I'm glad they at least mention him. He filled in and made good music with them. He allowed us to keep getting new blink-182. Matt deserves a lot more recognition and it would've been really cool if they still played with Tom and Matt at the same time.
Its total class that they play the Skiba songs. There was a period where Tom seemed to be a little more ego than anything and in this reunion it seems like that went away. Hats off to all of them for recognizing this part of their history.

The fact is matt skibas a beast song writer and a POET. Alkaline trio have barely written even one bad song. God damnit is perfect , from here to infirmary, Maby I’ll catch fire, good mourning, it keeps going on and on every album is amazing.
If they would have given Matt more freedom and input I think the albums would have been solid. The few tracks he clearly got to do were the only good ones on the albums.

They used to tour with eachother back in the day. First blink show I ever saw , Alk3 opened for them. That’s why when Matt joined , I knew it made sense , and it wasn’t my first time hearing about skiba , I had already been listen to trio for 20 years.

If you haven't heard From Here to Infirmary or Good Mourning then look there first. Then listen to Crimson and My Shame is True. They honestly should be right up there and more known than they are.

I couldn’t imagine trying to step in like Matt did. Just added a new layer to the bands history that I will enjoy for years to come. Matt wasn’t Tom and Tom isn’t Matt.
I'm very bummed at them for ditching Matt out of sudden, all tho i do understand the circumstances. They wanted Tom to join again. But there was a point where Matt said that he has no idea if he is in the band or not. And it feels like fans are praising blink without even realizing that Matt was there for such an long time.

There are a handful of songs from the Matt era that are really good like No Heart To Speak Of, 6/8, Heaven, Misery, and Happy Days
Heaven is top tier. I like Black Rain as well, although it doesn't hold that Blink vibe at all.
