Raise ya kids with a car addiction. they wont have money for a drug addiction.
true
You can find em as a shell pretty cheap. dont have to wait that long. buy it when you can, build it. know the car in n out.
that's my family in a nutshell
oooh mate im 16 and already saving for a car chassis to work on and ive learned driving from my dad in an awd v6 mazda 626
dude gamerhd go back to school kid your spelling is garbage
"Time to shift to second!... LoooL where the f*** did the shifter go!"
I know exactly what it's like to be one of the only car guys at school. It sucks
same
I'm literally the only one
I wear my Hoonigan shirts and stuff and no one knows what that is
yea..
Yeah it sucks a lot
I know that...
To have your mom look at you drifting and smile, I think that's adream for most
The 11 year old is a better drifter i will rver be
LOL! thats exactly what i thought when i saw him drift in the middle of the parking area. shared run in family passion is amazing!
Man, when I was 15 all my stepdad did was tell me to get a job.
Joecoolman26 I know parents suck these days. all I got to do with my dad was swing hammers and cut stuff and build shit I don't care about in the blistering Texas heat. thanks
I'm young and I want to become a pro drifter. I wish I had the resources this dude and his little brother have.
Its not all about resources and money when it comes to becoming a drifter. Alot of the FD drivers aren't rich their sponsors really help them. You can do a budget build drift car and still be very competitive. Half of it is the driver. Its all about seat time and practice. I just started drifting and I really sucked at first and im not great by any means but im getting better. I guess seat time and doing grassroots competitions as often as possible is the best way to becoming a better driver. Dont be scared of jumping in a learning you only live once so you have to make sure you do what you want and makes you happy
This kid is killing it out there, that one section over all those bumps alone shows his talent...
I love seeing the father and son wrenching their hearts out to keep the dream going, wish my dad would get his head outta his ass and help me finish my build!
"Ya Know" - Pro Drifter's Parents
Probably even his 11 yr old brother is a better drifter than what I will ever be!
I'm continually impressed by the quality of your videos. Keeps up the good work. This was fantastic.
Incredible talent; it'll be a blast seeing this young man (and brother) become champions!!!

How about some subtitles for this video?
People thought I was watching Snatch.
Capstickk
Oh come on. I'm not even a native english speaker (I'm german) and i understood him just fine.
But maybe that's because i watch alot of TV-Series with mostly UK actors and actresses, haha.
Ti Ma This is Ireland not UK ,
Again, what are your ears, potatoes?
+Capstickk lol i could not hear a thing he said
I'm dead rn XD
That's what a family should be like.
Not even old enough to drive in US
***** nor Ireland
+MikeyonPC old enough to drive on a track.
amazing!!!! more videos like these... keep it up bro!
Great Video! Irish drifting is of an incredibly high standard, XCAR should look into doing some coverage of the IDC Irish Drift Championship!
This dude is such a bro. What an awesome family.
Lol he is very lucky and has an awesome father that allows him to drift and supports him . 😎💪👍 Most parents would deny something like that.
Salute U dude.... Best of Luck for your Future
Met these lads yesterday, great talent!
Beautiful and inspiring story. Nice production carfection.
That was a nice story. It's great to see that this is a family thing where the dad and son build the car together and take care of it. Unlike maybe some other rich spoiled driver with a team of mechanics fixing up the car after every race. Respect!
Well I say good for you man. You do what you love, your family supports you, what more could zou wish for.
Keep up the good work. :)
Please get a transcript of this video! I need captions to understand the talking omfg.
And yes, my native language is English.
Figaro's World They're from County Cork in Ireland.... thats how everyone talks there..
Figaro's World wat do u wanna know ??
Patrick Shanahan I just can't understand what they're saying, probably because I've not heard many Irish speak, being from Australia.
try wearing head phones
Figaro's World Lol, I am german and had more problems to understand Aussies in WA...
Lovely piece.
This is a great story, makes me happy to see something so positive :) Thanks carfection
All the best kid! Wow what a talent.. And that last road track is really awesome.

Its just really cool to see that the whole family is into it!

A better drifter than the world will ever be? That's a very bold statement.
What a great family!
The Retro Lab Thank you :-)
Truely inspiring! Live your dream.
I wish I had the same opportunities as him cus I'm 15 and I would love to have a track car or drift car or even go cart
Good on him and good luck to him! pro-drifter yet can't even take mum & dad's car to the local shop for milk and eggs...love it!
Kickin' and flickin'...Stay blessed!
What a cool family! So genuine :)
An amazing humble family.
Excellent video.😊
Wow this is an incredible story! Wish my dad let me drift when i was 11! :)
Serious skill for a 15 year old! 👌 He only lives a few miles out the road from me actually haha!
That moment when you watch an 11 year old drift your car 100x better than you ever have....
Santillean you must not know about drift car building then bud. your car is probably crap
Nice photography. Well done 😁
Great story. I hope these boys have a long career in the autosport world. Seems like they deserve it.
I’m watching this 3 years after this was uploaded, now Connor has his FD pro license, crazy how much he has changed visually.
i dont like the compact at all , but with the wider wheel arches and no bumper it looks kinda niceee
+Dacrazy-can me neither but weight reduction bro
whispers ( weight reduction )
Truly inspiring
Not fair !! I'm a crazy lover boy in driving/drifting stuff since I was kid and nobody cares or supports me xd ...
+#Super Awesome same here.
+#Super Awesome it's like : I wanna be the next raikkonen and they're like who dafuq is that, fuck off
+MahmoudJoma'a -Diko im 15 2 weeks from being 16 and no ones gives 2 shits about my intrests about cars and driving
Sounds like i'm not the only one who have, but believe me guys the legends atleast could be from who had no support or something like us :D.
#Super Awesome same man I feel ya
For those who had difficulty trying to understand this guy through his accent, use a pair of earphones to hear. It helps a whole lot to hear what he's trying to say.
With money you can do anything you want
But you need passion to be good at it
Buy me a car with passion :P
MateoDeBonis You're talking to someone so broke he can't afford a Xbox controller to play Assetto Corsa on PC
Wow man, that's tough. Imma tell Unicef to send you a controller. Wish ya luck fam.
Love this guy.
This kid is seriously good such amazing control and balance in the drift fuck it was so satisfying to see him drift near the end on that road course well done keep going you'll be a big player in years to come

Awesome!
fair play you lot are spot on
i cant wait untill my 4th gen prelude is known :D and props cars are a lot they test you in so many ways
And that angle in the end tho like damm lol
this here is exactly the feeling of "spiritual drifting"
it takes infinitely more love and teamwork/effort than "cash"
To all the trolls commenting about paper being their only barrier, say that next time a meridian takes your rear alignment out because you were showing off to your bae.
i built a s13 by hand, slid that baby till i broke myself. don't even argue with a video just because you felt jealous of someones natural talent. this kid, and his family, untouchable.
i'd move to ireland just to watch and help u know? legit, spirit drift.
6:40 I couldn't help but laugh a little. Great video as usual!
Just a few more races and he can afford a booster seat.
Kid is absolute quality.
Check out Jacks Facebook page

That foot technique is amazing.
i want that compact!
Talented
Wish i had someone who could actually teach me! These kids are amazing though.
I can
I'm 13 tho
I think a lot has to be said for the Shanahan family, they are the absolute definition of a racing family. I remember when jack was battling I think Luke Fink, and when there was trouble on Luke's car, John was straight in the mix to help in anyway he could, just to give his son's competitor the best chance to go out and compete. Not only talented drivers, but great sportsmen in that household. Irish drifting is going to go a long way with the likes of the Shanahans and Keilys !
and the Deanes
Good lord that M3 sounds so good!!! I'm surprised how much clutch kick he has to do in the slower corners..... My full interior full size M3 would go sideways all day in second with no clutch kick.
You sir have amazing parents.
Dya like dags?
Bloody cool family.
stoppsi You want a drift car you got ta take a dag?
stoppsi Fookin pikies :P
This isn't a pikey accent
Not a pikey accent at all
How do I get into this stuff, I want to become a racer of any autoMotive sport but I don’t know how to start
he looks much oldern than 15 :P
I really enjoyed this movie :D it was hard to understand some parts, but great movie ;)
I hope I will see him and his younger brother in more drift movies
man I'd love to see u in mondello some time
That 11 year old is better than most of us
That 11 yrs kid stunning!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
such supportive parents he has
Both of these kids and the whole family are amazing but when the older one went to reach for the stick and it wasn't there i nearly pissed my pants X) 6:35
Why do they all say "like" or "y'know" every other bloody word
"They"?
Grammar Police "They - Used to refer to two or more people or things previously mentioned or easily identified." I counted at least three separate people talking as I mentioned.
Its like london chavs saying "innit" after everything
TheRapidGamer You're acting as if I watched the video. I did not.
Grammar Police bruh
damn that 11 year old Is good
Damn kickin the shit outta that clutch..
John shanahan is the dad I aspire to be, dude is an absolute hero
the prototype of the hoonigan family lol
I never had the chance to get into drifting or cars being a first generation Canadian with parents who never understood the appeal of racing and cars, but I'm going to make sure my kids start wrenching and driving as soon as possible! Now if only Ontario insurance would fall in price...
Thamin C Belive in ur dreams
A man Jack, keep flyin the flag lad!
dose anyone know of a build thread or spec list for that car?
what a cool family :)
Excellent!!! You can beat Ken Block lol
+daniel shim LOL :))))))))
+daniel shim totally different game driving on dirt though, that shits insanely hard
I totally agree mate
And Ken Block drifts with awd :)
ShinyEdits, yup. Which is way harder. Gotta have some high hp/wheel spin
God protect this man at all costs hes one of a kind
more views please, for a real heart of drifting
Jesus that foot work is insane
This guy is kinda inspirational
If you have a dream, make sure u complete it just like this guy.
reading the comments about their accent...do not worry his driving does the talking.
Any more info on that TI ? What rear subframe was that ?
+TheOg Boosjukie Message Jack on his facebook page facebook.com/jackshanahandrifting?fref=ts
What bmw series is this ??
Holy shit. At 3:51 i thought that bus was gonna drift.
