It’s specific to each body of water. Some lakes and streams yes, But if it’s not listed specifically then the default law in Missouri is there is just a limit on how many hooks you can have in the water at once which is a maximum of 33 hooks. Unless your fishing the Mississippi River which then the maximum amount of hooks aloud is 50 I believe. It primarily applies to people fishing alternative methods, Such as, bank poles, limb lines, trout lines, etc. That’s why you see most cat-fishermen fishing 6+ rods at once out of there boats during tournaments.

By putting in a lot of time, energy, and occasionally everything comes together and you find the fish. This time of the year the cats usually go shallow for their spawn and the bite slows way down. So I went up shallow in a new spot I’d been wanting to fish and hoped for the best. Occasionally when I can find it some luck really helps! Lol

You can use more rods, just have to have them tagged like jugs or trotlines
