He does that face when something is really good
I never listened to any of her songs before.
Until I watched the mlp movie.
when you’re a girl and these amazing guys can belt way higher than you
Julia Phillips but you can go lower than them ;)
Cloé Galipeau No dude wtf? Dimash's lowest is low baritone or high bass if im not mistaken. And most guys can easily reach baritone, even michael jacksom with those high ass speaking voice
@@Leon-xp2zb it was a joke- ;-;
Orang Aring Some can though, not everyone can go lowest to highest, but most people hit either or with enough practice.
He's a tenor with a wide range his tessitura is 100 % tenor

Tristan: I've met them with my own eyeballs.
Avery Futrelle 😂😂😂😂😂😂

As a Sia big fan, yes "the cracks" are what matters the most to me.
High notes to mean doesn't make me feel emotion like Sia's high notes + cracks does.
It means, that they are actually trying to go higher also she is vocal switching to different notes. Which is a reason why I love her and those lovely "cracks"
@@Kenzoo_spaz the voice cracks makes the dramatic song even more dramatic and I love it. It's like she's in pain when her voice cracks and break she makes me feel so emotional.

I know this video is all about Guys singing in a girls range. If this comment is seen could you maybe try and do a Girls sing in a guys range. Having a really low alto voice myself I would love to see some girls that sing in my range. This probably won't be seen but if so no pressure.🎶🎵🎹
Vicki Forringer same! Low alto here😃

Low alto present!
I just gave you the 200th like and it was so satisfying lmao
Go look at anime voice actors, there are plenty of girls who can voice for male characters
It’s so funny that everybody got this amazing singing setting, background and everything. And then comes Mitch Grassi completely covered in green face paint with Scott Hoying in a wig. (As the queens they are)
*People need to understand that there is more to singing than range, and that there is more to range, than just belting, or just one stereotypical placement* .
Spot on.

This Dimash guy was exceptional.
he is, you should watch some of his videos, mind blowing
Extraordinary 10s beyond exceptional I saw him live in London he was unbelievable.
Oh no, Tristan says he's nothing special.... clearly very threatened by his artistry.
Extraordinary 10s yeah he’s alright
You should really look him up he has brilliant performances...the one in the video doesn't no any Justice to his talent.
Avi Kaplan has left the chat..

mitch grassi enters the chat
Amanda Elliott thanks for that
Bro his Overtones are equal to mitch
His range is actually quite impressive though, it can get quite high for someone of his general comfort zone.
My high school vocal teacher thought the same thing. She hated that I was most comfortable in both the Alto and Soprano range. She was able to make it so I could sing Bass and Tenor as well and forced me to sing Tenor whenever she could. I hated it. I prefer the falsetto area. In all male ensembles I always do the upper range. Like every boy band has.
lmao why would she care just let people have fun and do their thing
So many teachers get stuck in a rut and think their way is the only way, and if you do something differently, it must be wrong.
Scott Now you can do it all, right? No, but that's lame.
they need to be alto or mezzo and learn technique to low their voices, for me is easy to go higher than go lower
I am a girl, but I have a HUGE vocal range. I can go so low that I sound like a boy. I am comfortable doing extremely high too. I have been compared to be having a vocal range similar to Brendon Urie (beebo 😍)
Listening to them hitting them high notes makes my throat hurts for them.

Omg! That happened to meeeeee!
If your throat hurts when you’re doing high notes then shouldn’t be doing them.
@Clouds we weren’t doing them we were just saying listening to them made out throats hurt for them 😂😂😂
After 19YearsLater I’m talking about the performers. If their voice hurts, then they shouldn’t be doing it.

I find it really cool that Dimash can his an E2-D8
His vocal fry actually takes him down to A1, making him even more impressive.
C2 without vocal fry, almost an octave lower than A2
@@justwantthebestvoice4492 the c2 was vocal fry if you're talking about sinful passion. he routinely goes down to an f2 in chest though. "your love" is one
babyswithrabies lower than F2 in chest definitely, can’t remember which song though.
@@justwantthebestvoice4492 i disagree. i've looked at his range videos a lot. as far as i know he's sang an f2 in chest twice and that's his limit. a g2 in ogni petra. i'm sure he can breath out an e2 maybe lower on a good day but as far as usable notes go an f2 is pushing it for his voice. if you find something that contradicts me that's fine, but until then it's definitely an f2.

Right!!
It's because he hasn't done a cover of any female singer hitting high notes! But we all know by his own songs that he can hit those notes 😉
Yeah.... 😢😢😢
People who sing lower notes should be represented it’s sad to see to really good low range singers not appreciated because low notes are hard too!!
True. But outside of popular culture they are. UA-cam have numerous videos with examples and tips on how to. Watch a few and they'll pop up in your recommendations. I get most impressed by those with great range. I strive to achieve that, but only when showering. No soundproof room for proper practice 😉
I saw Adagio and immediately thought Dimash
As a low bass, it kinda makes me sad how much your videos emphasize peoples' high ranges, or just on higher voices in general. No love for us low bois :(
For some of us, yeah. Those high ranges just are not possible. I can get a wavering, airy F5 at best. Now, you ask me for those C2s or even down to A1 on good days, shiiiiit man I gotchu
As a natural tenor I've always envied you low boys for the resonance you get. I start straining and gravel out around E2 and C2 is just a growly hiss. And I totally agree that there is too little rep from the baritones and basses.
Agree with Phillip the basses don’t get the shining moment they deserve
I’m not amazing low but I can compete with most baritones
I need to get my falsetto a lot smoother
A real pity to be honest because a low base is just so much more pleasant to listen to for me. High notes can be impressive but give me a deep low note? Oof.
Low bois are my favorite ♥️♥️♥️
I'd honestly rather be able to hit low notes rather than high.
All those singers are amazing but holy shit Mitch Grassi. 🤯🤭 I love him.
Kristen R ik! I commented ik bout him my room is themed off him 😂
Raoul Trüeb I'll have to look him up... Don't really know much about him.
Raoul Trüeb Mitch Grassi does whistle notes when he's goofing around but I haven't heard him use them in a song. I don't know what it's called, but there's something tangible that I can feel when Mitch sings certain notes. I have heard of sound being used to effect the energy of a room or person.. and that's the best reference I have to explain what I'm referring to. I just know that I listen to specific parts of live performances (over and over again) by Mitch on purpose when I need to feel whatever is being triggered by that tone. It's like a healing energy. I'm not a nut. I promise!
Maschelle Mashburn I can fucking relate! That boy's tone is just magical ❤
It's worth noting that in Defying Gravity, Mitch actually sung a higher note than Idina leading up to the final drawn out note. The broadway version has been done several different ways but very few Elphaba's have done the version Mitch used.

Lol I'm Filipino. And I think i sing decently....but if you keep trying I bet you can sing beautifully 💕
Those guys are incredible omgg I used to be so obsessed with Mitch's Defying Gravity cover alsooo you should do a reaction to Jessie J cause she's incredible and has such a different style
Rosie He has actually just search up "Vocal Coach Reaction to Jessie J", should be the first video you find.
omgg yeah I didn't realise he did it so recently aha I thought he did it a while back 🤦🏼♀️😂
Yeah! I know he has done one, but there is soo many good ones, and I would like to see one that’s not just practicing
Mitch's Defying Gravity is amazing it always gives me chills
Alex Newell has one of the most powerful voices I've heard.
Yeah indeed, but he has a soprano voice actually, his lowest note is around D3 which is not low for a male
What about Brendon Urie
I thought it was a girl tbh lmao
He’s a diva :/
He's not, Freddy was or James Brown not him/her LOL
Have you reacted to Dimash Kudaibergen yet?
If not, please react to Sinful Passion, the official one on his channel.
Heath Ford he has, and he says dimash uses auto tune, but deleted the video afterwards
Auto tune? In which song does he think that???
It was Sinful passion actually
Probably too jealous of Dimash to react to him honestly
There are tons of performances of Dimash singing that show his skill and beautiful voice. I believe every studio performance is doctored with all singers so that is not applicable
Scott and mitch are just icons 😂
The only part of the title I saw in my suggestions was vocal coach reacting to male singers hitting female singers
legit thought it was gonna be a rant video about how dickheads like chris brown still have careers lmao
Caleb Hyles is honestly one of my favorite male singers.
He also killed it on Defying Gravity, y'all should check it out!
But he uses autotune, so it really shouldn't be in the video. Some others probably too.
Leonie every remotely professional singer uses auto tune, doesn’t mean they don’t have talent
@@leoniek6351 I’m Pretty Sure Autotune Is Used To Perfect What Is Already There, Not Hide Bad Singing, If That’s What You Think. Ronnie Radke Said That If You Are A Bad Singer And You Use Autotune, You Are Still A Bad Singer
Just With Autotune
Tristan to male singers: theres nothing special about their voice.. it’s just a lot of practice.
Tristan to female singers: HOW TF DOES SHE DO THAT?! SHES SO GOODDD QUEEENNN
It's only about Dimash. He doesn't like him. Having shit boiling in his ass looking at Di. And his face...hahaha)))
Tristan is good but he made a big mistake. It happens. Hope he won't do the same in the future.
Ehh you misrepresented what tristan said, he said there isn't anything particularly special about these guys. Meaning they aren't prodigies that are complete exceptions or something. They are talented guys with good voices who trained like hell to be able to hit the ranges they do without jacking up their voices. Except mitch, as high as that guy can sing with zero effort I swear his balls never emerged from his body (and not meant as an insult) lol.
kylethekidable Dimash is a prodigy man
@@warcross0429 Dimash can only sing high. Everything else about him is average. Who cares if he can sing D8, nobody wants to hear kettle noises and be like: "oMg KeTtLe nOiSeS YaSsS"
@@turd5854 bro literally what you said is pure bullshit, if that shit you just said makes you sleep at night continue saying it
My favourite reaction video. I love all of these singers, absolutely killing it! .
5:58 i can't even whistle that high, shit
Jahh, the Juvenile don't feel bad I can't either 😂😂
Me neither lol. Just a few people can do that :l
I can scream it but can't control it lol😂
Ha ha ha ha "cough"
Jahh, the Juvenile i can go up there but i barely can’t control it. the impressive thing is not the whistle itself, it’s the control he has over it and how he has mastered it. that’s what made mariah carey famous.
MIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and oml Scott’s hair in that video 😂
IKR and scott is just looking at Mitch like "wtf?"
I had goosebumps the entire video!! Mad props to all those guys they SLAY it!!
I'm officially obsessed w this channel and Im ready for singing lessons 😍
Chase Holfelder is freakin' amazing. I love his major-to-minor covers, and his "Dangerous Woman" rendition is spotless.
Someone who I never see hyped is Youssef Qassab; his range is insane! Don't think he even knows what a wrong note is, lol. His cover of "She's Gone" by Steelheart gives me chills.
The high note in chase's dangerous woman is INSANE
Too much post processing though
Lol Tristan looked so uncomfortable when chase came on 😂
Pellek is absolutely amazing at singing in a female range, and he’s pretty easy on the eyes as well ;) How funny that this video was made only 2 days after I watched the video you were reacting to!
i feel like whenever tristan likes something he makes a disgusted face
Okay chase holfelders range is insane. I've watched just about all his videos. I love when he does major key to minor key. It's beautiful and angelic
Please expand on this. I know that singers can expand their range some with training. But isn't a lot of their ability just built into their natural range and vocal box? Lots of women can't even hit some of these notes. Just how much of it is training vs. natural ability? I'm not trying to say that these people haven't worked hard or practiced. But I'm also aware that people have different ranges. I'm just trying to get a good idea of how far one can get with training.
hoosieraussis1 Training doesn't really work on range, it just allows you to support higher, thus allowing you to strain higher, so if you're a tenor, you might be able to support until Eb5, but that's probably all you can support up to, but you can strain about 5-6 notes higher than you can support, so in a way, you do increase your range, but you can't support or resonate above your type of range, understand?
That was a very good explanation. Thank you!
M4st3rM!nd this is a very good explanation indeed, I was wondering if it's the same for if you want to expand your range into lower notes? I just find it incredible when female singers sing in a low tone and I'd love to be able to do that
Lou LittleSanity It actually does, though it's a bit difficult since you have to make your voice fuller when you go down your natural lower tessitura
Well all the singer's were using their mixed voice (where you mix their talking voice and head voice) and that makes higher notes a lot easier. Mitch grassi at the end was using a mask placed head voice where he basically compresses his head voice to make it sound more like mixed voice
it's like how people say that women cant sing low notes! It's 100% possible! I know girls that can sing lower than some guys! like I know some guys that can sing higher than girls! It's all about the training you do and what you work on!!!
Exactly!! I have a four octave range and can go extremely low. Also - I can... kind of? Do a whistle tone? I can do whistle tone notes, but it’s more screeching, haha.
Brendon urie can do both😂
Watch You and I performance of Mariah Carey. The gurl can hit extremely low notes
4:05 Got me dying! He’s interrupted by the strangest note but just smiles. Can’t stop watching it over and over. Also, PHILIPINO!!! 😂
Because he doesn't like Dimash. Note the comment he makes about them being nothing special exactly when Dimash is singing. I wonder what he has against Dimash.
Racism! Tristan is hater
I’m a girl and it’s a struggle for me to hit high notes I can’t even what am I doing wrong-
Bad genetics.
Try the low notes. Alto incoming.
@@lemonshrikecatworthy7964 I wouldn't call them bad genetics, just different ones.
Datona, if you are trying to learn to sing a vocal coach is paramount. Us rando's on the internet can't really know your exact situation. Until you can get a coach just try to avoid strain, always warm up, and sing songs that are comfortable for you.
Try opening your mouth more, not lifting your shoulders when you breathe and opening the back of your mouth like your yawning when you sing

You have to practice.. if you're not interested in singing well..

“There’s nothing special about these male singers-“
Oh yes other than DIMASH HAVING THE HIGHEST VOCAL RANGE OF EVERYONE ON THIS EARTH-
(I mean yes he did have a ton of practice with like both parents being vocal coaches I think but seriously guys check him out, Ive never heard anyone come as close to him as range except maybe that one Russian singer I forgot his name- V something?)
You seem to be forgetting Tim Storms. He's got ten octaves (G5 to negative G5)
Dimash, (I am counting vocal fry) has seven octaves (A1-D8)
I have ten octaves, and unlike Tim, mine are all above the negative octaves (A0-G#8)
vitas
Lemonshrike Catworthy but can you sing as well as him? 🤪
@@lemonshrikecatworthy7964 notes that low shouldn't count...and neither should vocal fry really. i'm a tenor and i can slow down my vocal fry nearly off the keyboard...it's not that impressive. a1-a0 also doesn't equal a4-a5. from a1 to a0 your vocal cords have to come together 40 times less...from a4 to a5 your vocals cords have to come together 880 times more...the higher your vocal range the larger it is in frequency or hertz. tim storms is cool but the dude doesn't even really project an e2...he's like a lighter bass...he can just control the speed of his vocal fry really well and take it down super low. in my opinion ranges should be broken down and the important bits should just be your bottom chest note to your top head voice or flageolet note. and should probably be broken down even further into your chest voice (and chest dominate mix) basically the range you can sing in with power.
@@lemonshrikecatworthy7964 Dimash is about more than just vocal range, it's skill....
I found your channel just today and i absolutely love it 😁😁 here i am after like 14 videos ☺
Its odd to know theres even a bias. In the motown era it was considered not only desirable but coveted for men to sing high 🤷🏽♀️
Quick question: How many octaves is it normal to be able to hit as an untrained singer??
I'm an untrained singer who has no experience singing that has been using Sing by Smule for a little over 2 years to try and learn to sing, and my range is C2 to A5. Thats one note short of 4 Octaves. I just don't have the courage or knowledge to actually use it, but I can do it without pain.
I am an untrained singer and I can hit 3. Sometimes I can hit really low but going high is very difficult. I definitely want to get some classes because since I am already a pretty good singer with an ok range, classes would really help. If you are an untrained singer I would recommend some professional classes. :)
I can hit 3.5 octaves and my voice is fully developed so it just depends. Average is 2 octaves though
2 octaves
Carolina C oof that is as large as whitney houston. Is that mostly in your head or chest voice?
Omg I've been watching your videos for months now, and this is literally the first time I've realized what your outro is 😂🤦🏽♀️ Tri-STANS duhhh.
have you ever reacted to Nick Pitera singing Hallelujah in 3 octaves? its beautiful!
Please react to some Celine dion !! She just sang “can’t help falling in love” again in her Asian tour (you’re probably familiar with her iconic run and g5) and it’s amazing at the age of 50 !!!!!
Yeah I used to sing alto, but I trained myself (mostly through musicals) to sing higher and now I consider myself to be a soprano, so it just takes a lot of practice and now i can casually sing notes I couldnt do with "proper posture" so always keep going!!!!
I thought Jeremy Jordan was going to make an appearance for a second and I'm so disappointed now!
Thank you , I love your UA-cams

Piet Arion One Moment in time is amazing. His whistle at the end gives me chills everytime
I tried to hit whistle notes. I swear any male who hits them are a freak!
They’re horrible to learn. I only hit them when I was performing Messiah at my college
Paste Eater wow at least you hit them! I have a pretty strong falsetto (because that's all I used to sing in growing up) but those notes are jist well out of my range my voice just disappears if I try to hit them lol
Lordu agree!!!
You just need to try them lower and once you learn, you can go higher.
I know how to whistle tho. I truly needs great control to achieve good whistle. Just remember to stop when it hurts your throat.. It's a sign your doing it wrong
It is totally possible. I have a male friend that has the most beautiful voice ever! He sang opera at our school talent show, and needless to day he blew everybody out of the water, standing ovation!
Are you from Kazakhstan? I know an amazing singer who used to do some opera called Dimash Kudaibergen
all of them are so good!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy shit. i cried. This is sooo good. Those high notes. oh my god.
This is my favorite type of male singing voice. My top singers for this style are Brian McKnight, Adam Lambert and Darren Hayes. BEAUTIFUL voices!! I'd love to see you react to any of those artists :D Thanks for this video, because now I have new singers to check out!
Lara Fabian was my icon when I used to sing. She was, for me, on the same level with Celine. I love both.
