what a band...holy crap!! Setzer has been a favourite of mine for a long time, and every time I see him play I'm reminded why yet again. Adams is also very talented, but this show is all Setzer and his amazing orchestra.
I’m watching this in 2018 and I didn’t know what to expect. I’m a die hard Brian Setzer fan!! I grew up on Long Island NY, just as Brian did. This is pretty darn good.
I agree, and Setzer is WAY underrated! I just went through a Rolling Stone list of top 100 guitarists, and while I could agree with every one on the list, I am CERTAIN that Brian Setzer ought to have been on it!
frikken awesome loved it and i'm not sure you can get much better than this.2 of my all time faves in one place.its not my birthday yet but thanks for the birthday present this rocks.stevie ray vaughn if he was living would have been proud.
I would love to have seen these guys play together in about 1984, at the height of their popularity. Stray Cats album Built For Speed and Adams album Reckless are two of my favourites.
This was a great special. I remember wondering how these two got together, not meaning to shortchange either. Both Brian and Bryan are extremely good at what they do. "Hey Elvis" is such a righteous tune!
Oh, and Bernie dresel... not only the driving force behind BSO, but the best living drummer and percussionist on this planet. Drifted now, but I was proud to call him a friend...... Mikey xx
Rarèly have I seen & heard musicians who had so much fun playing their music ! The audience started boiling during the 1st take, and never stopped. Brian & Brian are unbeatable, so much joy and passion in what they are playing, just great !
Look up a band called the Cellmates. They sound like they’re from Europe, but I just found out that they did a pretty good version of it. It’s on UA-cam
Sadly, Brian S is wrong. B.A. did not write "Hey Elvis". It was......wait a second, written by Billy Ray Cyrus (I just threw up a little in the back of my mouth)
Ace Andres u are incorrect. Bryan Adams wrote Hey Elvis as a b side for a single off his 18 til I die cd in the mid 90s. Billy ray covered it years later & just recently covered it again with Bryan on harmony vocals.
If someone from another planet wanted to know what "cool" is - just send them to any recording of Brian Setzer. That Conan appearance is the definition of a POWER TRIO!
Bryan Adams was born to play Rockabilly... Why did he do all the coommercial stuff. After Reckless, he lost some roots me thinks. Yep, they should do this again with Setzer doing Bryan Adams songs. You can see how comfortable this is for Setzer and slightly 'fish out of water' for Adams. But pure bliss though.. Mikey xx
Check out the Bryan Adams lead track on his record called Get Up. It came out a few years. It’s a rockabilly song called you belong to me. In fact the entire record is definitely a throwback. Total retro 50s/60s vibe. There’s a music for you belong to me.
That cat host shouldn't have called it 'the Brian Setzer '68 comeback special ', it wasnt a remake of the Elvis special, and Setzer was late '70s onwards, great song though cool 👏
Stellar performance!! Wish I could have been in that audience!❤❤❤❤❤

Absolutely awesome performance......truly stands the test of time.

Bryan sure did some fine harmonies on this! Rockabilly is the best, and Brian Setzer is the MAN!
I agree, and Setzer is WAY underrated! I just went through a Rolling Stone list of top 100 guitarists, and while I could agree with every one on the list, I am CERTAIN that Brian Setzer ought to have been on it!

Love to see how much they’re all enjoying this, puts a smile on my face every time!
I would love to have seen these guys play together in about 1984, at the height of their popularity. Stray Cats album Built For Speed and Adams album Reckless are two of my favourites.
Brilliantly performed duet show, tributes to Elvis, a Carl perkins tune, how I'd love to have been there 😎
This was a great special. I remember wondering how these two got together, not meaning to shortchange either.
Both Brian and Bryan are extremely good at what they do. "Hey Elvis" is such a righteous tune!
This is one of the songs on my play rotation. I❤it!!!
Man, the two Brian’s (Bryan’s) are having a ball. Also the orchestra. Good stuff!

This was 20 years ago. Brian Setzer is a much better guitarist today. I don't think they released this as a live recording.
Ace Andres I agree but for people to understand that he is better they need to understand he was a great guitarist at 21...so now...😳👍🏽
4 minutes in I'm ready to "give the drummer some"
Like to give Brian some xx
This is on itunes
hell is there anything that brian setzer cant do
That's Setzer's Gibson ES295!!
