    My high school vocal teacher thought the same thing. She hated that I was most comfortable in both the Alto and Soprano range. She was able to make it so I could sing Bass and Tenor as well and forced me to sing Tenor whenever she could. I hated it. I prefer the falsetto area. In all male ensembles I always do the upper range. Like every boy band has.

      Raoul Trüeb Mitch Grassi does whistle notes when he's goofing around but I haven't heard him use them in a song. I don't know what it's called, but there's something tangible that I can feel when Mitch sings certain notes. I have heard of sound being used to effect the energy of a room or person.. and that's the best reference I have to explain what I'm referring to. I just know that I listen to specific parts of live performances (over and over again) by Mitch on purpose when I need to feel whatever is being triggered by that tone. It's like a healing energy. I'm not a nut. I promise!

    Please expand on this. I know that singers can expand their range some with training. But isn't a lot of their ability just built into their natural range and vocal box? Lots of women can't even hit some of these notes. Just how much of it is training vs. natural ability? I'm not trying to say that these people haven't worked hard or practiced. But I'm also aware that people have different ranges. I'm just trying to get a good idea of how far one can get with training.

    • @crydoesstuff9155
      @crydoesstuff9155 5 років тому +55

      hoosieraussis1 Training doesn't really work on range, it just allows you to support higher, thus allowing you to strain higher, so if you're a tenor, you might be able to support until Eb5, but that's probably all you can support up to, but you can strain about 5-6 notes higher than you can support, so in a way, you do increase your range, but you can't support or resonate above your type of range, understand?

    • @crydoesstuff9155
      @crydoesstuff9155 5 років тому +5

      I know how to whistle tho. I truly needs great control to achieve good whistle. Just remember to stop when it hurts your throat.. It's a sign your doing it wrong

    It is totally possible. I have a male friend that has the most beautiful voice ever! He sang opera at our school talent show, and needless to day he blew everybody out of the water, standing ovation!

    This is my favorite type of male singing voice. My top singers for this style are Brian McKnight, Adam Lambert and Darren Hayes. BEAUTIFUL voices!! I'd love to see you react to any of those artists :D Thanks for this video, because now I have new singers to check out!

    Lara Fabian was my icon when I used to sing. She was, for me, on the same level with Celine. I love both.

    Charice transitioned now known as Jake or something like that, it would have been cool if you had compared her pre and post transition vocals.
