Correction: the 787-9 has the longest range of the 787 family

  • @cskvision

    Emirates 787 order timeline:
    - 40 B787-10s in 2017, then changed
    - 30 B787-9s in 2019, then changed again
    - 20 B787-8s and 15 B787-10s in 2023
My bet is they'll change their mind on the 787 order again soon.

Emirates buying an end of life aircraft like the 1960s rehashed 777x dose not sound like a strategy with a long future. Clark may regret this.
Only those Countries who rely on the US to protect them militarily buy Boeing. Plus some lessors.
It’s not because the 777x is any good. It’s all about politics.
    Stay safe. Fly AIRBUS.

What??? The 777 is NOT a 1960s design. It literally has been in existence since 1994 only. Thanks for telling me you’re a delusional Boeing hater without telling me you’re a delusional Boeing hater.

    • @MrSchwabentier

There are parts of Brazil that are further away from Dubai than Texas is, but the releveant Cities in Brazil are in fact closer to Dubai than for example Houston or Dallas

Until I left Emirates in 2020, our longest direct flights were AKL, LAX, SFO. IAH, IAD, GRU were slightly shorter.
      I think they've started Mexico but I don't know if it's direct.

    • @swornthekillerintown
      @swornthekillerintown 8 місяців тому

@@MrSchwabentier yeah you're like off by several hundred kilometers. The furthest Western most country in South America is Ecuador. Now I know from Dubai you're going to go south west. Versus Texas where you'd be going slightly Northwest. But most of Texas is at least 500 to 600 km further than even the westernmost points of Brazil.

Clark complaining about A350-1000 which in service by other airlines. Than orders airplane that isn’t certified and doesn’t fly at all. Good one! Don’t come and say it will be certified soon. It’s been late 5+ years!

What is the point of having A350s, 777s, and 787s??? Wouldnt it be better and more logical to have one longhaul widebody type to streamline literally everything from pilot training and scheduling to maintenance operations?
Edit: I know next to nothing about airline operations or economics, I'm just genuinely curious
