Nice one Mak! Organza is an interesting material to work with - sure makes a durable fly! You don’t see that technique often. I frequently tie materials (beards, breathers, hackles, etc) at the beginning of the tying to hide the butt ends the way you did the beard and incorporate the bulk into the flies underbody... on this pattern I'd tie in the red Organza before wrapping the black. ;) Think that style of tying comes from the old days when threads were thicker - said by an old guy who still ties a lot of flies with 3/0 thread. LOL! Thanks for posting! ATB!
Thank you so much Hank, I totally agree, you can tie the way you it easy, I like to put beard first, and find it so easy, anyway thanks for the nice comment, I really appreciate that 😊😊
Hi Mak Thanks for your reply, much appreciated, but I can’t find this fly anywhere online. If you can let me know where to find them I’d be very grateful. Cheers. Bob.👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣
Thank you friend. It comes in small spools. You have to cut it from middle and pull out the long strands from middle. You can buy it from any craft shop
