it was really nice too see all 3 of them get back together too me Bananarama will always be the 3 of them not the 2 of them so it was about time they all got back together no matter what happen in the past its was nice too see them put all that behind them for the fans
+aleister crowley Oh I didn't know that. These ladies are so fun to listen to unlike TLC who seemed so sad and bitter which is understandable considering what they went through.
@@aprilgosa6315 Yes, I forgot to mention them. Back in the day Malcolm McClaren was quite the Hero, especially with Buffalo Gals on the burgeoning Breakdancing Hip Hop Scene. I wonder when they did American Bandstand did they realize they were making History by being the first and only UK Girl Group to appear on the Show.
"He Was Really Saying Something" was originally done by the Lesser Known Motown Girl Group The Velvelettes who never got the Money, Fame, Glory, or Status that The Supremes, The Marvelettes, or Martha & The Vandellas got but they didn't regret it for one minute.
Bananarama were a great group vocally but Sara and Keren were quite stuck-up. I loved Siobhain as she was always the alternative one where her mood and attitude was like a breath of fresh air compared to that of Sara and Keren.
I remember watching Them do "Help" and I cringed and at the same time laughed. Kind of how it was on The Office which had some brilliant cringeworthy scenes.
Isn't it amazing they debut in 1981 and on June 15th Duran Duran release their First Album. June 15th as you know is the Birthday Of Nadine Coyle formerly of Girls Aloud.
Everyone seems to forget that The Go-Go's and Runaways were also "girl power" way before Bananarama. And there were some all girl rock bands before the Runaways too, but they never get mentioned.
I think that's why Siobhan left and she was the one that was more desciplined/ bit more serious than the other two, Pete Waterman said so. Siobhan was the grafter.
They knew each other longer since Little Girls. They went through more stuff. It still continues with New Edition. Rick Bell, Michael Bivins (who discovered Boyz To Men), and Ronnie Devoe aka Bell Biv Devoe perform while in another Camp, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill, and Bobby Brown perform together. They like TLC can't get a recording contract.
I sometimes wonder if they looked at The Drama at The Girl Groups that came after them and want to say "Cool It". I wished that they would have talked to Popstars The Rivals or even Girls Aloud. Remind them that Pop Music Giveth & Pop Music Taketh Away.
In Comparison to Simon Cowell, Malcolm McClaren really was an amazing guy. He did The Clash (Rock The Casbah), Buffalo Gals (That he did himself), Madame Butterfly. If he had lived he would have been as successful as Simon or even Pete Waterman.
Is The Smash Show the UK Equivalent of Behind The Music for VH1. Is it me but would you say that UK Girl Groups have had less drama than their US Counterparts.
@@mjrydsfast That's such a way to look at it but after seeing The Big Reunion with B*Witched, Eternal & The Honeyz they went through their share of Drama.
I grew up in the 80s and had a love-hate relationship with this band. Adored and copied their hair (backcombed and hairsprayed) and clothes (rara skirt, tucker boots, vest tops) and some of their music was a guilty pleasure, but I absolutely couldn't stand how they behaved in interviews. Surly is an understatement. They also did a BBC show when a reporter called Paul Heiney set himself the challenge of making a music video for them. They were rude and ungrateful throughout and Heiney really struggled to cope with their whims.
Talentless then, talentless now and desperate for cash. They wouldn't even try an impromptu song in numerous interviews, even though most of their "hits" (and I use the term loosely) were covers.
RJO 911 YEAH THEY ARE TALENTLESS (THIS FIRST SENTENCE IS SARCASM) BUT HAVE LASTED 20 SOMETHING YEARS AND NEVER REALLY STOPPED PISS OFF NEGATIVE NED LOL MAYBE 30 YEARS NOW LOL
They wrote all of there songs only some of them they've done are covers but most of the songs on there albums they have written themselves only true bananarama fans would know that
I think Siobhan has a very relaxing voice when she talks. I like to listen to her.
Absolutely, I love Siobhan's voice. It's so hypnotic
These girls still looking amazing. Love them all.
+Vic Damico You should see them now, they didn't age well.
hoopenhanger they look good for their age.
I love how down to earth they still are.
Shiobhan is so beautiful
All three girls have beautiful smiles.
You never really DO ever see much (If any) interaction between Siobhan & Keren...
Thank you SO much for posting this show!
Siobhan is the best
utter brilliance.
it was really nice too see all 3 of them get back together too me
Bananarama will always be the 3 of them not the 2 of them so it was

God bless the one who had upploaded this! 👍💖 I love Bananarama to bits 💖💖💖 and their new album In Stereo is sooooo intoxicating and well-thought ✊👍
THIS IS SO FANTASTIC ! ! !
I noticed that a lot of UK Groups always start with Two Kids who become Friends In School. Them, Duran Duran, The Beatles, are prime examples.
Add to that list Pink Floyd
+aleister crowley Oh I didn't know that. These ladies are so fun to listen to unlike TLC who seemed so sad and bitter which is understandable considering what they went through.
WHAM! Andrew and George met at school

Beautiful, elegant women tend to be like that Mikey, just thought I would educate you on women.
What a bullshit comment lol
I don't know which one I would take to my bed? Sara, Keren or Siobhan, I would be so confused!
I thought they were great before they joined stock aiken waterman then they weren't as good.
They were the only Girl Group from The UK to do American Bandstand in The US. I miss that show, I would have loved for Girls Aloud to do the Show.
Love it!!!
I reckon Jennifer Saunders thinks Sara Dallin was the easiest impression she ever had to do - Sara sounds so much like Jennifer it's unbelievable...

I loved siobhan fahey was my favourite banana 🍌 she was cool and anti establishment
Siobhan made that group

Keren and Sara seem very cliquey. I feel sorry for Siobhan and Jacquie.
BucklandsP3 not anymore she is back with them

Look at how beautiful they are at 1:38.
The beggining! Lol:D

cracked up when they said biggest girl group of all time. Maybe in the UK but not the world. The Supremes are considered a girl group
And to think in 2002 Hilary Shaw managed Girls Aloud who I'm sure were more laid back than Banarama.
Don’t pit powerful, successful, talented women against each other ever. Don’t try it ever.
Their voices were amazing despite their campy image.
Is The Smash Show the UK Equivalent of Behind The Music for VH1. Is it me but would you say that UK Girl Groups have had less drama than their US Counterparts.
its true they handle it better LOL
Drama sells in America. No drama, no future. Thanks TMZ.

I love Bananarama and MrPoopFace!

. . and now they're touring again - strewth. Couldn't sing then, even worse now.
I had no idea they were all 3 transgender male to female!
No
my crush was on Sara Dallin..is she single?
Talentless then, talentless now and desperate for cash. They wouldn't even try an impromptu song in numerous interviews, even though most of their "hits" (and I use the term loosely) were covers.

Mike Tyson thought they were awesome enough to sing one of their songs.
If you think they're crap take it up with Mike.
They wrote all of there songs only some of them they've done are covers but most of the songs on there albums they have written themselves only true bananarama fans would know that
