Bill thanks for sharing. Love the old safety razor blade disposal.

Donald Raver I had to ask my Dad about that. He’s 67 and he’s barely remembers seeing that in hotel rooms! I thought it was awesome! So retro, but in a really cool kind of way.

The hiling is amazing. 2-4 hour hikes on most trails. More if you want more. Video coming Tuesday about Sharp Top. Probably my favorite hike this year. Pretty cool. The lodge is awesome. So retro, and located perfectly. LOVED IT. As far as Virginia is concerned, it's my favorite part of the Blue Ridge Parkway. But then again, I love the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Love this kind of thing, but more history would be even better!

The problem with history on this subject is how much of it is valid. I run into that a lot on these trips. You have old stories that turn out to be legend. The Natural Bridge is like that. There's an interesting legend there that was told for years, but it turns out, there's no real proof. Here in Virginia, you can't walk five feet without being somewhere historic. I could probably do a better job adding additional information.

@@BillMarion Understood, I see it constantly too. "Jesse James did this here or Billy the Kid slept there. But even that stuff is part if history, right? 😀

That's the plan! I need some dates. This place books quicky starting now, but especially during the fall.
