Hey hey! I was wondering, how do you backup your Affinity files? Is there such a thing as Affinity file type? For Illustrator it would be .AI, for Procreate .procreate. What is it for Affinity? Thanks for sharing! ☺️
Hm, this is absolutely not what I had expected from the pen tool on iPad where the primary input is the Apple Pencil. If you know Concepts, this is what I am expecting as for vector-based contour/tracing design on a pen-enabled device. I am searching if Affinity for IPAD can be a replacement of the brilliant and inexpensive Concepts app? Concepts cannot replace AD, sure.
The daddy of all vector drawing apps is Adobe Illustrator - which is a very powerful but geeky program; and most of its competitors closely emulate this technical approach, including Affinity Designer. Concepts (by TopHatch) uses a lot of the power of a vector drawing app, but hides most of the geekiness. If you like that approach, stick with Concepts, imho. A.D. has a lot more features, suitable for professional/commercial graphics work. It can do most of what Concepts can do - but with a much bigger learning curve, since it doesn't shield you from all the underlying complexity.
Thank you so much for this tutorial
In the version of Affinity Designer that I have I don’t see an edit mode available as I use the pen tool.
The little options at the bottom..can you explain those??
Thank you
