Spring in the Prairie Garden

The only snowfall of the entire season that flattened the prairie grasses in the prairie garden actually happened in the Spring! 2" to 2 1/2" of wet heavy snow fell last night and laid the entire garden flat - with the exception of a few Indian Grass plants. These grasses will stand back up again when the snow melts, and I will be getting in there with the brush whacker and cut everything down to just above the crowns.
