Watching Henry barrel into a neighborhood with a bunch of chemical explosives is such a surreal experience and I'm glad no railroad ever in our modern day has driven a train of a gazillion toxic chemicals into residential neighborhoods only to derail and explode forcing the residents to leave or anything like that.

The message of the episode is greed can cause sin. Sacrificing something for riches. Sir topham hatt was greedy, causing the entire town and people to die with his greed, such as henry blocking the line for a fire truck when there was a children's hospital burning, and when he blew the town up with the accident, Sir topham hatt didn't care, he only put henry out of service, no apology, no compensation. NOTHING for the people who lost their lives. I'm an old thomas fan and I personally LOVED this parody. It's mesmerizing how the details are nearly perfect (except for henry & the fire things), but that's fine since at the explosion part, henry laying there was a reference to the flying kipper accident (but more brutal), and his faces are so good, same with everything. I wish everytime they talked about trains they'd make more parodies. It reminds me of Project: Tiger Moth or Shed 17. I just hadn't had the time to talk about this. I hope some thomas fans find this years later to watch this masterpiece.

Funnily enough, disasters like this one aren’t all that out of line with the series. The original show often portrayed train derailments and accidents. I don’t remember anything ever exploding but they certainly showed a fair bit of destruction.. Off the top of my head there was the one where Thomas accidentally starts running without his driver only to crash into through station master’s house. There was a similar situation where Thomas managed to crash into a barbershop (with the barber retaliating by coating Thomas in shaving cream). There were several where someone gets stuck in a ditch. There was that time we saw a sentient breakvan getting crushed. There was one where Gordon crashed through the wall of a station and ends up hanging several feet in the air. There were several occasions where the troublesome trucks caused an engine to lose control. There was that one time a bunch of trucks in the harbour got pushed into the water. I don’t even remember all the episode names or how they got into those situations! But I can remember most of those moments pretty clearly.
The episode where thomas runs into a house is called "thomas comes to breakfast" also thomas wasnt the one who crashed into a barber shop it was a gwr green pannier tank engine named duck the episode where duck crashes into the barber shop is called "a close shave for duck," the engine who fell in the mud is gordon and the epsiode where he fell into the ditch is called "off the rails" the episode where gordon crashes through a wall is "a better view for gordon"
