    All these years i've been watching John do Rig Rundowns,never knew he could play, much less this good, lol. I thought he was a sales tech. Nice little hybrid, need one now.

    I have it mounted to my pedalboard. For size and sound, you couldn't find a better apartment amp or pedal platform. 10/10 product!

      I was thinkin’ just as you !! (Because it’s got that bug clunky power surge / battery part that WILL get lost if not Velcro’d to your pedalboard 🤟)

    I seldom utilize the clean of any amp but the cleans you dialled outta that tiny pocket sized monster Vox MV50, they sounded tasty like fresh baked breads right outta ovens.

    I honestly would not put this up against my AC30HW2. But it does sound very good in its own right. I would definitely consider taking one along as a backup.

      Yeah, or at least some reverb..

    • @ryanteacher8134
      @ryanteacher8134 6 років тому +4

      I agree. I'd buy one in a heart beat if they did. But real ACs don't even have effects loop, right?

    • @lucaszembrzuski
      @lucaszembrzuski 6 років тому

      @@ryanteacher8134 yes, they dont, but they have a nice spring reverb and tremolo.. this is a hybrid construction, there is no way they couldn't put some reverb chip or a loop after the nutube preamp and before the transistor poweramp.

      Just buy a boss tremelo and the rv5 and you're golden. I mean this thing is under 300 bucks. Sounds incredible in person for the price. It actually replaced my ac15 head....

  • @ramos.nitrorc

    Hello, When connecting line out to PA, do you suggest a cabinet simulation DI box (hughes Kettners Red box)? or does this already have amp modeling so I would just use a regular DI box, then XLR to PA system.
    Thanks.

    • @johnbohlinger4868
      @johnbohlinger4868 7 років тому +3

      the amp has cab simulation. You can run straight to the board.

    Can I run this into a 4 ohm 20 or 30 watt speaker if it has a 50 watt rating?

    • @superfishially
      @superfishially 11 місяців тому

      At 4 ohm, you get the full 50 watts. Good chance the speakers will break up if really cranked.
      I doubt really cranking would be necessary, though.
      I run my MV50 “Clean” through an 8 ohm speaker, which cuts it to 25 watts. I barely turn it up to half, and it’s more than loud enough for any venue I’ve used it on so far!

    Why didn't this tube technology take off

  • @TheAngello120
    @TheAngello120 7 років тому +2

    Tried one in a big store, guy set it up and just left us to noodle in booth, totally unimpressed sounded like a cheap fuzz pedal, my mate went back a few weeks later and got a better demo, bought one and stuck it after his Boss GT board direct out into p.a.and his sound is now amazing ! so obviously we had it set wrong to start with, the small speaker is not worth having but the amp really does the job.

  • @brunojacq5473
