I play this when my mood is really low. After it, i can feel my body has relaxed. Dopamine from hearings music? Must do something to the mind & body. 💖💖💖💖
The great thing about it is that it morphs from acoustic into full out rock; the first half is your mood getting up, the second half is you back in the game.
I love how Jupp the drummer looks to Craig Potter the keyboardist at the end and puts his hand on his heart. Like he was all into it and with a rush of adrenaline probably. That was a great performance. I love how it was filmed. Wish I could go to see them at the Paradiso just once in my life, soon!!!!
Thanx so much for uploading ! I was there, it was great, i always look at the videos of this gig when i'm blue just so i can feel better : ) Oh,and i will be seeing them again live on monday, which is great cause i am blue ... Thanx again! Blessings
Anthony Phillips towercrane driver is the bands tribute to friend who passed away. I think it’s the emotion of the band, not just guy. The harmony !!!!!! Love
I like it. I know nothing about guitar playing but for me the motion goes with the music and for me adds a different visual clue. I’m very visual. Thanks for the comment
I will echo your original comment in that case ☺ Still love the band with a passion but they had more experimentation and originality in their early work. I'm really happy that they finally received the global recognition they deserved with One Day Like This and the rest of the album, but it doesn't match up with Newborn, Not a Job, Powder Blue, Bitten by the Tailfly etc.
Guy Barvey is a great musical genius !!! poetry in music !!!
The organ part is always the best. Huge Talk Talk influence on this song.
Best recording ever of this song.
All time favourite song. All time favourite band. FUCKING OUTSTANDING.
I love this song too.
Asleep in the back such a brilliant debut album. How did it not win the Mercury prize, this track is one of the stand outs.

Such a brilliant song. I've seen Elbow twice but they didn't play this either time.

such a beauty!
sweeeeeeet song
Few things will bring a tear to my eye. The crescendo of this song happens to be one them. Strangely, Tower Crane Driver does the same thing.

....fantastic
Love how they nailed the cutoff of the recorded version's ending.
ripelivejam yes! It wouldn’t sound roon a recording.
If only I had been there!!!
awesome, hope to go see 'em at bridgewater hall with the halle, should be brilliant.
@mul1989 you are born a genius!
just fucking fantastic. no need to say anything else
The whole concert was on the Paradiso video channel for ages. Truly awesome.
HERMOSO!!!! Como me gusta esta banda!!!! =) Son geniales! =)
Es un tema hermoso! Me enamore de esta banda! :)
this is so nice
This version where Guy is on the guitar is spectacular. Doesn't have the same edge without the extra guitar.
I love the way Guy plays guitar. He does everything so weird. He walks his electric and plays an E chord with his thumb.
I like it. I know nothing about guitar playing but for me the motion goes with the music and for me adds a different visual clue. I’m very visual. Thanks for the comment
beautiful
Awesome ❤

It's been an 18 month tour..Time for a new Album =D
Elbow the letter nice name you have there!!!! Now its 2017 dec. when next album?
i read he taught it himself, that's why he plays so weird.
but that was in some strange forum so don't know if it's true.
KutaniCrane i heard that too, from him
How old is that baby now ?
He's playing in open D tuning, a lot of guitarists adopt this method.
rugshort what’s that? Do you know the story behind this story? Elbow plays stories with metaphors. Music creates visual art.
they still have't bettered this song….
I disapprove of what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
That's fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion. What do you suggest is better?
Richard Weir The Loneliness Of A Tower Crane Driver, Weather To Fly, Friends Of Ours, and of course One Day Like This

NorthSea0il i agree to loneliness! Then this **recorded** version. It really depends on the recording or guys mood. Even the venue.
makes stairway to heaven sound amateur
