Thanks Steve it certainly feels a better balanced flight from the original and early days but the goggles 3 a big improvement on the fogging issue side compared to my goggles 2 that fog up as soon as you even look at them lol
@@jimthorleydronefootage 😂 I went from the v2 to Goggles3 so missed the ‘foggin hell’ stage, but I really like these goggles. The weight distribution and screens, so nice. And yeah agreed on the balance and build of the drone.. it seems to make a lot more sense!

Awesome maiden flight and beautiful countryside. The Avata 2 is a fantastic FPV drone and delivers great video quality, too. The 180° drift function is so cool. Very nice video, Jim. 🤘👌

Hats off to you Jim, that was amazing! I would say it's a safer way to fly (goggles) than using eyes and RC or phone screen. It's so impressive that that you can be sitting there with your spotter and fly right through the bridge. Brilliant! And exploring the ruined cottage a bit. All amazing. I'll need to get myself some decent music sources. Much enjoyed. Might give myself an early Christmas present. 🙂

Cheers, buddy, it's because I bought a drone Johnny. Every time I get one, the weather goes to shit so you can't try your new toy out. Never fails. I need to make a new rule to only get drones in the winter time, lol

really think the image quality is a step up, think maybe you shouldnt bother with nd filters, just keep the frame rate up for lower latency etc then add motion blur in post if its needed. the motion controller also looks like a serious step up, might take a few goes to get over the old motion controller, ps. if you get the chance to get a real good look under bridges before you fly them? take it, i cant tell you how many underwear emergencies i've had with things hanging down under bridges
Lol, cheers. Mac always do my due diligence before committing to under a bridge. The camera should be an improvement, especially in low light situations the motion controller is much the same except much much smaller. Because of the showers I never even had time to think about putting a nd filter on it was just up and go as quick as I could as I will not fly in the rain but it's certainly more balanced than the original and much lighter 👍

Thank you. This was with the motion controller no stock of the normal controller for now. Although I can use my original avata stuff it's binding all the time so I will just pick the controller up when available 👍
