Watching this now brings me back to when i was 13 years old, the very early 80s, dark winter nights in the north coast of Ireland She was a relevation, l genuinely loved Toyah...still do...❤

WOW!! I’ve always loved this song, but never seen this before. What a great performance, and looking spectacular too. Love the hair, the makeup and the outfit. Best thing I’ve seen in ages. Such a brilliant song, off an equally brilliant album. Anthem is one of my all time favourite albums, I listened to it constantly. Until The Changeling came out, and then I listened to that constantly. Still do!

There are hundreds of billions of sun's and hundreds of billions of planets in our galaxy, the Milky Way.
There are hundreds of billions of galaxies in the observable universe.
We are not alone.
Totally agree, approx 200 billion in our own Milky Way, a somewhat average galaxy, with one very ordinary star which we orbit. It would be wonderful if we could find even microbial life on some of the outer planets or more likely their moons. A fantastic song of course.

Fascinating to hear about the influences and inspirations behind the lyrics, I’ve always loved Toyahs lyrics, but they are often mysterious and lyrical and slightly stream of consciousness, so they can’t be simply interpreted in an obvious, literal way. They are more about evoking dreamlike imagery, evoking strange or alien places and landscapes, and otherworldliness. Always thought Toyah has been hugely underrated. Hearing that Burroughs, Ray Bradbury, Arthurian legend, were influences is really interesting, and makes sense. Dreamy, strange and magical.
