I don't blame you for being a bit scared; I once ripped my wetsuit from my butt to my knees AND gave myself an enema in the process of learning kiteloops. Stay Steezy!
I never put myself in that position, always did it both ways otherwise you're unbalanced physically and so it your kite. It's not like you're riding a directional board, it's a TT. And when the wind goes from S to N, or you're in a location which is difficult e.g. chop against your strong side, then what do you do? All the guys where I ride have that faulty mentality. They sell their kites while they still work properly.
You've built (and Pete is) quite the protagonist here. I really appreciate the inclusion of the internal struggle he has. That noisy mental block that can prevent you from being (for lack of better words) "in the zone" to try something scary is something I certainly can relate to. In a sport that has its fair share of "just fuckin' send it" and endless shorts of clean landings for incredible tricks, it's invigorating to see the challenges that also exist. This series has been incredibly entertaining, and inspiring. Excited each week when there's a new one out.
When he finally did the loop and everyone cheered and I was in my lounge cheering at the TV. Well done, Pete. Nice to see Otto chilling - get back to gusty Kernow!
Realy respect for your Progress man.. I am 55 yo. now.. started with 47.. so after nearly 8 Years i start smal kiteloops and also crashed hard enough to nearly be unconcious.. sooo.. its totaly right to take it slow or let go its not the moment.. sure i have to pay attention with 55 much more... but man... 1 month what a great progress..
loops start to take shape! quick question Colin - at @23:55, Cohan says 'for straight loops, he suggests to send the kite straight up, ... ' and then what? i'm new to this and I keep sending the kite to 11 (i jump left foot fwd) , I wonder if i should have send it straight up or to 1. thanks~
cohan says straight up - for looping when you are not high enough to heli/down loop. In the next episode, we talk about 11 vs. 1 for landings - stay tuned!
@@colincolincarroll ah yes thanks i wish i knew earlier! On some low loops i found if i send to 11 it takes too long to catch then I always ended up with crashes. But higher up then it’s good to send to 11 👍🏽

I think this is the most important video series in the history of kiteboarding.
hiding in a meeting room at the office to watch this.
Legend😂❤
You cant knock that he switched from jumping goofy to regular, pulling loops. Bravo. That is not easy.

I hope for the rest of his kiting days, Pete gets a motivational/honourary high-five and 'Send it Pete' at each kite spot he goes to. Great Series.
I have higher hopes. A knighthood, perhaps?
@@colincolincarroll a kitehood, perhaps?

Thanks Colin & team for that great work and entertainment.🤙🏼
Pete, you’re a legend 👍🏼

I learned to kite loop on land. 😅
No f way 26:44
Better than EastEnders!!
dot cotton is better looking though
I have the red side of the bar to the left. Am I doing it wrong 😮 6:10
I’m guessing it was to help him crank the loop faster
Red is right is wrong (red is left)
nah always have red on the left. He's taped up his bar for tennis elbow (lol), which you'll learn about next episode xoxox
@@colincolincarrolldoes taping the bar really help with that? Would be great news for me...
Interesting ☺️
GOOD FUCKIN KITE CONTENT! THANK YOU
Just sand it
i would like to volunteer for a freestyle version of this series
