Is token is shared between all masters of the building like for example if there are two routers both have there own slaves then is it necessary for them to share single token? according to my understanding they must have their own token which is single/unique within a unique master slave network.. i am confused
Well explained So only building controller BC can be master Advanced application controller AAC & advanced specific controller ASC can only be slave 0-127 ,127- 256 is it MAC address or device id address.?
Hi Salim, B-BC belongs to DDC controllers which are capable of taking IO points. That cannot be used BACnet MSTP. It will be either BACnet/IP or BACnet/LON. BACnet MSTP is used for ASC or AAC controllers which has very low power consumption. B-RTR Bacnet routers are required to connect the MSTP devices to BACnet/IP backbone. Both ASC & AAC controllers can be configured for both Master as well as Slave. Since slave devices have disadvantage, all controllers are configured as Master devices. Address range 0-255 (not 256 sorry) is the device id which needs to be set on the MSTP devices. Hope this helps. Please share this video and subscribe to our channel. Thank you.
Hi Malik.. thanks for your feedback.. sure will upload more videos on BMS. Please keep supporting by subscribing to the channel and sharing the videos.
Hi Joel, your request is noted. Just for your info, BACnet IP is used only in the BMS system as it is the preferred communication protocol for the BMS system. However OPC stands Open Platform communication which is developed originally to integrate different vendors Industrial Automation Systems.

Yes.. each master will send token to the slave which is passed on to each slave..
Great videos….what book do you recommend reading to learn more about BacNet MSTP, BacNet IP?
