Hii i know im not her but i started working at one a little less than a month ago so this is my experience so far (context: i work in singapore within the central business district- many offices, banks, that kind of stuff. the occasional tourist/foreigner) I know these are going to sound pretty negative but theyre just the cons. i love my job so far and am really looking forward to learning new things 💕 hope this helps :P - standing. especially in one place for very long (e.g. the ordering kiosk) - ✨back pain✨ same reason as above + working at the pearl machine (we make the pearls daily from scratch cuz freshness and theres a different flavour every day. after mixing the ingredients they go through this pasta machine-looking thingy) - clicking the ordering kiosk buttons in the right order so that the people making the drinks wont get confused (i can’t make drinks yet because im new) - trying to find a gap between walk-in customers to key in delivery orders. - peak hour/fridays/public holidays = more clueless new customers, less opportunity to take breaks, more likely to spill liquids on the countertops - people who order both drinks at the same time without waiting for me to key in specifics for one (these are usually millenials. men who work in office jobs as bankers). usually i am able to catch both properly but if its peak hour/hour 3 of being assigned to take orders/ive been thrown off because of a tiny mistake i made with another customer’s order, I WILL panic and screw up because i am always anxious to begin with - people who keep switching between drinks. like ok u should order a drink u will be comfortable with. but i had someone change their drink BACK to the first option right as the receipt was printed out so i had to rekey everything and get someone to void the order since idk how to do that
@@nathatleue thank you so much for taking your time to reply!! I will keep that in mind😊 Btw, what were the questions you were asked during your interview?
I rlly enjoyed working there so challenges weren’t many! It’s a pretty easy job to pick up and I had too much of a fun time to find any challenges. As for cons, I wish my pay was higher but that’s about it
Hey, I love your video! I've always dreamed of starting my own Boba shop and I'm currently looking to open a shop in Mexico... I saw in a previous comment that you don't give consultation but could I just ask you some things about the process of making the Boba?? It would really help! If not then don't worry
it really depends on the boba! but you can find a general recipe and how-to on Google and fix things according to how you want your boba to turn out! sorry if this isn’t a helpful reply, I can’t share Dingtea’s recipe or how they cook it
I did! I’ve had a couple jobs before this and they were all customer/food service based. Don’t sell yourself short bc you don’t have prior experience, you got this! I hope you get the job (:
I recently got a job at a boba shop, and I didn’t have prior work experience in the industry :)! You can do it!. Although I do have retail experience from volunteering.
Me:*puts the boba and pours the tea then a ice* Me:*adds the milk and a sugar* Me:*puts the boba cap then shakes it* Me:*gets an straw then give it to costumer* Jasmine milk tea boba
Question: can ur job be making the drinks or do you have to be a cashier and the cashier also makes the drinks cuz I’m not good with customers. I just want to make drinks bc it’s cool idk
Usually you switch back and forth between making drinks and taking orders. It comes with the job so whoever can get to the customers first usually takes the orders
I’m moving back to Miami I’m saving money for my dream car and then house and then i get engaged with my boyfriend I’m so excited yeah i can’t wait to make bubble tea 😄❤️
Me:*puts the green tea KitKat then puts milk* Me:*adds the tea then puts the boba in the boba cup* Me:*pours the milk tea then add a boba cup* Me:*shakes the boba then adds the straw with boba* Matcha milk tea boba
this was so relaxing
Thank you (‘: I’m glad you found some peace from it
love cafe vlogs!!!
you’re so underrated!
I really want to work at some kind of boba chain in the near future. What are challenges you face or cons of working at a boba store?

I really enjoyed it so it wasn’t for me but sometimes closing late shifts can be tiring :(
I am starting a bubble tea shop in Hemet. Can I pay you as a consultant for a few days?
I am not the person you are looking for as a consultant but thank you for thinking so highly of me! I'll respectfully decline.
