As our cities grow, so does our need for dedicated, experienced firefighters. If you want to join the firefighting profession, get your start right here. Our Firefighter Training Academy prepares you to take the Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Suppression exam, which certifies you for entry-level firefighter positions throughout the state. From there you can also choose to complete our Associate of Applied Science degree in firefighting. This qualifies you to take other state exams that can lead to advanced careers in fire inspection, fire investigation, hazardous materials emergency response, and emergency management. Whether firefighting is a childhood dream or a new ambition, you can make it happen here.
