i just got ksp 1, i thought about going for 2 but to be honest befor i even knew anything about the differences i went for ksp1 because 2 was so new i figured i would wait and im glad i did. Besides the obvious like better grapics i can sure say as a super new player i do envy the nicer UI ksp2 has to offer, other then that i dont see anything or have seen anything to make me feel like it has anything new to offer and better graphics is kind of a niche thing considering the type of game it is as well as being played mostly in space. Depending on where they go with this game, its updates and features i may just pass on it completely.
Is that a plume mod for ksp 1?
yeah looks like it
I tried to remove all the visual mods and must’ve missed one, that’s annoying
Yeah, "Stock Waterfall Effects"
Oh, youre asking about in this video, sorry, I'm not about video
Its still in early access, and I hope graphics gets even better and game gets more optimized
i love ksp2 i already have a lot of hours on it and i love it and how it sounds and looks but the one thing i dont like is how the smoke from soild rocket bosters look like it doestn stay for a long time and also dosent seem to curve when you move your vessle it just looks very static
Not More Than 48 That's For Sure
An interesting fact, if you install a couple of mods on csp 1, you get csp 2, but at the same time you will not have 20 fps on minimum settings
In Fact it looks better
TBH I like the music from ksp 1 better, it has some more a special meaning as well as me and my Dad used to play this for hours together, and I also just think it is more fitting.
waited for the opportunity to build micro apparats, but received 2 tons of graphonyum
I can understand people being a bit angry with the bugs and problems with ksp2, but some seem to over react and have a high expectation for a game that just released for "Early Access". I have high hopes for the game and I don't really focus on a ton of the bugs and or just experience some of the bugs myself when playing as others do, but I believe in a few weeks or a months time the game will be much better and be ready to bring the promises made that were shown in the trailers.
Is it really that it has no atmospheric reentry animation?
Not yet, I believe it’s currently disabled so it does exist and will be added in the future
Well here we are 10 years later still moding in reentry effects and heating. Progress bitches!!!!
Kerbal space program 2 sounds and looks more inmersive, like so vivid, i cant wait till they add the rest of the updates like Science
Video: Graphics comparison
Me after watching the video: "Daaamn, the sound design people got serious this time"
There are things called mods that make it 1000% more realistic than ksp2
I’m aware of that I had to uninstall about 30 to make this video, I thought it would be a fairer to see a close to base comparison
@@TropicalTech2 you forgot to uninstall realplume
Why does it seem that Juno: New Origins on Ipad pro graphic look alot nicer then this. I dont have the game so I wont quickly judge it.
Why are you not showing FPS? That would have been helpful.
Because it’s supposed to be a graphics comparison rather than performance for this one
i'm sorry but with a few mods KSP 1 still looks better than KSP 2, also 1:18 skipping the re-entry so we don't see there is no thermodynamics on atmospheric re-entry, so many core elements missing or broken as hell. it's a mess.
I am still so mad that I sadly can’t play this, I don’t have the money for a ps5 or pc. So here I am, have been waiting for 3 years for this game and now I need to wait even longer
Impressive, very nice, now lets see with some mods
Better compare ksp 2 and ksp 1 with all top graphics mods
If you were gonna add a plume mod to KSP 1, You shouldve used waterfall, would have done it way more justice
It should be a stock comparison. It's only fair.
I think it's crazy how they haven't improved any of the gameplay, they just added new sounds and graphics, and then broke the rest of the gameplay. Still no water physics.
Yeah, they'll add interstellar etc.. soon but its extremely underwhelming, that along with the extremely bad performance they simply shouldnt have released it this early
@@degenetron7590 Makes you wonder what they have been working on for the past 4+ years
@@addmix early access should be for discovering bugs and the audience to give general feedback. But the game is in such a shitstate, they should fix the obvious first before letting people their hands on it
@@degenetron7590 yeah fr.
@@addmix if I had to guess what they were working on, I’d say they probably screwed up and were working on everything at once. All the promised features are probably half done, but the highly distributed dev cycle resulted in things taking longer than they should have.
KSP 1 Much better with mods
I feel like they focused more on graphics than funtionality and physics. I prefer KSP1 with the rights mods it looks jist as good. Maybe later if KSP2 gets better I will get it
No re-entry heat vfx on 2
I think the devs have it disabled currently but it will come at some point
No matter how much flack they get because of performance issues, people need to remember what ksp1 was like when it first released compared to now.
So what is that an excuse when they charge 50 bucks ? and the team is way bigger ? in interviews they even sayd they played multiplayer and had alot of fun. main dev even said in Matts interview that the dev's play too mutch its becomming a problem. Sounds more like a lie with all the bugs and the crappy preformance. I hope the game will be good but that dosent mean i trust any devs. They will do everything for money its a company ;) and not a football player.

KSP 2 looks friggin beautiful, but they do not justify the high specs, I hope things improve
Ofcourse they will, it's an EARLY access game
lets see paul allens FPS
the team did phenomenally on graphics and audio. I hope they're able to flesh out all the bugs and bring back useful features and get rid of some of the new annoying ones they added (looking at you parts manager)
oh yeah and work on performance. apparently for some people it works like a charm and others are watching a powerpoint presentation
i think the parts manager is pretty good, mostly. but i just feel like its too big and clunky, and very laggy currently.
@@sakexz it can definitely be useful but lags way too much and I just wish I could open the options for one part rather than having to open a full bulky menu of every part on the ship and find it there
I just think it should be like
right click a part to get it's options but have an option at the bottom or on a sidebar to open the manager
Honestly I disagree on the graphics. Sound design is amazing yes it that’s one of the things that has my eye but the graphics are extremely hit or miss. Sometimes it looks pretty good, close to a modern game. A lot of times it looks like a game that released 8 years ago or something. But still, graphics aren’t important and can be easily modded in the future, I’m just waiting for colonies/interstellar
@@Happyhenzo fair enough
I remember seeing someone adding volumetric clouds to KSP 1 on Eve I think, and damn it looked really good. I forgot where I found it but you can probably just look up ksp1 volumetric clouds to find it
i'm hoping this game gets a lot better over time, there's lots that needs to be improved but I have faith in the team to do it
damn looks good when your not on 15 fps the whole time
that's not a fair comparison. the ksp 1 video has mods.
what gpu
3070
How about a gameplay comparison 🤣
And now for a performance comparison 😂
Me gusto bastante más el 1 que el 2. El uno tiene efectos atmosféricos que no tiene el 2 y si bien este último tienen mejores gráficos salvo por los del agua y los efectos de sonido no valen la pena el 2.
Bruh the game is not finished. These things WILL be in the game
@@erod7316 bruh the game got delayed 3 years and it released in early access like this?
If only the game didn't lag like hell
I prefer the plastic felling of ksp 1 more than the metalic one of ksp 2
great video, now i am gonna cry because my pc is a trash can for ksp2
Ksp 1 with mods is better but ksp 2 is new and still requires some work. Personally I refunded it and will wait. Ksp 2 is a diamond in the rough. Although there is a lot of rough ATM.
This is why I’m not listening to any of the weird criticism right now. Besides the air effects which just aren’t present yet, the second game looks substantially better than the first game. And it all manages to perform pretty similarly to the first game if you ask me.
All of this while being in early access which if no one caught on, means we are essentially in Beta.
"And it all manages to perform pretty similarly to the first game if you ask me."..... what? no, no its not...at all...
@@spadesking8532 were you around when the first game came out?
We aren’t talking about current KERBAL one with mods and shit.
I mean when the first KERBAL came out. All of us not only had old as shit computers but the game wasn’t exactly perfect either. It performs pretty well.
On my shitty laptop the game was running at like 5 frames.
@@corybrown2197 I was around for that.... one major problem I see though, is, in its current state (not future), KSP2 is not worth $50 USD.... its like 7 major krakens just to Mun and back.... Steams EA rules simply state you price for what is there and working currently.
By this standard, the publisher is abusing steams EA policy. Like a good number of other pubs.... which also should be called out to "do better"
@@corybrown2197 Just an addition, I polled the discord community, it was 19 to 2, for broken EA rules... before it was removed... so seems not just imo..
@@spadesking8532 wow you are really that kind of petty huh?
Meh, something about the visual mechanics of the control surfaces are way too overdramatisized in the new one, it's way too oversaturated, engine plumes are too slow, I'd rather just have ksp1 with parralax 2.0, avp and waterfall effects and it looks way better
Well on 1080p its worse than minecraft, kinda sad.
I saw a few issues playing it last night, other than that the game is amazing
we've been waiting for this game for 11 years...
shame..
KSP 2 Is much more vibrant.
now do modded ksp1
ksp 1 with mods: Scatter, Eve, AVP, Parallax 10 times better, more beautiful and 2 times more FPS.
I just thought that at least someone would make such a video and here it is.... but to be honest KSP 2 is a huge spit in the face for 50 bucks
If they released it for 20 bucks, well 35 due to KSP being well-known, it would have been fair. But now it's a money grab. None of the promised or advertised features. I hope that they will complete their roadmap by next year.
Then don't pay it until it's out of Early Access. It's an Early Access game, you aren't paying for a full product. You're paying to be able to play it early and have the full product keep getting upgraded as it goes along. If you don't feel like it's worth it yet, then don't buy it.
you are paying to access the game in it's early development state. At 1.0 it will most likely still be 50 bucks that's why it's this price now, it would make little sense to sell the game cheaper now if the ppl who bought it now still keep the game at 1.0 and they then raise the price
@@BillyTubememe Do you understand what Early Access means? FFS
@@MuitoDaora 50 Euros for missing features?
To bad I can't get KSP 2: I have an X Box One. :(
The thing that annoyed my about KSP1 was how dark it was. Even in full sun my rocket was barely visible.
True that bothered me alot, but with some graphic mods its easily fixed, for instance planetshine will make work of that problem
KSP1 Best performance but low detail and KSP2 is Best Detail but low performance. in the future i think KSP2 can make Best performance.
You missed the bigger difference ! The number of bugs ;-)
... and fps
Really wish I bought KSP1 instead, 2 is a hot mess with broken physics, could’ve been enjoying KSP1 with mods :(
