You would've never thought that the lady was controlling Jamie’s dad. Even though she always stayed by him and had her hand on his back, you never would’ve guessed that she was controlling him.
Well she made it convincing but you could still tell because even though he was talking his body looked lifeless idk if it’s just me but he just looked like a corpse
0:56 listen carefully and you will him say, “they forced me to scream” even in the translation. I don’t know but it is like a dead giveaway that Mary is in control but forgot and got carried away for a moment...
I didn't catch that when I first watched this movie. Imagine being in his position and processing what had just been said. Your heart would drop down to your feet.
Anastasia Isabella Well, his dad literally Looked dead and he didn’t notice. Maybe he’s just a little naive? Maybe he suspected, but was blinded cuz he wanted to see what he wanted. Until, ya know, the twist.
I loved this movie too. It’s like right on the edge of being a genuine horror film but also just really fun and campy too. It’s great to watch in a group where you can laugh at it. But by yourself? A li’l chilling.
Plot of story. -Kid gets killed my Mary Shaw -Whole family seeks revenge -find Mary Shaw -cut her tounge -she seeks revenge -1 by 1 she kills -fathers then fathers to mothers then mothers the children she kills!
The dad is a dead doll. If he died for long time ago his body should be rutten. This was the most crazy thing about the movie. The same thing with the missing boy.
This woman DISGUSTS me. She was the one who killed that boy, and now she’s mad and wants revenge? She got what she deserved and she knows it! It’s her loss! She just doesn’t care! She should’ve thought about what she was gonna do twice! And I get that those dolls are super precious to her, but she’s that crazy to kill someone who offends her and her dolls?! FOR CHRIST SAKE. Her actions always have a way of coming back to her but she won’t accept that. OH MY GOD
I agree. She's one of those characters that's just pure evil. Like Krueger, Myers, Chucky etc. As much as I like the sympathetic villains, I love characters who are written to be utterly twisted.
Looking at this scene after seeing the ending I don't see it as believable. His eyes are still moving (even though he's not blinking) and there is some muscle movement in the upper area of the face. It's kinda stiff but not enough to convince me that he's a doll. Also I kept looking at her movements. There was no movement in the neck area that would give any indication of ventriloquism...
Yeah, but then supernatural powers were involved which Mary has. For all we knew the basic control we see is just for her to channel her puppetry powers and not for complete conventional control.
There was definetly movement in her neck area as well as you could see her lips moving. There's also the fact that she kept doing awkward looking gestures while looking down in a way that someone who was hiding the movement of their lips bwould
When I first watched this, was at night time and we all fell asleep after we finished the movie, and I had mad paranoia when I was trying to fall asleep.
His dad already clearly looked dead here, that along with him acting out character too should have raised red flags from Jaimie that the real danger was closer to home.
Has no one wondered why we see a "eyewitness" or personal flashback of the kid Michael tied up in Mary Shaw's doll room? Because Mary Shaw is the one narrating it.
I don't get why Jaimie didn't look more into this all to begin with. Was pretty obvious that it was not his dad moving, even before the end reveal I could tell that he wasn't moving or talking on his own and with how overly clingy and nice Ella was too knew she as up to something.
I was wondering. If his reacts did not make mary empathize with him ? Since he is not agreeing with the family and just asked about the story innocently
Sons should not have to pay for the sins of their fathers...what happened to Mary Shaw while justified she had no right to hold against the descendants of those that did it to her. Jaime and his wife in particular had nothing to do with it. Proves that Mary Shaw was as stupid as she is childish to hold onto a grude that long.
Why is this such a cliche? Children either disappear or get harmed One suspect Not enough evidence One or more families hunt the suspect down and kill the person he or she comes back for revenge It's been used a lot
Chill out bro, it's just a Horror movie. All horror movies got typical clichés. Important point is how they use this in scenario. This movie made a twist ending about it so that's fine
So someone I can't remember who said the step mom being the same age as Jamie was the uncanny valley I personallydo not I know these things happen weather for money or genuine love this can happen, yet this old guy who looks pale and has a little skin colored spots probably to cover up the dead like veins showing in his flesh, moves his head zo loose it looks a little weird and doesn't even blink totally normal.
I just love how they filmed this entire scene without showing the back of his head even once. But you can still tell that something just isn't right.
Yeah at that moment is suspected that something was wrong.
if you watch behind the scenes they made a dummy of the father actor.
You would've never thought that the lady was controlling Jamie’s dad. Even though she always stayed by him and had her hand on his back, you never would’ve guessed that she was controlling him.

@@yourboyphoenix3217 yeah that too
@@yourboyphoenix3217 yeah but did you catch that in real time or is this hindsight after seeing the ending?
@@jeanlouis1898 I caught that in real time after seeing his dad and how that lady was always right next to him
You don’t even know the ladies name? Her name was Ella.
It's Crazy That The Whole Time Pops Is Dead and It's Mary Her Telling Her Story
Yeah, I thought it was weird. But then I realized she was telling the truth.
death merchant
Mary Shaw did the right thing to reveal Michael ashen vanished 5,000$ is alot
To be fair, the dad did look dead.
Yeah dead inside.....and out to
Lol reall he ain't even blinking lmaoooo
Yeah he did!!!!!
Ikrr
That's what I'm saying lol
Mary is a good ventriloquist in this scene
Wait what 😮😱
Broo the fact that Jamie was only talking to Mary the whole time gives me a terrible chill
Lol the lady was controlling the Dad as a puppet the whole time
so you can say that in this scene, Mary is the one telling the story of what happened to herself, not the father
Joe T notice the way “he’s” telling it too. “He” sounds morbid and almost happy. As if he’s trying to scare him.
Yeah, but was she real?
How do you know?
@@sarahcreates7535 I use my imagination. :)

They forced her to scream.
Oh that was a dead giveaway how could Jamie miss that
Anastasia Isabella Well, his dad literally Looked dead and he didn’t notice. Maybe he’s just a little naive? Maybe he suspected, but was blinded cuz he wanted to see what he wanted. Until, ya know, the twist.
I thought he said they forced her scream or they forced a scream
This movie's twist makes this scene all the more chilling...
This movie was a trip. It was so ridiculous that it was fun to watch. Creepy too. It was very well done. The ending made my hair stand on end!!!

thanks for the plot
I killed them all! Not just the men, but the women and the children.
@@tobyswiss7909 I understood the reference.
Imagine for thousands of years she still continues her revenge why couldn't she just move on
0:25 you can barely see her lips move when he says "sit down"
If you look closely when he says Jamie, you can see her lips move. 😆😆😆
plus if you notice too the father never blinks and the step mother is always at his side using only one arm, she's controlling him like a puppet.
Oh yeah when I didn't see it
The dad is a dead doll. If he died for long time ago his body should be rutten. This was the most crazy thing about the movie. The same thing with the missing boy.
Maybe he was embalmed
if you think about it when "he had a stroke" most of the time strokes can be fatal depending on a person's age and health.
True
1:53 Nobody:
Michael from beyond the grave: her lips are moving!
1:31 Jamie: Actually I resented you for taking away my pokemon.
dead meme
Mary is Freddy's ancestor.
I feel like something like this has occurred in real life, it just hasnt been told of
What is occurring?
"spirits have long memories" meaning the dead remember in the after life.

kid should have kept his mouth shut and not say anything.
there should have been not a sequel to this one but a prequel.
Lol when the child screamed it looks like he was a screaming mouse

I mean shes a supernatural ghost you have to assume she has some powers of illusion
The part where he says Jamie I'm sorry, you can see that her reaction matches his.
0:25 you can barely see her lips move when he says "sit down"

also did you notice the father not once in the movie blink?
When I first watched this, was at night time and we all fell asleep after we finished the movie, and I had mad paranoia when I was trying to fall asleep.
This was among the first horror movie I watched and got interested to Horror movies .
“Beware the stare of Mary shaw”
“She had no children only dolls”
“And if you see her in your dreams”
“Make sure you never ever scream”
“Or she’ll rip your tongue out at the seam”
can anybody see his step mom moving her lips ...
It's weird he didn't even question why he hasn't blinked since he's been there 😅😅😅
Tbh when I saw this scene the dad looked dead inside, and he wasn’t even blinking.
The head turn of the dad at 0:06 is a creepy dead no pun intended giveaway that he is being used as a human dummy
I was shown this movie when I was young and this is the only thing I remembered, and some sort of boat scene I think
You got to be kidding me the lady was controlling the dad as a doll the whole time before the beginning of the movie.
Yeah,,

Cleveland: Oh that's nasty
2:08 At least she gave him the apology that he never got.
0:53 that doll looks annabelle but its an idea of james wan when he’s creating this
I don't really think Michael ashen was Jamie's great uncle I think he was Jamie's uncle meaning that Michael ashen would be jamies fathers brother
His dad already clearly looked dead here, that along with him acting out character too should have raised red flags from Jaimie that the real danger was closer to home.
There is an answer to that as to why Jamie's Dad is dead he doesn't blink
plus he's extremely pale meaning no blood flow in the skin.
She is doing one Hell of a Bob Gunton Voice.
I can't remember the song that an alternative band did with this movies scenes as the video
Has no one wondered why we see a "eyewitness" or personal flashback of the kid Michael tied up in Mary Shaw's doll room?
Because Mary Shaw is the one narrating it.
0:42 was that a Harpy Lady screech?
How did he blink or move his eyes if she was controlling him?? or move his eyebrows..
Likely Mary was taking control of him, like how she see and talk with other dolls.
if you watch the bous features they made a model of the father as a dummy. actually, the actor rarely blinks.
It was his great uncle
mary shaw telling her story about ventriloquist

Lionel Messi is a great actor🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ryan Kwanten looks like what people in 2001 expected Haley Joel Osment would grow up to look like.
Man got me, if it's a brother, then it will be extinction, there is no Gordon who forgives. That's Mary Shaw's story, one puzzle solved.
0:54 The doll looks like Annabelle, I think it’s like that because this movies also directed by James Wan.
So that’s what happened to the warden from Shawshank redemption after he killed himself
I was wondering. If his reacts did not make mary empathize with him ? Since he is not agreeing with the family and just asked about the story innocently
he could've left the town and he would've lived
Hey dad say aghhh
"A Nightmare on Elm Street" parallels, anyone?
That girl's a good ventriloquist.
