The Met used to do some performances in English, I think because of all the spoken dialogue. (Before supertitles remember). Siepi’s German was excellent. Gurnemanz was one of his last Met roles.

I think you know, but Osmin is from „Die Entführung aus dem Serail“, which would have been mindblowing with Siepi. Cosí fan tutte is Don Alfonso, a small role not actually or necessarily for a bass. There are some arias by Mozart with Siepi, I recommend „Per questa bella mano“. Siepi was and still is the God of all Basses.

No, and as far as I know there is no recording of Siepi as Osmin in Cosi fan tutte. Maybe his basso cantante voice was too noble for this buffo role.
