    I have the MV 50 AC,, I got It 18 months ago, it’s Exceeded all the expectations I had, obviously is not going to sound like the tube driven Hand wired AC 30, but the tone is undeniably Vox, It’s very bright and shiny, especially with a telecaster, it takes pedals extremely well, Hopefully in the future they will add and effects loop, I think this is a very underrated amp, I love the videos and reviews that you do, I appreciate the fact that you gave some love to this little powerhouse

      @@marciano777010995 I honestly do not use it at this point, I think it was a good idea with the technology, but it lacks in features Like delay or reverb. It definitely sounds fantastic as a clean platform, I haven’t found it to be very good taking any type of overdrive pedal

      What genre do you play? I'm thinking about the mv50 clean but i'm not sure if it would be loud enough in a pop punk/ post hardcore band.

    • @TheDilligan
      @TheDilligan 4 роки тому +1

      @@thomasdendtler4077 I have the AC and I'm playing through a 8ohm cab. At 8ohms, it is limited to 25w and it is still the loudest amp I've ever owned. It's volume/watt ratio is more like tube watts than solid state watts. So on an 8ohm cab, at 25w it's about as loud as an AC30. at 4 ohms, it should get a bit louder. That should be plenty for any situation.

    • @thomasdendtler4077
      @thomasdendtler4077 4 роки тому

      @@TheDilligan I haven't thought much about the AC to be honest.. Can you get good clean tones at that volume? I'm just worried the gain will disrupt that..

    • @TheDilligan
      @TheDilligan 4 роки тому

      @@thomasdendtler4077 It is difficult to get up to that volume clean on an AC. And I've found that to be true with my real AC15 too. If I leave the gain at zero, I can crank the volume all the way up in my apartment. It's very loud but I can still play indoors. To get the real power out of this thing, you need to turn the gain up. Below 5 on gain, you can still be relatively clean and get pretty loud. Above 5 is where you start to get that vox crunch. If both your gain and volume are half way up on an 8ohm cab, it is pretty freakin loud. But it will be crunchy, not clean. Once the gain is above 5 you'll get quite a bit of crunch, Brian May-esque distortion.
      I'm a big pedal guy and I'm doing a lot of jazz now, so thats why I'm back here looking at the Clean version. It doesn't have a gain knob, but a two-band EQ and a volume. So I'm hoping the clean can get up to those higher volume levels like the AC, but without getting too crunchy.

    • @TheDilligan

    • @penkunator
      @penkunator 5 років тому +1

      MV50 Clean: Fender style clean tone, three control knobs: Treble, Bass, and Volume. Even if you crank the volume, you don't get that much overdrive.
      MV50 AC: Vox AC-series style tone, three control knobs: Gain, Tone (ie. Treble), and Volume. The range of gain knob is quite large, going from cleans to soaring distortion.
      The main strenght of the "Clean" version is the fact that none of the MV50 amps have an internal reverb or an effects loop, so with any other version (there's also "Rock", "Boutique", and "High Gain") using a reverb or delay pedal means the sound of the reverb/delay will get modified by the amp's pre-amp gain stage. With "Clean", you can just put your reverb/delay pedal after your overdrive pedals in the effect chain so it works as intended.
      Vox has since released a new AC style Nutube amp head called "Vox MSB25 Mini SuperBeetle" and that one has the best sides of both amps (Bass, Treble, Gain, and Volume knobs + internal reverb) while also adding a tremolo and having a way more classic visual look, but it is only sold as a pair with a 10 inch speaker cab (meaning double the price, whether you want the cab or not).

      @@theceoofgibson2563 Hi, Jack, thank you so much for your reply, however i have already bought the MV 50 with two Bc 108 cabinets , depends how you are setting the head, can be 4/ 8 / 16 Ohm. As i have learned, you can connect two Bc 108 together with the in/ out connections that are placed in the back. The maximum watts are 50, actually i'm using one cabinet only with 25 watts, and, in the room where i'm practising with the band, that's enough. A good helper,anyway, is using a compressor to improve the quality of the sound.
      All my best to you, Patrick 🇮🇹🇺🇸

Picture this: shave the beard and mustache, take off those man jeans and shirts, mans watch and rings, now put on a nice dress and you are seeing the real person -a girl. She's very good at reviews too, all her hand and hip motions keep my interest as does the slightly drunk/high/feminine demeanor and facial expressions. Ha ha ! Take it easy, please, it's only meant to be humorous comment and not an accusation! I'm just bored today! I mean no harm.
