Fenslerfilm PSA 23 - Japanese

- This PSA is entirely in Japanese. Kids are making a treehouse. One of them falls but Quick Kick arrives just in time to catch him. A conversation in Japanese takes place, but consists mainly of basic greetings ("What time is it?", "Nice to meet you" or "How are you?") and has little relevance (when translated) to the incidents in the PSA. The closing chorus is sung in Japanese ("Jii wara tashi fu sukuru!"). The timing, music, and ending are all parodies of classic anime.
This is FenslerfilmPreserve, a UA-cam channel dedicated to preserving the classic Fenlerfilm GI Joe PSA parodies. Every single parody has been uploaded here, remastered by Bronx Rican (using the original audio from the PSA and DVD-quality video from the original PSAs).
I've been doing the Japanese Duolingo course, and randomly remembered this. Good times.
I love the HD quality of the image.
The first tune is from some sound archive that was also used for the game Worms Armageddon, you can choose it as your winner tune... It was also used for a commercial I remember from the 90s.
Also used for the Infernal Orchestra in TF2.
I remember it from Piglet's Big Game
Money Town as well. I found this longer version someone uploaded. ua-cam.com/video/hMFWOij6Mik/v-deo.htmlsi=b5QqtRqq2ZY0SU37
@@rbt4866 Finally!
I appreciate this description because I was looking specifically for the translation. Thanks.
here's the full translation, except for the parts where i couldn't make out what they were saying
"what time is it?"
"..... please wait"
*high pitched scream*
"hello"
"nice to meet you"
"takata-san is ......"
"are you doing well?"
"........ is it not?"
"nice to meet you"
"...... please hang up the phone"
"..... again"
This is so funny cause it is basic Japanese greetings and sayings just mixed together...but it sounds nice if you do not understand any Japanese.
the outro is icing on the cake
I love it all so much!
This Fensler PSA is great because it has just the right amount of "WTF".
Funny how the description - which usually mentions where certain sound bytes come from - didn't mention that 0:14 came from John Williams' Star Wars: Episode IV soundtrack. It's from the moment where Obi-Wan is mimicking a Krayt dragon to scare away Tusken raiders.
the sound nerdiness in fenslerfilm gi joe descriptions and comments makes me so happy
Love how "Joe" in Japanese is six syllables.
The funniest part is, the Japanese translation for G.I Joe is ジー・アイ・ジョー (pronounced Jee Ai Jō).
“Hajimemashite” and “dozo yoroshiku” 🤣
Splendid
Sugoi desu lolololol😂😂😂😂😂
I don't know what to say about this but it's funny
My neighbor Quick Kick.
That kid a terrible fucking engineer
What language is this?
Well that was easy
Would have been even better if they changed "A real American hero" to
"A real Japanese hero"
or
"本当の日本の英雄"
Me going into japan like:
"Wh-wh-where're the captions?"
Thank you for translating this!!!
NANI?!
