I remember watching James Deane in the burnout box with the Worthouse S15 back then and i always found it really insane, lots of understeer in a way most people didnt do and making the car do other stuff that probably were more common in europe i guess. Cool topic as always, you and Aaron from Lonestar drift do the best "advanced drift stuff" videos.

Interesting topic and interesting to see that, even though Adam, Dean and you have basically the same car, you all have different burnout routines
Love this. So many people (including drivers) don't quite understand the nuances here. This should be a driver meeting video at competitions! haha helps everyone have a more consistent tire/car.
I encourage any fan to go to the bottom of FD's main page and read though the pro and pro spec's rulebook. Doesn't take a hateful amount of time.

Using tire warmers like in WEC or F1 might be expensive and questionable, but wouldn’t it help to save the tires from unnecessary wear and keep them in better shape for the battle?
You have to keep in mind how unpredictable drifting is. It'd be a huge pain to keep the tires warm right up until the time of the battle when there are things like omt's and track cleanups. Pretty much any motorsport that uses them has a pretty strict schedule, and they also expect to get more than two laps out of a set of tires. Its a much simpler, and fair process to just slap on some fresh tires and have the drivers heat them up when they are about to do the battle.
They just use hand ✋ warmers 🔥

No, no driver can there something about it in the rulebook I think.

What are your thoughts on tire warming blankets? Wouldn't that allow more consistent tire temps?
Wouldn’t scrub them, also not allowed. We don’t get an “out lap” to scrub.

Warmers are not allowed. You basically can't look at your tires wrong. Adjust the air pressure and walk away.
