I was there! Alone in New York. Second day walking in a street in Brooklyn...I could not believe my own eyes when I saw the poster. "Lou Reed Berlin in St. Annes warehouse. My greatest consertexperience. Thank you So much!
I love this live version. Lou knows exactly what he wants his track to sound like, and I love watching him in his element. Plus Steve Hunter beside him is the icing on the cake.
I was gonna say something about Beiber and Gaga, but the hell with it. I'm GLAD only 5418 views of this masterpiece are on the books, and that nine of them are me.
Hey he was an okay singer til his 30s,although I guess you can say that about anyone before 30 if they find the right back beat,he certainly found his in the 70s and onwards. Talk singing has never sounded so smooth nor will it ever, even his street hassle albums where he sounds like he's doing bad karaoke, I really wouldn't have it any other way.

Great version of one of his best songs.
I just love no, adore the way the song slips into the acoustic part, it's so rock 'n roll yet so delicate. genius

Damn yes! He is one of the fewest to still give Lou the chillz while jamming, beautiful!

Nobody looks at the director.
i loved lou reed. a terrible guitarist. a non singer. and still it worked.
The thing is, he didn't care that he sang badly or that his songs were bad. He is Lou being Lou.
