MEXICO CON EL SR. ROBERTO MORALES (QEPD) Y EL SEÑALABA QUE ERAN PASAJES DEDICADOS A BRASIL, ES UNA OBRA DE ARTE, PERMITE SENTIR COMO SI ESTUVIERAMOS EN UN VIAJE A TRAVEZ DEL AMAZONAS EN COMUNION CON TAN BELLA NATURALEZA, SE DISFRUTA AL MAXIMO LA CALIDAD DE LESS MCCANN.

Wow!! I know i missed some good stuff during the 70's, but how could I missed this?? Something new to add to my repertoire of great unheralded music.

This is from the album Les McCann - The Man (A&M 1978)
Other Les McCann albums worth listening: Talk to the people (Atlantic 1972) and River HIgh, River Low (Atlantic 1976)
Les McCann is usually known from his earlier works, but I like these 70's albums. His Fender Rhodes playing and vocals are great.

I only have this in vinyl. Another great track is called "The Blue Dot." I was listening to this last night in my garage (on old cassettes) and thinking it was Lonnie liston Smith till I looked at the track list on the back of the cassette.

Hi. Nice to see 'The Man' posted. I have the vinyl - no turntable at present. Could you post (I'm always) 'Waiting' ? A fave love song. Can't find it anywhere. Thanks.
