I think it boils down to weight distribution and traction...When they hammer down the front immediately raises up and becomes very light. No need for big tires up front on these unlimited 2 wheel drive monsters!
Check out some mega truck tug of war/sled pull videos. 4wd unlimited sled pulling trucks...They mostly run equal size tires front/rear because 4wd and huge counter weights on the front bumper. Hope that helps
I have seen five V-8s on one tractor. Sometimes they connect the two side engines together, crank to crank. But all the engines are connected to the same main gear drive, by driveshafts connected in multiple spots around the gear. It spreads the load out on the main gear drive.
There are Several Chassis Builders around the Country...Tim Engler (Engler Machines), Bob Barbie (Modern Machines), Scott Tedder (Tedder Pulling/Mister Twister) are 3 of the BEST!! You can Stair-Step the Engines, Run them Side Saddle...Then Each Engine has its own Clutch, and you tie them all to the Main Driveline with a Series of Cross Boxes!!!
The most I ever saw was 7 supercharged big block Chevies built by the Banter Brothers around 1984. 12,000 pound Unlimited Modified class. The sanctioning body didn't want to see that many engines on a tractor, so they lowered the max weight for Unlimited to somewhere around 8000 pounds.
Damn, back in the day we thought a simple blown small block was insane on a super mini! Lol, we couldn't have imagined what those guys are running! No wonder they ride like a bucking bronco! A lil heavy on hp and light on everything else!
plow it has a big weight that is attached to a rail system driven forward by the movement of the tires on the plow to increase the weight on the front as you move forward
If I ever build one of the tractors to pull, I think a guy should keep the HD front end parts on his tractor may not have to put as many steel plates up there too
I really wanted to see the Mack make a pull but he forgot to put a forward gear in his truck... either that or he forgot to take the truck out of reverse! 🤣. Man don’t you know that guy (or gal) was Embarrassed
These hardly reach the finish line without problems. Why don't they use a normal tractor, like Massey Ferguson 8737, John Deere 8rt or a Case IH Quadtrac. They'd pull slow and steady
Actually these make full passes without issues most of the time. This is a a mishaps video from a whole season. In 2019, we taped around 2,650 passes. Check out our other videos on our channel from full events with complete passes.
WELCOME TO RECOMMENDATION👍
I was wondering if anyone had it in reverse instead of forward. Came across this older video and it was great.
The last semi truck did, he reversed into the sled instead of going forwards
2:02 the thumbnail moment🔥
03:04 that was a rough ride. Never understood the fascination with mini rods.
4:27 when you take the wrong gear
Thumbs up to the guys who welded those joints
I can here from watching big old steam-powered Cases pulling these sleds. They make it look so effortless.
They can change a lot with the weight transfer machines to make it easier/harder to pull.
2:06 "WOAH!" Big POW!
How much weight do they pull
Why do some of these machines have such tiny wheels in the front? Great video!

They use the smaller front tires so that they can move the Engines Forward, for more Front End Weight!!
no point in having big wheels if they don't even touch the ground
@@brettsharbono3022 yes then it falls back down and snaps those tiny shits away ......big 8 lug wheels heck even double pickup wheels could do better
Who is building these ? How can you attach 4 v8s to one drive train then some how make them all cooperate?

There are some with multiple gas turbines in them i seen one that had 4

Front wheel can't be any small than that? 2:55
I don’t think so, they probably wouldn’t be able to take the weight, they are probably small to create as little weight as possible though
Smiling Matt i think it is better with bigger wheels because they weight more and then it dont whelie
Sry bad english
😅🤣
0:41 what did it throw out ?
Engine
Intercooler
So what’s are they doing here?
The thumbnail looked good

What in the hell at 1:27?? Aborting the Run was an option for quite awhile LOL
1:33 were you the original person who recorded that class or was it PPL?
I recorded the pull. I am also the one that does the videos for PPL.

4:05 Dodge? ....Run like hell!
It’s the best truck tho
Does anyone knows what's the point of this?
I find it funny how much they have to drive the things to go straight.
Make sure you properly bolt down the engine very nice though 😂
Yessss been looking forward to this!!
Alguien en español porfavor que me explique 🤔
1:02 bruh why 4 super charges lol
If you have to ask, you'll never understand!

Gasta o dinheiro todo no motor e não consegue colocar umas rodas dianteiras mais reforçadas.....
WHAT WAS THAT BEAST WHIT THE 4 BIG ENGING
Super Modified pulling tractor. We have lots of videos of these on our channel in action.

На 0:48 они ему так показывают будто он слепой

Knarly! The blonde hair track girl knows what's up...Pretty too!
Amazing!
Last one is my favourite
I really wanted to see the Mack make a pull but he forgot to put a forward gear in his truck... either that or he forgot to take the truck out of reverse! 🤣. Man don’t you know that guy (or gal) was Embarrassed
It's not a Mack, it's a Peterbilt. . .

Hahahahahahhaha
Jokers 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Yeah it's not a mini truck 😂 it is designed to stop 10,000+ horsepower machines.
@@JPPullingProductions oh thank you Jp productions
