  • What are some Aboriginal words I can use in a day-to-day conversation?
Sounds like a question for Ask Aunty!
Aunty Munya Andrews is an Aboriginal Elder from the Kimberly region of Western Australia. Her life's purpose is to share her cultural knowledge and leave a legacy of Dreamtime wisdom for generations to come.
In Evolve Communities cultural awareness training workshops, participants are encouraged to ask any question without fear of ridicule, shame or blame - and now you can ask those questions too!
And remember, there's no such thing as a silly question 🙃

Language is absolutely essential to keeping any culture alive and healthy, and as someone who studies linguistics and languages I am so happy to see so many first nations languages in Australia in a healthy state, including Aboriginal English.
In the United States many of our native languages are in a very sorry state with only few speakers.
    Thank you again Aunty!
