I was born in the late 1960s in America. Doctors told my mother not to breastfeed and to use formula instead (breastfeeding was considered “dirty”). Guess what, my brother and I both grew up to have serious “auto immune” diseases. He died from it. I know a large part of the cause; we were supposed to prepare the gut with this natural medicine and food. And after that last “campaign” by the medical officials, from 2020 to now, I have lost my ability to believe in regular medical doctors. Colostrum has been helping my gut after even the first time I took it.
Since I was in my 30's, I assumed I had a milk allergy, a few years ago, I learned about raw milk and raw milk colostrum. Turns out I wasn't allergic to dairy, but the pasteurization process. The farm encourages customers to come and observe a milking session. They are very careful about cleaning and drying the teets, I feel like these raw dairy products helped with my leaky gut and RA. I buy the colostrum and place it into ice cube trays and then freeze them that way, when I am making a smoothie, I take out my colostrum cubes and add one or two to the smoothie. Frozen strawberries covers up any flavor.
Thank you.. I’ve started to look into colostrum after having gut issues for 3-4 years. I was mind blown when you mentioned steroid & NSAID use as this is exactly where my issues started. Thank you for the info

Dear Dr. Sung, as I was listening to you explain about the importance of breast milk for the newborn... I got so emotional... when I gave birth to my daughter, I had already decided I wanted to breastfeed her for as long as possible (it went solely on for a year) and it reminded me the instance she was brought to me, it took a little time, but I understood we two were trying to do what is right until it happened and it is the most wonderful experience in my life and worth all the little downsides too, because I knew I was giving my daughter the very best for her little body. We also faced very fun instances I won't go into detail here! I am grateful and proud that we women have been blessed with the ability to feed our babies with all they need and in doing so we are helping our bodies too!! It is precious. I did not know all the in depth details, which when learning about them through you, that is what made me very emotional, happy and proud too. Thank you for all this information, which I hope it encourages women, those who can breastfeed their babies, to do it, and do it joyfully knowing they are giving their babies the very best food ever!! Wholeheartedly thank you Dr. Sung.
Excellent explanation Dr.Sung! Why and how did society decide pharmacoligical substances are healthier? On the farm, farmers use either frozen colostrum, colostrum from another farmer's cow, or goat's milk if the cow has expired in order to save the calf. Without any of these, it's likely the calf will not survive. Colostrum is gold. Thank you for enlightening the importance of colostrum and breastfeeding.
I was a governess and baby nurse when I was younger. (a baby nurse doesn't do any nursing not sure why they cal it that) Some moms are not able to breast feed.
@The One and only Pinky Pinky: In the olden days, what you are you referring to as a "baby nurse" was more commonly referred to as a "wet nurse." A wet nurse is a woman who is lactating, but who is not that baby's birth mother/biological mother. So a wet nurse perform the same duties as a nanny, except that it addition, she nurses the baby. This was very common in the olden days, going back to the times of Moses & before. In more modern times, it was very common amongst European royalty to have wet nurses /nannies, who nursed the babies for the queen &/or other members of the Royal family. Of course, this same practice was common during the slavery era, mainly the South, where black enslaved women would perform the duties of a wet nurse for the plantation owner's offspring. Even today, in modern times, one can occasionally find a wet nurse for hire. 😄 When I went back to work after the birth of my 2nd child, after using up my 8-week paid maternity leave, I wanted to continue nursing my son. Which was quite challenging because I had a 3-hour daily commute plus working 2 jobs (totalling 60 hours/week), so I found a home daycare mom in the vicinity of my (1st) job so that I could nurses him right when I dropped him off (before work), then go to nurse him on my lunch break, & then, in the evening, I would nurse him again at the babysitter's house, before my long 1.5 hour drive home. This particular home daycare mom offered wet nurse services, which I though was quite cool, although I preferred for my son to have my milk only. So, in order to provide milk for him during the hours I was away, I would go into the ladies' room (gross!) to pump my milk which I then put into the freezer at work.

Hi Dr. thank you for this video. I just started taking this 3 days ago and I’ve been having stomach pains and trouble digesting. Wondering if there is an adjustment period or if this is a sign of milk allergy. Please help. I did lower the dose days 2 and 3 and it’s better but bloating and discomfort is present. Thank you 🙏🏼
I heard that quality matters, I started a week ago with no problems. I am taking the brand Armra and people with dairy issues mentioned that this brand doesn't bother them. I hope this help.😊
Dr. Sung, It is important to note that colostrum begins being produced 2 - 3 months prior to birth. After the baby's birth, colostrum is produced for *only* 2 - 3 days, after which it begins converting to regular breast milk. For those new mothers, who for some reason cannot nurse their babies, they should *absolutely* make a point to give the newborn baby at the very least the 2 - 3 days' worth of colostrum. Not only is the colostrum rich in all the nutrients you have mentioned, but it contains invaluable *antibodies* to every illness and/or disease the mother has ever had in her life (this is called "natural immunity"), plus any & all immunity she has acquired through vaccines & immunizations (this is known as "acquired immunity"). So for instance, when my last 2 babies were breastfed, they received passive immunity to chicken pox (which I had had as an adult, several years earlier), plus, through the colostrum, they received passive immunity to any other immunity which I had acquired over my lifetime. For this reason alone, all new mothers should be *strongly* encouraged to see that their newborn babies receive at least a full supply of their own mother's colostrum. [NOTE: Colostrum obtained from a surrogate source would not contain the same unique blend of antibodies, custom-made by the birth mother's body, to provide the newborn baby with complete immunity for the first few months of his or her life, until the baby's own immune system becomes fully operational.]

Or the milk will lose all good bacteria and enzymes that beneficial for gut I found some store sell raw cow milk,, here in Saudi Arabia What do you think , should I boil the milk or drink as it is (raw) to benefit from it
Does cooked cow's first milk lose all its benefits? I can only find it cooked in the form of a "cheese". I think the farmers don't want to sell raw milk. Pasteurized milk might be a new thing in shops, but we've always been cooking milk for both adults and children in porridge or to extend its life when refrigeration wasn't so good. "Colostrum" is a scientific word that might encourage people to go vegan. Beestings, lol.
