At least kendo actually LIVES in this rando. I kid you not, in RE 1.5, Kendo is literally there right at the end, on the same train that is used in RE2. In other words, Kendo was originally going to take a big part in Elza's scenario (the prototype version of claire). I always thought "Why doesn't Kendo just come with Leon and Claire to the police station instead of hiding behind that glass window??"
The ending was great. Kendo lives, and Leon fights all final bosses with the countdown to destruction timer resetting more times than Goku vs Frieza on Namek.

The RE2 soundtrack is burned into my mind from high school. It was the first RE I ever played and I beat all four scenarios and then became obsessed with hunting down zombie movies (this is when zombie movies were all old and rare.. there wasn't even an RE movie yet.)

Very true, however, it didn't help that the PS3/360 versions are the absolute dirt worst ways to experience the game. Muddy textures, bad frame rate, camera that was too close and shook too much. I didn't think too much of RE6 until I bought it on PS4 sale about a year ago. Gave it another chance and ended up getting the platinum. Yes, it's over the top, action packed and has ridiculous monsters, but nothing that RE4 or RE5 didn't already bring to the table. HD versions improved on every aspect of the game and even the QTEs are easier to pull off and less frustrating (things like rotating both analogue sticks to turn valves faster and replacing alternating shoulder button presses to just one shoulder button press repeatedly). It went from down the bottom of my favourite REs to right up near the top. TL:DR- Give RE6 another shot, just not on PS3 or 360.
Well, I played it and thought it was terrible, jerky controls, uninteresting enemies and story, QTE's galore, forgettable music. Only thing it had going were the graphics which were decent... can't please everyone I guess.
Robert Lambert actually can you elaborate more? I tried to play the last mission of RE6 on Leon side back on the first week the game came out and the QTEs asked me to smash the buttons so much that I decided to stop a profesional playtrough out of fear of breaking my controller, did they fix that for both PS3 and PS4 version or do I have to use my trigger finger to pass the QTEs?
@@josetomascamposrobledano4618 They eased up a lot on the amount that you need to mash to succeed in a QTE. Using my thumb to mash I comfortably passed all QTEs on Leon's final mission. From what I remember, the QTEs are to punch Simmons in the face, run down the street with the explosions behind you, the timed QTEs in the helicopter, and the climbing of the elevator cables, which is now simply repeatedly pressing R2/RT. All pretty easy on the HD version.

Most of RE4's came after you enter the castle (Verdugo, most confrontations with Salazar, running from Salazar statue, EVERY encounter with Krauser), as did RE5 with Wesker and any chase sequence. RE6 didn't have dramatically more, they just stick in people's mind more because they initially were quite difficult. Also, the counter is pretty much a QTE, but are entirely optional.
Thats one of the major flaws of the Re2 Remake The other one are the missing, different A and B scenarios Game would be an absolute masterpiece if they included that

I really enjoy all your runs of the RE games and i am memorised by how fast you can get through each one. but this by far is the one that has me hooked the most! I'm literally on the edge of my seat hoping you beat this!
Even at 360p it’s a damn nice clean set up you’ve got, bit rate is king. Also lol at Twitch chat who just basically just have people saying they don’t understand a randomizer, people answering then someone else asking the same thing. It never ends.
RE6 wasn't shit, but everything was just decent at best. They tried to please everybody, then ended up being unfocused and doing almost nothing particularly well. The best parts are some of Leon's campaign and Chris' ending, but besides that, it's a forgettable game imo.
I will say the production values for a video game were insane, really did feel like a movie. I dunno if it necessarily deserved all of its sales but it definitely warranted a lot of them. But yeah they tried to fit too much in there, I feel like a mainline resident evil should always keep horror at least even with the action. If they wanted a sidestory game with Chris and Piers where it's run and gun CoD co-op, alright, but it felt so out of place. Leon's campaign felt just right to me. I would like one last game with most of the old cast we love, since they're all getting pretty old lol, wrap up Leon and Ada's little love story, have Chris feel like his duty is over and can pass it over to someone new, something like that. But it would be hard to do. Then they can continue the series with Ethan or Zoe or something from there.

Because what makes it memorable for people is the mixing of horror and plot, what makes it different was the use of puzzles and problem solving, and what makes it replayable are the action parts.

And well RE isn't like Silent Hill where your protagonist is a helpless everyday guy (at least for most of them), your protagonist is almost always a military action hero. So it's hard to make a game around a character like Chris or Jill and think "well why wouldn't they just punch/kick the shit out of these dudes?" I feel like what makes RE unique in the horror genre nowadays is that you do have these ways to defend yourself and fight back against the threat. Of course it's easy to go overboard with that but RE7 hit a good balance I feel.
For me if re6 was not a re game and it was it's own thing it would have been ok but it was just awful as a re game. Bioshock infinite suffered from this too.

Bawk knows what's up! I loved playing RE 4 and taking turns with my dad. Got that and our Wii on Christmas 09'. That was a big change in the games we played. Lol We have put I don't know how many hours into that game across multiple systems. Then we got RE 5 and our 360 the next Christmas. Finally being able to play at the same time was great. We beat that one significantly faster than our first time playing through 4. (Though I was the one to beat both of them in the end. Haha)

I agree with your opinion on RE6. Also, RE6 was made specifically for Co-op otherwise you probably won’t find it too fun (similarly with RE5) so unless you play it with a friend, it probably would be kinda bad.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to play games. Sure do miss the days of 2016 and 2017, especially when I got RE7. Time no longer permits. On occasion I will hook up a game for 45 minutes at most. I will definitely be playing RE2 Remake however and completing it but after that, it goes back to the reality of life.

5 coop was amazing. 6 had some great moments and some shoddy moments. The endless battle with the main protagonist (t-rex mode) was a bit much. On average I'd say it was fun but compared to the other main entries it was weakest. imo: 2, 1, 3, 4, 5, CV, 6, 0
To each their own, but after playing through Leon's RE6 campaign 4 times, 2 on normal (Leon and Helena), and 2 on Pro, you hopefully learn of the hidden weakspot on the T-Rex's back that is covered by plating. After learning of that, the fight never took more than a few minutes, even on Pro. Same with Haos on Chris's campaign. I ended up doing that single player with Chris with just a handgun (You can tell Piers to do his electro-arm attack through the input commands). It's a shame that the game doesn't tell you any of this, as this makes the game less frustrating and less of a slog to play through. Anyway, my personal best to worst is Remake, 2, 3, 6, 4, 7, CVX, 0, 5.
The imbalance of power between Leon and Claire is kinda funny. Claire gets two good pistols and the GL which is good for multi target. She also gets the bow gun which is worthless except for clearing zombies. But Leon has a decent pistol, a shotgun which also has multi target capabilities and you find a lot more ammo for it throughout the game, and his magnum which is insanely powerful and also can hit multiple targets lmao. I played Claire A Leon B my first playthrough and I loved Claire’s campaign but when I got to Leon it felt like I was playing on easy mode lmao.

P.S Now that I got to think about it if you don't know all the pick up locations you could miss a key item correct? like you didn't know about the flower pot "or just forgot" couldn't that be like the club key?
Dafuq! This is awesome! I used to love speed running the original back in the day with the Xplorer cheat card, before they removed the port for it haha. Even with the RE2 remake coming out I'm looking at this version of the original and hoping sony will release it on the PS4 with these visual upgrades, the rendering is awesome on this!!
I think it's funny when Leon says it's his duty to protect her as an officer.. when in reality no officer has the charge of protecting any civilian, even if they are under attack right in front of them.

not sure if this would be capable but a cool randomizer would be you play re2 for a while, go through door and then when you come out the other side, its a different RE game. Either 1 or 3. And you have too figure out where in part 1 or 3 you are in and continue the game from there. The random would jump from game to game and you are essentially playing all of them at the same time, constantly having to remember where you are in each part, each item, puzzle, etc

There is a big culture divide in the resident evil fanbase and resident evil 4 for me is the best of both worlds. the classic games ,and brought so much more for the resident evil series and also the future of gaming it's self. I agree with your opinion on RE6. Also, RE6 was made specifically for Co-op otherwise you probably won’t find it too fun (similarly with RE5) so unless you play it with a friend, it probably would be kinda bad.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to play games. Sure do miss the days of 2016 and 2017, especially when I got RE7. Time no longer permits. On occasion I will hook up a game for 45 minutes at most.
I will definitely be playing RE2 Remake however and completing it but after that, it goes back to the reality of life.

5 coop was amazing. 6 had some great moments and some shoddy moments. The endless battle with the main protagonist (t-rex mode) was a bit much. On average I'd say it was fun but compared to the other main entries it was weakest. imo: 2, 1, 3, 4, 5, CV, 6, 0
To each their own, but after playing through Leon's RE6 campaign 4 times, 2 on normal (Leon and Helena), and 2 on Pro, you hopefully learn of the hidden weakspot on the T-Rex's back that is covered by plating. After learning of that, the fight never took more than a few minutes, even on Pro. Same with Haos on Chris's campaign. I ended up doing that single player with Chris with just a handgun (You can tell Piers to do his electro-arm attack through the input commands). It's a shame that the game doesn't tell you any of this, as this makes the game less frustrating and less of a slog to play through. Anyway, my personal best to worst is Remake, 2, 3, 6, 4, 7, CVX, 0, 5.

The imbalance of power between Leon and Claire is kinda funny. Claire gets two good pistols and the GL which is good for multi target. She also gets the bow gun which is worthless except for clearing zombies. But Leon has a decent pistol, a shotgun which also has multi target capabilities and you find a lot more ammo for it throughout the game, and his magnum which is insanely powerful and also can hit multiple targets lmao. I played Claire A Leon B my first playthrough and I loved Claire’s campaign but when I got to Leon it felt like I was playing on easy mode lmao.

@Bawkbasoup 4:40 there is a healing herb in the big flower pot on the back side, "considering it randomizer it could be anything tho" also brad only comes if you make it to the station without firing a shot or picking up anything.
P.S Now that I got to think about it if you don't know all the pick up locations you could miss a key item correct? like you didn't know about the flower pot "or just forgot" couldn't that be like the club key?
Dafuq! This is awesome! I used to love speed running the original back in the day with the Xplorer cheat card, before they removed the port for it haha. Even with the RE2 remake coming out I'm looking at this version of the original and hoping sony will release it on the PS4 with these visual upgrades, the rendering is awesome on this!!
I think it's funny when Leon says it's his duty to protect her as an officer.. when in reality no officer has the charge of protecting any civilian, even if they are under attack right in front of them.

not sure if this would be capable but a cool randomizer would be you play re2 for a while, go through door and then when you come out the other side, its a different RE game. Either 1 or 3. And you have too figure out where in part 1 or 3 you are in and continue the game from there. The random would jump from game to game and you are essentially playing all of them at the same time, constantly having to remember where you are in each part, each item, puzzle, etc
