Shaina Taub Intros SUFFS & Nikki M. James Performs for the 2021 MacDowell National Benefit

Tony Award winner Nikki M. James performs "Wait My Turn," a song from the new musical SUFFS, by songwriter, composer, and MacDowell Fellow Shaina Taub (12).
James's performance was part of the 2021 MacDowell National Benefit, and she stars as journalist and civil rights leader Ida B. Wells in the world premiere production of the work, coming to Public Theater in New York in March 2022.

I saw SUFFS yesterday and Nikki M. James is amazing in the show. This song was incredibly powerful and brought me to tears each time she sang it. Bravo on a story that needs to be told.
