Hey everyone, we got an Einstein here!
I believe Sophie is leaving a clue of us. In the first announcement of his kidnapping, it was said Tom was wearing one of his own t-shirts. Now he is wearing a Brook shirt. I believe this is a very obvious clue that Brook is behind Tom's kidnapping. Anther reason for why I believe this is because Brook did not seem too concerned about Tom's whereabouts when the news agency interview her. Tom's message in this video also indicates that someone, who believes they are not getting enough recognition on the show has kidnapped him. Those are just a few things I personally picked up on. Absolutely wonderfully written Sophie! I love it!
But it could be a trick, too make us think it was brooke. Remember the girl that Tom was talking to in France? I think it is her because barely any one talks about her, and tons of people talk about brooke.

Tom is the most beloved character because he's not like everyone else. All the other characters were somehow pulled into pool of popularity. TOO MUCH popularity. It turned them into something they're not, but Tom always stays true to himself, even if he is kinda stupid. But that's another reason why people love him so much. His stupidity is just... Well, come on now people, it's adorable. :P
And yes I get Sage isn't necessarily all that bad either but he's just too much of a bone head to get the same love and adoration that Tom gets. -_-
We'll start loving the other characters when they make themselves more lovable. Case closed.
