And now that you've heard the stories of Yui and Mikio being gone, if you listen to the Trilogy of Light(s). Even if the rumor of their tribute isn't real, the songs will still hit you differently.
Note what it said that already at the end of the Metal Galaxy tour, March 2020, Momo was the only Avenger that remained with the band, the others having left for other projects. She hung on as the Last Avenger for a long time.
Nice one! Just to clarify: after Yui stopped performing but before she left, Babymetal had 2-5 additional backup dancers to support Su & Mo. then, in 2019, The Avengers replaced the temporary backup dancers. And you’re correct, 1 of the 3 avengers rotated in to support Su & Moa. And yes, Mikio’s passing hit everyone hard, especially Takayoshi Ohmura (pink glam guitar), he was Mikio’s understudy 😢. 🤘🦊
Red/White festival (Kohaku) is a new year/ end of year show, only the most popular artists for the year are invited, usually 3-4 hours long. Everyone hopes to be invited, an honor for a good year.
I hope after you've posted all 7 parts you will go back and watch the whole thing again by yourselves without the need to pause and talk for a reaction .... I think it will sink in better and be less confusing for you the second time around - or watch Omajination's short guide as a sort of refresher.
There's also a higher probability that Mikio's death impacted Yui's decision heavily as well. She's also described star gazing as one of her favourite activities outside of school/work. There's a higher than zero chance that's a hobby/activity she shared with Mikio himself. There's even a small chance she was present when that occured. Ofcourse that's all speculation, but that's not an invented fact, she mentioned it in an interview how star gazing was one of her favourite things to do. There had to have been a connection there with Mikio. His untimely death can not not have had a huge impact on her - especially as she was in a down period herself having missed Legend S (her friend and someone she admired for years Su-Metal). That's also the reason many people speculate that the song Starlight (and the subsequent songs Shine and Arkadia) are inspired and tributes to both Mikio and Yui - and not just to one or the other. Ofcourse, they wrote it in a way that anyone can use that song to relate themselves to whatever they want - that's the beauty of music.
You guys should definitely check out Bring Me The Horizon and Babymetal wholesome relationship video. "BRING ME THE HORIZON and BABYMETAL | Road to Kingslayer"
Time causes everything to fade away. That is only exacerbated when you are young and grow up. Su and Moa have said they don't really remember much from earlier times. Fans probably remember more of those times than them. This likely applies to Yui as well as they went their separate ways.
if you react to elevator girl do the japanese version. also i dont know if you've ever seen those IG photos of people on the top of buildings? its like a competition to see who can get the craziest photo from the most dangerous position? a friend of mine in japan says there was a similar trend for start gazing, like who could climb to the most dangerous place to get the best photo and so many people were falling and injuring themselves or dying they had to run news stories and get like security at famous spots to stop people, so its been implied thats how he fell. from some place super high and or dangerous
🍑 ⚡ 💕 There are a couple of things in this part of the guide that are true, but might be a little confusing. The first show with one of the avengers as a supporting dancer and F.HERO as a special guest, is described as "When in June of 2019 the first major concert of the year was held." It was the first BABYMETAL concert in 2019 of any kind, not just the first major concert. Later in the Guide, talking about the LA Forum concert, it says: "The show would also feature the new additions to the Kami Band, as four members from the US were added to the lineup." That's true, but they were added at the beginning of the 2019 tour in the USA in Orlando, FL, on September 9th, 2019. Not at the LA Forum show on October 11th, 2019. At that point, they had already done sixteen shows with BABYMETAL. Yes, I understand that I might be only person concerned about either of these things. : ) BTW, Eastern Kami Band member Takayoshi Ohmura holds an annual fundraising concert in memory of Mikio Fujioka. This is for the benefit of Mikio's wife and daughter.
The Japanese versions of Elevator Girl and The One are both superior to the English versions. BABYMETAL just released their most recent performance of Elevator Girl (Japanese version) on the website and it is a great performance. Make sure that you choose the MOST RECENT performance.
In 2019 the Avengers were added (but only one would perform at a time with Suzuka and Moa because both Suzuka and Moa as well as the fans preferred the 3 person concept). The fact that it took 3 years before they would officially announce a new member to me shows that BABYMETAL is far from a manufactured corporate band where any person can just take another's place because they waited 3 years until they were confident the third girl would work.
Mikio fell from an observation platform leaving behind a wife and son. Mikio was revered and known as "The Little Guitar God" because of his small stature. Mikio was constantly smiling onstage and I personally believe that his absence left such a hole in The East Kami Band that this may be the reason that the West Kami's (and they are awesome) have become the primary tour band for BABYMETAL today. (All my opinion)
Su rarely looked happy on the 2018 tour, at least what I saw. It was clearly hard. Yui’s loss was hard but as mentioned she is still alive. Mikio was a singular talent and left a family behind. For me his loss was harder. Seeing him perform his solo in Tales of the Destinies usually makes me tear up.
This is what I wrote: - When BM announced YuiMetal was not in conditions to performed at Legend S Baptism XX SuMetal's 20th birthday (December 2017) Su and Moa decided to carry on with the show as a duo and doing all the necessary changes on choreo with just a few days left for the show, also first time MoaMetal doing Black Babymetal songs as a solo. - Ending December Mikio Fujioka had an accident and passed away after a week during early days of 2018. - During 2018 Tour everyone was expecting for YuiMetal to come back but BM didn't announced what happened to her and decided to follow with the live tour as a duo with two backup dancers called affectionately "muscle-metal" by fans, none of them were the avengers, it is said in the guide. This is also known as Dark Side era. - In October BM and YuiMetal made an official announcement leaving the group due to undisclosed health conditions, that day Starlight is released as an official MV (that's why many fans relate YuiMetal's withdrawal with that song and the trilogy of lights). - Ending October they did Dark Night Carnival live show with new battle dresses (although they were already wearing a new one during the 2018 tour) and that weird and cool hairstyles. They also got this new Chosen Seven lore already shown at Starlight MV, and they added 5 backup dancers to represent the Chosen Seven, one of them was filling the third spot of YuiMetal, but then again none of them were later part of the avengers system. - In 2019 they start with the avengers system, Riho Sayashi and Kano Fujihira were the first during early live shows (rotating but only Riho could travel abroad, Kano were 14 and never couldn't do this), later Momoko shows up at Super Slippa in Taiwan. We will always missed our tomato princess and guitar legend kokami Mikio Fujioka,.🍅🙌❤
I still miss Mikio Fujioka, he was an amazing guitarist and a very nice person!

Also of note in the 2018 tour was the Kansas City concert where apparently the crowd was expecting Yui to be back and she wasn't.

You missed the 2 girls before the Avengers who the fans called Muscle Metal 2018 Avengers 2019

if you listen to elevator girl, PLEASE listen to the japanese version its just better lyrics, vocals and delivery 🖤
You guys don't have your listening ears on AT ALL. The Back up dancers rotated to fill the positions of the third Slot in the formation.

KINGSLAYER (Fancam Compilation) | Bring Me The Horizon ft. BABYMETAL (2023)
Not sure what happened with my comment i left here yesterday.🤔
