I watched all of these guides after really struggling with anno 1800. After playing with the knowledge from these I have say these are some of the best constructed guides ive ever listened to. They are in depth and start from the very basics. Then the best part is how the guides actually progress with the viewers knowledge. Im now the proud ruler of a world with 30k pop and 50k rev - little to no supply chain issues and an in-depth understanding of those chains. Thank you sir, you are a god send.
UPDATE: Looks like they changed this, for the better. 1. You only need your island at 700 attractiveness to trigger the hacienda perk for incentive 2. The hacienda ring is way bigger than its actual effective range. I noted that even though I had good road layouts, my houses kept auto destroying themselves. I was confused because the video shows him filling the ring. Don't do that. Just like anything else, it seems it's affected by range and the houses closer to the hacienda showed their need meter full and those farther away, even though they were well within the hacienda ring, were way lower. I don't have an answer for this but I could only get 222 houses in the ring with TONS of space left in the ring. 3. I did get Beatrice but only needed to make 13 churches because of the lower attractiveness requirement to unlock the perk. 4. To spare your sanity, make fire, police, and medical services because without other needs being met, they get passed very fast and it seems like there is always some catastrophic event happening.
Is true but only half. I really think is worth sacrificing an island, for attractiveness and beauty for the rest of your islands? Without influence >propaganda will hit you hard, AI will expand and you not gonna be able to counter it without influence invested in military and so on.... lack of influence got nasty chain reaction taking roots in many aspects of your developing empire. I knoe cause I reached 92 k population pretty hard with few town halls and trade unions. Yes I had to eliminate Beryl was too nasty and a real obstacle not because I wanted to expand over her islands. With no influence couldn't hold on fresh conquered islands so I had to guard them till Chinese princes will take over. I don't like my self building ugly colonies or very efficient ones cause usually is the almost same thing in this game but, building them more "digital organic" will cost you space and a weaker economy - with influence you can compensate the economical disadvantages of beautiful islands. Not thinking I'm a great player but is just my 5 cents.
Just wanted to give you a HUUUGE thank you for the tip. I built 434 hacienda obreros residence and now I can fullfill my goal going full zoo, botanic garden and museum and much more (like town halls at large, specialized sources). One update (which you couldn't know 7 months ago) - thanks to your trick I also got about +15k Obrero workforce thanks to Postal system, basically resolving my needs for workforce (thanks to workforce sharing forever) and I am not even supplying them with needs. Again, super big thank you
Wow, had no idea that edict was for +5 influence per house. I'm assuming it's that much because the designers intended for people to use cultural modules to get attractiveness that high on the NW.
When I did this a few days ago and tried relocating the town hall and all the chapela, the bishopess bonus got applied to all the chapels again. And over and over, every time I did it. So I now have an island with 11000 attractivity...
If you want a little bit of a challenge so you can't rush to 1000 influence early game, you can force yourself to find and use the Great Barrier Reef zoo set. It gives +2 influence and +2 happiness to obrero quarters, so it scales really nicely without feeling like an exploit
I discovered that the column ornament from the Hacienda pack adds an insane amount of attractiveness... you can literally spam rows of columns and easily get the attractiveness you need- maybe a bug, maybe intentional. I think the wall is the same
Definitely a bug if this is the case... Ornament attractiveness is based on a formula that looks at the number of tiles occupied by ornaments and the amount of population on the island.
@@TakaUA-cam at least spamming columns aligns with beauty building. YOU get a column, and YOU get a column, EVERYBODY get a column! Maybe they will fix that when they fix the ridiculously low output of Fertilizer works.
Grammophones can be mass produced for free with Dario as soon as you can construct sewing machine factories. Adding to the soap/beer/fur coat trader cycle. If all else fails - gold bars to Nate after Crown Falls. Money shouldn't be an issue - attractivity of cities and influence is. :)
Wow, it did hit my income 2k negative, but we will work on that. Now I can take on the next Ai and destroy them. Destroying the first one, I noticed I should not vacate the island or the Ai settles it again quickly. So keeping all the islands cost me massive influence across 4 maps. SO this solved the influence problem! I am not up to investors yet. Thanks! Great videos you make!
I tried this today. It works but it seems like they changed some things. First, I had to build more than 1 church circle, needed about 1 full circle of about 100 churches and another with 10 more, but that depends on your island. Second I was able to squeeze 670 Obrero houses in my hascienda, taking up about 90% of the space. That netted me WAY more than 1000 influence. About 3,350 influence actually.
2:43 OK... what cheat did you use? I've not seen a single New World Island where you could even use the full range of the hacienda when plopping it down, let alone with miles of land to expand on without rivers or rocks.
Thanks for the great tip, cause I was in very big shortage of influence for a long time. While Gods of Delta is a partial solution - this one you came up with is much better. Gods of Delta can't get the 3d item cause game refuses to give me 3 stars Archeological expeditions, gave me only one and I didn't get the Temple of Nafir anyways but something else. Research Institute "rulette" not kind either with offering this item... so thanks again
Update - If you do this and go negative in your cash flow, but have lots of cash, then go buy some shares of AI islands, I went from $-4k to positive $5 k with 4 influence purchases!!!
So ok cant leave this forever, if you have a spare island to not really use then sure its ok, but cant remove this ever as the influence disapears the second the town hall goes away in the middle of those chappls. I tested this with few variations to see if the infuence could be kept and then the island reused as normal, but no cant, its 100% based on the Town Hall chappel being in play always with the hacienda stuff. the fact its alot of space it will takover one of the larger islands typically which in new world space is a premium so its not very usefull, unless you know you can regain the 1k influence late game to delete this and use the island later as normal. droping 1k influence later is not realy easy to manage especially since its in use on larger island.
Luckily I found what I needed for this to work, but having done so, It's now a major pain to feed the needs of all those Obreros on my main island. my influence jumped from approx 200 up to over 700 with this idea, but I think I need to figure out how to feed all of these Obreros first.
Yeah feeding them is a whole other thing haha... Luckily you don't have to to get the influence bonus and you still get several several thousand population even with just the hacienda access only!
@@TakaUA-cam I've played around with it a few times and on an empty island with a ball of chapels and the beatific bishopess(?) item and only the Hacienda with Hacienda Obreros only, It's possible to get it to work and keep the Obreros content with the hospitals and fire stations on the edges and a chapel and a boxing arena in the centre with the hacienda building. But it takes a build up of Obrero population to get the hacienda radius to expand and that's the trick to it I think. Once the radius expands you can build more Hacienda Obrero residences and that will keep going up to the point where it will generate enough influence, otherwise it may not work if the radius doesn't expand.
Looks like you can just let them starve - the influence is from the house, not residents - but you’ll probably have an angry media after you with all the shortages.

if u supply them with stuff don't u get more radius which means more house which also means more influence? (still don't got the dlc not sure about that)

No need to do those horrible chapel groupings. Arek Lisowski gives +2 attractiveness per Obrera house (either regular or hacienda house) and +10% income. Arek along with the few chapels you naturally need is more than enough.
There's no good way of nerfing Bruno/Dario and Docklands without changing how they all work completely and it would have disrupted entire economies. This is an easy change to give maybe 1 influence instead of 5.
