After almost 30 years, Bananarama are back with all three original members and will be hitting the road for a UK tour. They chat about what inspired the group to reform and what they have planned for the future.

I am so grateful to have been a teenager in the 80's. I have so many great memories when I listen to Bananarama and all the other dynamic groups. I remember meeting a beautiful redheaded girl while cruising Main one Saturday night. Her name was Shannon. We talked as we drove down Main, our cars side by side going about 15 mph. She told me to stop at a gas station at the end of Main so we could talk. This was getting close to the end of summer and I was going into my senior year (1986). We talked and hit it off. Her and I cruised around for the rest of the night in my 1972 Dodge Dart. She told me that Bananarama was her favorite band. Luckily, I had a cassette tape of their True Confessions album. We cruised until the sun came up and I took her back to her car. We dated during my senior year off and on. I joined the Army and went to basic a week after graduation. I gave her that tape before I left, hoping she'd wait for me, but alas, she didn't. I never saw her again. She ended up getting back with her ex. He got her pregnant and now they're married somewhere in this great country of ours. I harbor no ill feelings. Thank you, Bananarama! You influenced my life in a positive way.

They were successful coz they didn’t take themselves too seriously and we’re very relatable, a bit like the spice girls in the 90s. Girls aloud were phenomenal too but more polished and manufactured as are more girl groups these days coz of the way the music industry works

Sarah is very dry.. actually They all can have a sarcastic edginess to their personalities..with humor.
I believe she has her original enthusiasm for her self and group....plus the tours spent...unique...thank you wonderful ladies...much love...shoreman....

There is a weird body language coming from Sara towards Shibboleth. I get the feeling she resents her for leaving the trio.
Siobhan makes the other 2 fantastically uncomfy
The 60 Minutes feature was bizarre. They basically cropped out and barely mentioned Siobhan. Check it out
Same with Jacquie, she doesn't get mentioned a lot in interviews which is quite a downer

I saw them 3 times, twice of it as a duo. In concert they where singing live. They do not have that great voices. But they always sing live.
Without Siobhan there is no Banarama. There is no magic as a duo.
The last hour I've been scanning to learn about them...

This was their biggest concert tour since the 1989 tour they did with Jacqui. Without Siobhan there really isn’t Bananarama …in my opinion.

Terribly, Terribly, Terribly disappointed, the ladies never had the idea to possibly record a new single, either to promote the tour and for the fans new and old, i would love for the four ladies to record a single together to honour the groups past......i truly believe i'm not alone in this
