Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

7:53 you should always bleed the unit of air before turning it on. Hold the trigger with the unit off and let the water flow through it for 20 sec or so.

Great tip! What about when you're done? Whats best practice? Turn off hose and pressure washer, then hold the trigger? Thanks in advance.

    • @zero604
      @zero604 3 роки тому

@@mikegt2 Yup, turn both hose and washer off, hold trigger to relieve the pressure, then disconnect hoses. During the winter, I try to get most of the water out by tilting it and shaking, then using some type of pump saver (antifreeze lubricant) to protect it until it's warmer out.

@@zero604 Thanks! Had a weird issue yesterday. I was using my SunJoe just fine, then i had to move to a spot where i had to plug into another electrical outlet. So i turn off the sunjoe, unplug power source, and when i turned it back it acted weird. If i wasnt pulling the trigger, it acted like if it wanted to turn on for a sec then stop, then on again and stop again, continuously. Did i mess something up?

Getting the deck ready for summer. My daughter has this model in her garage, put it together awhile ago and claimed it wasn't working. I watched your video and had it up and running shortly afterward. Our issue is poor water pressure, something we'll have to look into. Thank you for making the whole process clear and smooth!

I have this exact pressure washer. The only thing I don't like about it is that it tips over constantly. I finally decided to wheel it around in a little fold-up metal wagon that has a handle.
Using pressure washing detergent only seems to clean well when I actually use a sponge or rag and hand wash things myself such as my vehicle. I pressure washed my house (vinyl siding) and on certain areas I had to hand wash it to get the mold or algae off. This was mostly on the north side.
When I was looking for a pressure washer several years ago I wanted to buy a gas powered washer but I knew I wouldn't be able to lift it into my vehicle. This is why I purchased the Sun Joe.

I bought this sun Joe a few mths ago on sale but used it for the 1st time today. I had it all assembled & ready to go, however when I went to put the tip on I had a bit of trouble. It wouldn’t go on n I found myself forcing it on . I knew it wasn’t right. I referred to the manual, it didn’t help. Then I pulled up this video. I had to see how the tip was put on. Voila! Pull the gold collar down, pop the tip in. Easy peasy! I knew it had to be something simple. It’s hard to believe the manual doesn’t mention it. So thank you for being thorough and showing everything with this great little pw. I like it better than my previous work zone 1800 psi I got from Aldi yrs ago. Although its a decent machine for home use, the sun Joe is a bit stronger n is a little less noisy.

Very nice Tool to have at your home. Great for Front Porch, Back Deck made of Trex materials. Excellent on the Pavement, walk and driveway. I recently just added the 9 Foot, 9 Inch extension to clean all the way up to second floor gutters. One part is the connecting the Garden Hose to the machine itself. The adapter and the garden hose have to be connected exact, if not water leak's out.

That's where the fun stopped. LOL! I'm a "show me while telling me" type of instruction kind of gal. Not written diagrams. So, I "wing it" until the moment before (whatever) is about to go airborne.... THEN I pick up the directions. Half way through assembly I had an ah ha! UA-cam! And here you are! I bought one. First use went well. Spent hours cleaning my stamped concrete patio. Second use not so well. Cleaning wood fence. It was spraying a tiny leak out of the top, near soap tanks. Then the motor/pump started hesitating. Nothing bad enough to stop me. Then the hose split near the handle/gun and that was the end of it. The leak was so bad the pump would not shut off. Back in the box waiting for UPS to pick and return. Too bad because I really liked it. If it had just been the hose split I may have kept it, but the motor/pump issues on just second use was more than I'm going to risk. Mine was the new SPX-3000 MAX

For me, the only reason I sought a video for this was because the "Spray Wand Protector" (2:38) would simply NOT "snap in", as the instructions say as and as it does so simply here, for SevenFortyOne. I'm not alone, apparently; some comments on other videos seem to suggest many others have the same problem. These plastic parts just aren't consistent in molding, and it's frustrating as hell.

    • @KevinDavis_kmd

Success! I grabbed a flat-head screwdriver, and gently worked the slot into which the Spray Wand Protector was to be inserted; I twisted it ever so slightly across the width of the slot. Then, the piece snapped in easily. Sometime, you just gotta calm down and use your noggin'.

I have this unit but they've changed some of the features. For instance they now only have one detergent tank and its already attached. A couple other hangers are also different but I get the idea. Written instructions or lack there of are poor so this video helped.

I bought a refurbished one off eBay, only tried it once and couldn't get pressurized water, will have to try again because it seems to work well enough.

Thank you so much for your video. I was able to assemble the pressure washer Much easier with your guidance. I do have a question. When using the pressure washer, I have less pressure than I do using my hose. And I’m wondering if it’s because my hose is one of those flexible hoses and using a regular hose would make a difference

This is pretty impressive I'm definitely gonna learn more about this because I'm needing a pressure washer for a house I've recently bought and the siding definitely needs cleaning 👍
