When you see 30 approaching quickly, fear begins to set in. Thankfully, as I watched friend after friend gracefully reach their 30th birthday, I had plenty of time to warm up to the idea. Unexpectedly, while searching for birthday card idea, I stumbled across a quote. "Do not regret growing older. It's a privilege denied to many." That sure hit me right in the gut and made me realize how I've been viewing aging all wrong. Every single day is a gift. I know this to be true and yet it is so easy to forget. Each breath is a blessing from God. When I look to my past I am so thankful for the life I've lived. I have truly been blessed in abundance.
My sweet sister planned and threw me a surprise party filled with all my friends and family, My mom cooked and planned games, my aunt hosted the party and my dad even decorated! Thank you, thank you , thank you for showering me with all the love! I couldn't ask for a more loving family and caring friends.
Younger me would have never imagined I would have this much joy turning 30. Truly, I wouldn’t change a thing. The best is yet to come!
