- Sabbassige soppu palya is a simple and delicious accompaniment with sorghum roti. It's most staple food of North Karnataka region. Since these leaves are nutrient rich, it's best to consume when they are in season.

Ingredients
Pigeon pea lentils (toor dal) - 1/4 cup
Dill leaves(sabbassige soppu) - 2 bunch
Onion chopped - 1/2 cup
Garlic cloves - 3 no.
Green chillies - 2 nos.
Salt - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
To Temper
Oil - 2.5 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
White lentils - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - few
